Pork Fried Dumpling / 猪肉韭菜锅贴 (6 Pcs)
Alessia G.

I absolutely love this place! Everything we order always hits. From the cucumber salad, to the noodles, to the pancake. Everything is absolutely delicious. But I gotta say, my all time favorite dish is the cucumber salad. OMG I could eat it all day everyday. It is just so perfectly seasoned, spicy, refreshing, ugh I loveeee it. The hand pulled noodles are always so good. We've had the noodle soup which is also so good. Literally everything they make is good And besides Bobs Shanghai, I am certain these are the best xiaolongbao I've had in MOCO! They are BIG, juicy, soupy, meaty and so yummy. I don't like that they always forget to give us the vinegar sauce but we ask for it anyways. Highly recommend!!

Casual ambience. Place for family or to grab a quick bite to eat. Food was made fresh and quick. This place is always busy. Great customer service. Affordable prices.

Really solid hand pulled noodles. The food here is pretty excellent, especially since there are other good hand pulled noodle spots in the area. The space itself is really great and in a good location. Would rec during this cold weather!

This is a solid noodle house. As you can see from other reviews, it is not for everyone. If you came here to get wings, you are in the wrong place. But if you came here for fresh pulled Chinese noodles, then this is a great spot for you. My go to is the Beef Combo Dry - Mixed with a Stewed Egg. Trust me, you can not go wrong with this one.

I was surprised with how quick and simple service was, as well as the food! I ordered on the kiosk, sat down, and got my food maybe within five minutes. Note that if you order the hand pulled noodle soups spicy, they will just tell you to add the chili oil yourself. The beef brisket was so tender and juicy; it was so tasty. Noodles were a good combo with the beef. I thought the veggies that came with the soup were okay. Broth was fine too but adding the chili oil made it tastier. Overall quick and simple place with chill and casual vibes. Would come again if craving the noodles and in the area.

Great meal at a reasonable price. Thu's is a fast casual dinning place that makes your noodles on demand. Order on the kiosk and they bring the food to your table. Friendly service a delicious meal.

The food was so good I forgot that camera eats first. They came out with our food super quickly and nice and hot. Me and my friend both dug into our dishes and we loved how tasty it was. They have soy sauce, vinegar, and chili oil on the table to add separately. I loved adding the chili oil which added that extra kick I enjoy and to my liking. The chili oil and soy sauce also paired well with the steamed vegetable buns. I wish they had small little bowls/plates we can pour the soy sauce into for convenience of dipping into for the buns, but it wasn't too big of an issue. We went around 6PM on a Sunday evening and every table was packed. I noticed a lot of people decide to take takeout too. It's located in a nice complex where you can walk around the lake and check out other shops/dessert places/movies/etc. This place is definitely worth trying if you're in the area!

Very mid. Even if I didn't know what Lanzhou la mian was, the taste was forgettable, and I will not be eating here again. I walked in seeing the iconic metal noodle-making table and looked forward to a taste of my childhood. To my immense disappointment, I heard no thwacks from the table over my visit, and the noodles did not taste like lanzhou la mian or even like your standard niu rou mian. On top of that, i ordered the thick and spicy beef brisket noodles and got whatever the picture below was. Not brisket, and them noods were what I would have thought the standard thickness would have been. It tasted exactly how it looks: boring, bland, and without any spicy kick. I poured a little bit of vinegar into the broth and somehow it made it taste like a lukewarm liang mian. The popcorn chicken wasn't bad - tasted like Taiwanese popcorn chicken and was tender. It was the only saving grace from my visit.

So addicting I'm glad I took the time to try out these pork wontons. They were spicy salty vinegary and delicious and just under $10 this is a quick bite if you're ever at the new Washingtonian Rio. I used to live around here and seeing more restaurants and shops there is really amazing

After my brother raved about this place, I've been back several times already in 2024. The surprise dish for me is their xiao long bao (pork soup dumplings). It's priced at $9.99, and you get six very good soup dumplings - I think they are the best in the area, better than Bob's or Shanghai Taste. The skin is so thin and is filled with lots of soup. Their beef noodle is soup is pretty good though I wish the broth is served a little warmer. I like the knife cut noodles the best. They give you tons of meat and veggies in the soup. One soup is enough to feed two adults. My daughter enjoyed the roast pork bun, almost as good as China Garden one. They have a decent size dining room, but it does get packed so get their early or you will have to wait.

When the noodle craving calls, Lanzhou is ready! Enjoyed the simplicity of the digital ordering system - getting our food was simple and the wait wasn't bad. Plenty of seating for small groups - larger ones might be a problem, but not impossible. We both ordered vegetarian dishes - mine the soup and his the dry noodles. Both amazing. Love the umami and balance of flavors. We really don't come here enough!

I loved the food! You can order food online or through their kiosk. I have walked by a million times and it's always packed. We arrived just before the lunch rush. I had the combo beef noodle with ox tail, beef and tendons. The broth was so clean and flavorful. I would like to note that I don't normally like Chinese beef noodle soup but since the noodles are homemade I wanted to try it. I'm very happy I did! The pork soup dumplings and shrimp dumplings were fresh and came out really quickly. The table near us had the buffalo wings and said it was delicious. I will definitely come back. Edit: I came back for the wings. By far the best I have ever had. Reminded me of Korean wings (Gam pong gi) but crispier and more flavor, not too spicy. Loved the beef brisket stir fry. More like short ribs with chewy tendons and tender pieces mixed. I will definitely keep coming back!

All was good you won't regret any dish from their menu, space is kind of small but the space is not why you got there.

They have a lunch AYCE small plate and dim sum special. It includes a lot of my favorite dishes like the spicy dry fried bamboo fish, crystal shrimp dumplings, shumai, and black sesame egg yolk bao. Along with this, they also offer drink specials. For dinner we always get the bubble pancake, the spicy fish, a veggie, and scallion fried rice. They also offer peking duck specials around Lunar New Year. When we don't feel like leaving the house, we order in. It travels pretty well too!

I had hubby go inside to check on the wait, and fortunately, there were still two tables available. They offer an AYCE dim sum menu, but we decided to order from the regular menu instead. We ordered the following: * Half Peking Duck * Combo Lo Mein * Mama's Basil Eggplant * Osmanthus Honey Pork Ribs * Salt & Pepper Crunch Shrimp * Lemoncello Crispy Chicken Food: My favorite dish was, of course, their renowned Peking duck! Peter Chang's duck has been recognized as a James Beard Awards finalist. If you're a fan of Peking duck, this is a must-try. This was my parents' first visit, and my mother appreciated that the food wasn't too salty. The Combo Lo Mein was listed as containing shrimp, chicken, and beef, but I barely saw any chicken or beef. It was mostly noodles, which was disappointing. Service: Our server was friendly, but I wish he had checked on us more frequently. At one point, I had to ask another server to flag him down because we had two requests. On the positive side, I appreciated that he brought us extra napkins without being asked. Value: Given the portions of the tapas and small plates, I thought the prices were a bit steep. At other Chinese restaurants, you could get a full-sized entrée for close to the same price. Final Thoughts: Appetizing dishes, friendly service, and a great option for Peking duck lovers, albeit a bit pricey for the portions. Overall, we enjoyed our visit!

The appetizers rock, and I would go back just for the appetizers. The noodles are not plated out like the menu, just a bowl of noodle with stuff in it. I chose the classic. Don't let yourself get fooled by the slightly random /…read morenonsensical name (even the Chinese name makes no sense to me -- what on earth does "no second / two house / family" mean?); B2J Fish Soup is home to one some of the best authentic Chinese food in the DMV. As the name implies, they specialize in fish soup, particularly a hot and sour pickled fish soup (suan cai yu) that originates from Sichuan. This dish was one of my childhood favorites, and B2J did an incredible job crafting a deeply flavorful soup that transported me right back to my family's kitchen. The soup is served in the largest bowls I've ever seen and absolutely loaded with pickled veggies and tender, flaky fish that completely soaks up all the spicy and sour flavor. I appreciate that the soup isn't overly spicy or salty, so it's possible to drink the actual soup instead of just fishing out its fillings, and it goes great with the side of white rice. Their meal combo options also come with several appetizers of choice so, in addition to the delightful suan cai yu, we also got the fried milk custard and wood ear mushroom salad. The salad was super refreshing, with a great crunch from the wood ear mushrooms and red onions. The dressing was mostly vinegar and chili-based, so it was sour, spicy, salty, and slightly sweet. It was a delightful precursor to the spicy and sour fish soup, and the leftovers also kept incredibly well over the next couple of days. The fried milk custard was a great appetizer but made an even better dessert; the milk was gooey and melty, and the fried outer shell was perfectly crispy. It was such a delightful combination of flavors and not overly sweet. This hidden gem is quite quaint, but they managed to fit a decent amount of seating inside, with several long tables lining each side of the restaurant and a narrow aisle in between. The seats are comfy and, while the tables are quite close together, there's still enough space to feel like you have a bit of privacy / separation from the other diners. I love the little bamboo light fixtures, and one of their back walls has a little semi-circle design that looks like fish scales, adding to the fun, fish-themed ambiance.

We loved the classic flavor- just enough spicy ( plenty enough for me), to make it not overwhelm the fish and still has a good kick. We did try their spicier one - that was too much spicy in our opinion, but the level of spiciness is a personal preference. Their non- spicy tomato base is also very good! The fish itself- not fishy at all. Very fresh, goes very well with the soup. The sauerkraut is very flavorful and enhances the experience well, not overpowering anything. It all goes in harmony to creat a great experience! Loved their cold spicy chicken as an appetizer and the cucumber salad with peanuts were very well received. And one more thing - their rice - is SO good! Yeah, odd thing to specifically mention rice of any Asian restaurant- this is my first as well! But their rice was just that good!
