This is how we ended up at Secret Garden Korean Fusion Buffet & Grill. I'd been wanting to try this place for quite awhile anyways, so...really glad ended up coming here instead. If you're Vegetarian, this is probably not a good place for you to come. If you're Pescatarian however, then there's still plenty of food for you to eat. Thankfully, I am the latter; so even though I couldn't eat any of the meats like chicken, pork or beef...there was still lots of food for me to eat and I walked out very, very, very full! We were impressed with the selection here. So much variety. Off the top of my head: Seafood pancake, Kimchi pancake, Japchae, Vegetable Fried Rice, Kimchi Fried Rice, Kimbap, Deep fried Squid, Takoyaki, Tuna Mayo Inari, Vegetable Fritters, Tofu, Fish Katsu, Fried Flounder, Kimchi, Takoyaki, Potato, and Pickled Radish are just a few of the items I piled on to my plate. There was drink dispenser that had some kind of Cinnamon ginger drink in it. I took that as my beverage. It had a very nice flavor but very sweet so I would recommend filling your glass about halfway, and then pouring in plain water to fill the second half of the glass. My favorite part was dessert. They have a machine that dispenses Korean Bingsu! There's other stuff too like fruit, cookies, cake squares and ice cream. All I wanted though was the Bingsu. The machine has instructions for how to turn it on and dispense the shaved ice. To the left of the machine are a few toppings for the shaved ice. Not a lot of toppings, but you really don't need much. They offer shreddies, red bean, chocolate syrup, condensed milk and strawberry jam for the toppings. Such a yummy and refreshing way to end the meal!

We didn't realize this, but it was 2pm when we got there. As is the norm, we went immediately to the buffet and loaded up our first round (you know, the "little bit of everything" plate) and then, as we were getting up to go for seconds, we were told that the buffet would be closing soon (15 minute warning) so of course we got our seconds (aka, the "I know what I want" plate). We also took advantage of the warning and grabbed our desserts early from the well-lit dessert bar! Hello gulab jamun! The restaurant was buzzing the entire time we were then, even when it was about to close between services. The staff kept checking in on us, making it feel like a full service restaurant, and not just a buffet. Love this place!

Not sure if it's under new ownership now or what but the experience was awful. Just wanted to get some food to go and was filling my bowl with ingredients and the guy was watching me like a hawk. He then tried accusing me of pushing the food down into the bowl and said there would be an additional $10 charge if it needs a second container. I wasn't worried about that because I have gone there many times before and stacked my bowl much higher than it was. But then when he went to put the food in the container which already was 1/3 full of rice that I didn't even want he didn't even fill it up all the way and put the smallest amount in a second container and said I need to pay $10 for the second container of food. I was so in disbelief that all I wanted to do was get a refund and go somewhere else but I decided to just take the one initial container that wasn't even full that I paid $20 for and just leave. I did try to have a talk with the guy and explain that the container was not even full and that I never asked for rice but he started getting really aggressive and yelling. Not sure how much longer this place will last with the way they are treating their customers

The interior was nice and modern. Comfy chairs, sleek tables and I got to choose a bigger table with a lazy Susan in the middle. A couple of staff members were quick to help us with teas or anything else we needed. We chose the Yang Chow Fried Rice which came in a very unique pyramid configuration. We also ordered eggplant, har gow, sui mai and BBQ pork buns. All were pretty standard, with my only disappointment being the BBQ pork buns. I'm not sure what happened with the steamer or the steaming process, but 2/3 buns in the bamboo container came out looking good and fluffy, but the third came out looking and feeling quite soggy. Good solid choice for Dim Sum if you are in South Surrey. I'd be interested in trying their dinner dishes in the near future.

It's a cozy joint without the excessiveness of a traditional Indian ornaments and what have you. In fact, it's quite bright, and spacious, about a 30 seater or so. Apparently they have good lunch specials. TV & good sound system. Clean washrooms too. accept credit/debit. friendly service.

The venue is quite large, and it was packed. There is also a covered N facing patio, which I am sure is nice in the summer evenings. The interior decor is definitely on the fancier side. Staff were scrambling all over. Place sure was busy. The selection is definitely quite remarkable. There are dozens of curries (most I've seen anywhere), and stations for salad, meat, and dessert. The lineups are honestly a bit chaotic, and some lines moved much faster than others for some reason. The trick is to pace oneself and hit each station individually. Also helps to carry 2 plates. Food quality was honestly average. It is a buffet after all. With that said, I definitely got my fill. Be sure to leave some room at the end for ice cream. The place is definitely worth trying once for the experience.

I am writing to express my disappointment and concern regarding the experience my coworker and I…read morehad at your restaurant today. My coworker and I have been regular customers for almost a year because we genuinely enjoyed the food and the overall experience. Unfortunately, our visit today was extremely upsetting because of the way we were treated by the manager, Ms. Yang (possibly Rihanna Yang). During our visit, there was a misunderstanding regarding our order. A chicken dish was brought to our table, but we had not ordered it. I immediately explained that we did not order this dish and that I do not eat chicken due to an allergy/preference. We had ordered a fish dish instead. Instead of calmly checking the order or trying to resolve the misunderstanding, Ms. Yang repeatedly insisted, in a very loud voice in front of other customers, that we had ordered the chicken dish and that we had to eat it. She continued saying that we had to accept the dish and pay for it, even after I explained multiple times that we did not order it. The situation became very uncomfortable and embarrassing. Other customers were watching as she raised her voice at us. I politely asked her several times to please calm down and not speak to us in that manner, but she continued insisting and arguing. I even confirmed with my assistant, who was sitting with me, that neither of us had ordered the chicken dish, and she also confirmed that she had not heard us order it. A professional way to handle this situation would have been to apologize for the misunderstanding, check the order, and offer a solution. Instead, we felt pressured and disrespected. By the end of the interaction, I had completely lost my appetite and could no longer enjoy the food we had ordered. After asking her to remove the dish, she eventually took it away but told us that we were no longer welcome at the restaurant. After being loyal customers for almost a year, I found this response extremely disappointing and unacceptable. I understand that mistakes can happen in restaurants, but the way a situation is handled is what defines good customer service. Unfortunately, the way this matter was handled was unprofessional, embarrassing, and made us feel unwelcome. I hope this feedback is taken seriously and that appropriate steps are taken to ensure customers are treated with respect and professionalism in the future.
