For $186.00 beekman came out and replaced fuse, diagnosed what was wrong with my lights and fixed those switches as well! I had received quotes up to 3k!! From Mr electric company...smdh! Honestly I really wish I could've gone somewhere else, but I'd already paid a deposit on their work not knowing that Ecoflow just contracted about any old Electrician, I guess.. Anyways, contacted veteran electric as I'm a veteran as well so of course I will give them business before some random company. I was highly impressed by the work they did I watched them work very quickly and at a very reasonable price. I will be recommending them to my friends, family, and my customers as well. Safe Air Houston, Salesman Duane are a Godsend let me tell you. I had to replace a brand new, 14…read moremonth old Carrier 2-ton AC for my 2100 square foot home due to the unit being too small and in the heat of the day, set for 75 was every bit of 80 until 11pm before it cooled down again. The unit never cycled off and ran 20 hours a day, leaving me huge energy bills. I needed a 4-ton AC, my cheap builder didn't think so!! I entertained several estimates from well known AC companies and not so well known such as Safe Air Houston. Everyone was $12K-$20K and doing their best to up sale me. Not Safe Air Houston, they gave a military discount and their price was...lets just say lower than $10K. They did not try to up sale me at all. Duane's installation time were fast, efficient and professional. They covered the area with blankets and cleaned up their mess. They were in and out in a little over 4 hours. Now I can actually hear and feel the cold pleasant air blowing. I've been here 14 months and have never heard the air blow. In the heat of the day, the temp in the house is 73 and the unit is cycling off!! I would have never fathomed 73 was possible when outside Houston temp is 104!! We can walk around our home now and not have damp foreheads, we can turn on the oven during the day and not regret it, and I'm sure this next energy bill is going to start to decline thanks to Safe Air.

I have used Nextdoor Electric once for actual work and also obtained three quotes from them. My…read moreusual electrical company, Blue Electrical Contractors, was super busy so I decided to try Nextdoor based on their Yelp reviews. I had them take down an old outdoor ceiling fan from my back porch and install two new ceiling lights: one in the same spot as the ceiling fan and the other over the seating area to provide more light (see photo). The job cost $572 which I thought was a little bit high, but I wanted the work done. Two big issues with the job: First of all, the technician didn't install the round ceiling light insulation discs in each fixture (see photo) which is to my understanding required to meet Underwriters Laboratory requirements. (The insulation is used to reflect heat from incandescent bulbs.) He also cracked one of the plastic conduit hangers so that it was actually broke. I found the insulation thrown in the garbage and had to dig them back out and have the technician come back to put them in and replace the broken hanger. Also, wasn't really keen on the fact that he used plastic hangers vs. metal to hang the conduit. Another issue was that I wanted a multi-outlet switch in my garage changed out to a standard outlet; see photo. Nextdoor quoted me $187 to change it out. Caido, from Blue Electrical Contractors stopped by and I had him look at it. It was only a cover; Caido unscrewed one screw and the regular outlet was underneath. I could have done it had I known this. It took Caid 5 seconds to take the multi-outlet cover off and he didn't charge me a thing. Okay. This is ridiculous! $187??!! This shows me the technician from Nextdoor Electric didn't even know what he was quoting. I was speaking to Caido from Blue Electric about Nextdoor and how I will never use them again, but can't understand their great reviews. Caido was telling me that Nextdoor's reviews could be fake and/or purchased. I really am questioning these reviews. I will never have them do any work for me again. Go with Blue Electric the next time you need electrical work; I have used them for years.
