Came here twice last year with my daughter and had an appointment with Kelsea. They had a "glitch"…read morein their system and I recalled having to wait 30 minutes where I was actually late for a brunch date with my girlfriends, which was not a huge deal at the time because Kelsea was very friendly and I liked how she took the time with her clients. Fast forward to today, scheduled an appointment online yesterday for 11am and according to her online availability, she was fully opened all morning. Drove all the way from Monrovia to Yorba Linda and walked in at 10:55am and was told due to a glitch in the system, was told she was behind and asked if I could come back at 12:30pm because she had two other clients ahead of me. A 10-30 mins wait, I would've understood, but an 1.5 hours wait WITH an appointment is straight up unacceptable and the fact that I had both an email AND phone number on file but they failed to provide me with a call was very unprofessional. She asked if I wanted to wait and I obviously couldn't due to the fact that I needed to bring my daughter to her volleyball game in an hour and for her to act surprised I asked to cancel instead of rescheduling is a joke to me. The most outrageous thing was when I looked up behind Kelsea and saw an older, short "hair stylist"looking at me with this smirk on her face. Was it funny that the lack of respect of their customers' time humorous to her? I haven't checked out other reviews yet but since this is the THIRD time from personal experience that they blame overbooking due to a "system glitch" in 12 months, I am starting to think this is possibly how they run their business. I hate having to leave negative reviews for businesses but they've definitely earned the worst experience I've ever had.

I booked Drybar for my blowout n' styling (big mistake ) and BlowOut Parlor for makeup. I got my hair done that morning and specifically mentioned that my hair does NOT hold curls well. I was hoping they'd at least last long enough to give beach wave vibes for my evening photoshoot... nope. Not even two hours later, all the curls had completely fallen out and my hair was straight. Thank God for BlowOut Parlor. I had my makeup appointment about an hour before the shoot, and while I was there I vented about my hair disaster. Even though the salon was PACKED -- every chair occupied and every stylist busy -- they were so understanding and somehow found the time to fix my hair. Completely saved the day and my maternity photos. This week, I went back in for a little self-care and once again they did not disappoint. Carolina really listened to my concerns and made me feeling like a brand new person walking out of there. I would highly recommend her, especially for special occasions!

This fact alone says that I don't really have anything to compare it to, other than similar types of businesses. First off, the location is on a busy street with very little parking so plan on getting there early to make arrangements if needed. There are spots behind the building but there are only a couple of spots shared between several shops, and they're all clearly labeled as either 30 or 60 min max, so I'm not sure how you're supposed to plan for a 90-min service. The last thing you want to be worrying about is getting a parking ticket during your special "me time." When I got to the door a few minutes early, there was no one there and it was locked. They were only like 5-10 min late and gave us our full time but it was a little odd knocking on the door. As we were getting situated in our rooms there was one lady trying to run back and forth telling us what to do and complete our initial consultations, so maybe someone was late to work that day? It was giving 90s Disney movie vibes where one person was trying to attend two events at the same time without anyone noticing. As a result, I'm not sure I was ever really aligned properly on the massage chair and it kept digging into my neck? It was very sore the next day, and not in the "I just had a massage vibe." The chair latched you in at the arms and legs so she kept telling me to slide up and down, presumably to align my head with the water? I just feel like I never quite had it right. A second technician arrived eventually and we continued on with the services, which were fun and interesting, and different. I loved seeing my scalp up close in their little microscope/camera. My hair came out super shiny and soft and I would try this again, but probably not on the regular. After the treatment we enjoyed tea and some sort of cracker/chip to go with it in the lobby, who can was a perfect end to our afternoon. This was an okay experience.

I had been trying to find a salon where I felt comfortable trusting someone with both my color and haircut, and after checking 7 different places, I finally ended up here -- and I'm SO glad I did! From the very beginning, the customer service stood out. Liz was at the front when I first walked in. They didn't have anyone available to take me at that moment, but she was so kind and let me know she could do my haircut Saturday at 12 PM. I later checked availability online and booked an appointment with Michelle for Friday at 4:30 PM. Michelle reached out to me almost immediately and explained that her latest appointment was actually at 3 PM. Instead of simply turning me away, she offered to check with the team to see who could accommodate my schedule. She came back and found Jenny available Friday at 4:30 PM. THAT kind of teamwork and communication already made such a great impression on me. Then Jenny reached out before my appointment and asked what I had in mind and whether I had any inspiration pictures. I told her I was looking for a color correction and haircut, and from the moment I walked in, she made me feel completely comfortable. Jenny was welcoming, easy to talk to, and very natural. She took the time to understand what I wanted, guided me through everything, and made sure I felt comfortable speaking up about my preferences or any changes I wanted along the way. And then came the unexpected bonus... while washing my hair, Jenny gave me a head, temple, and scalp massage. ‍ Between the color service, the haircut, the massage, and just the overall experience, I felt like I got so much more than I expected. She did my color exactly how I envisioned it, gave me the haircut I wanted, and finished everything with a beautiful blowout. I left feeling AMAZING. What really impressed me was that the team was responsive, accommodating, honest about pricing, and genuinely listened to what I wanted and needed. That is hard to find! I'm already planning to bring my mom and my daughter here for their haircuts. And if you can book with Jenny -- DO IT! She is absolutely wonderful.
