Here's the 411 on LB... They make very nice/visually appealing undergarments. Sizing can be tricky! I currently am wearing 3 different sizes of different style bras! This store's staff is 75% of the time helpful, kind and happy to assist. The other 25% of the time, it's like they would rather be anywhere but there working. The quality of their clothing has gone down hill and not just a little...I mean, we have gone from jeans that would last me for years to "I think I could get the same quality at Walmart!" bad. Their corporate customer service is an absolute joke. If you have ever dealt with these script-reading-couldn't-care-less-about-the-customer fools, you know what I'm talking about. Bottom line, it's hard to find clothes that fit just right or lay just perfectly for a plus size woman and Lane Bryant used to fulfill the need in this industry that was severely lacking but much like other industries, I imagine, the cost of materials has increased, so they find ways to cut back and at the cost of customers, no less. I don't care what anyone says: you cannot buy clothes online! At least I can't. So if it's the convenience of online shopping that has affected this retailer or not, quality of the clothing and customer service is top on my list. Price is what it is. Lose the coupons, get your shit together and get back to the basics! I'm waiting but my patience is running out. read more

So after I went to the Lane Bryant store in Geneva Commons and got the worst service ever. I was talking to my friend about what happened to me at the Geneva Commons locations and my friend who lives closer to this area and who shops at this particular location told me to give this location a try. So I am a average size girl (6-8) who just has a very large chest and I was having the worst time finding a bra that fit that did not feel or look like it belonged on my 95 year old grandma. I am not the typical Lane Bryant customer but I had heard good things about their bras for above sized chested women. So needless to say my first Lane Bryant experience in Geneva was just bad. So my friend and I went looking. I did get a bit of an education on their bras, one of the things I learned is the cups of Lane Bryant bras are cut just a bit fuller which for me was good because some of the bras at other department stores the cups just seemed just a hair small. Good -Wow for large chested girls they have a really good selection. The only thing while they did have 36 size bands they did not have many of them. Most of their bras start at a 38 which was a little bummer. -With that being said if they don't carry your size they can order you a bra and have it shipped to your house for free! They said it takes 4-8 days which isn't bad -The store here is large it not crowded feeling -I didn't buy any of the clothes but they seem to have a lot of cute items and accessories. And prices seem reasonable. -The ladies who worked there did know their merchandise Bad-maybe not bad but disappointing -They seemed understaffed? I was looking around quite a while for someone to help me or answer questions. -A lot of the bra bins were empty so not finding someone to help you was a nuisance -They never seemed really friendly. Helpful but a little aloof. Just helpful enough without being accused of being rude. -Never really asked me what bra I needed like what type of support I was looking for-they initially just threw me to their most popular bra which ended up being the worst bra I have ever tried on it made my chest looked deformed. Then I kind of put my foot down and I told the woman what I was looking for as I did not want to waste any more time than I already had. -I wish they had more 36 bands in stock as like to try everything on esp. bras I did end up getting some nice bras and was able to try a few on. This Lane Bryant is a "Double Platinum" Lane Bryant....so they say... I guess what this means is that they have both the Cacique (lingerie) and Lane Bryant (clothing) and that they get more of a wide variety selection (shoes, Spanx, swimwear, etc) I am writing about my experience with their wonderful staff. I have had bad experiences with other LB staff at other stores. I had an event to go to on 4/30 and had a dress that was slightly too small. I called this particular LB in a panic and asked a ton of questions about theirm Spanx products. I spoke with Courtney. Waht a doll. She had expertise and was a great asset to this store. She gave me her opinion and helped me as much as she could. I ended up not being able to fit into the dress, but the help that she gave me re-affirmed why this is my go-to LB. read more

6/2021 First time here for my wife. Loved the environment and size of the store. Very well laid out. Sale they had was quite nice. Staff are super friendly and helpful, but not pushy. They were genuine. Especially enjoyed Yede. She was amazing! Help me out a few times and assisted my wife in all her needs all the way thru checking out. Great experience and we will be back. I love shopping at this store because the staff is so friendly, helpful and honest when you ask their opinion. The cacique section is huge. Granted LB is expensive and the quality seems to have dipped some but my review is focused on the store and staff. Very thankful they are located close and in a great area. read more

I live much closer to the Oak Brook location, but I prefer this one so much more! The store is huge, nicely spread out, and very well organized. The ladies over at Oak Brook haven't been so nice to me lately. I've had questions about about sales/coupons/etc., and they just get pissy that I'm there trying to save a little money. So, their loss. I walk out without making any sort of purchase at all. The ladies at the Hoffman Estates location have been super friendly, answering all of my questions with a smile, and not over-the-top I-must-make-a-sale in any kind of way. read more

Wow seriously the best service I have ever had! I've been shopping at lane bryant stores for bras since I was in high school. I was greeted by a lady named Georgeann/Georgeina? and she helped me the whole time I was there! I was in need of new bras so I started talking about some of the issues I was having with my old ones just thinking they were stretched out and worn down. She told me straight off the bat that I was wearing the wrong size. I know this is common but I didn't think I was that far off only cause I was measured 2 yrs ago and I didn't think I had changed too much. She suggested we try to go down in band size and up in the cup size this is because I have a smaller back and larger breasts. I tried a size up and she asked if she could see the bra while I was in the fitting room so that she could see how it fit. I felt very comfortable with her so I agreed. She told me the band size was good but to try the next 2 sizes up in cup sizes. So she went and grabbed them for me in a few different styles. Once I found the one that I thought was the best she again checked it out and said it was prefect. She said for me not to hurry and to move around, sit down, put a shirt on over it, etc... to make sure it was good. She was very knowledgeable and helpful. I didn't have to leave the fitting room once, she ran and got me at least 10 different bras to try on, went from wearing a 40DDD to a 38H. Only bad news about this is if you are a F cup or bigger the price goes up about $10 a bra. I would rather pay the extra money for better support and less pain though. Since I was in such a different size I figured I needed to get rid of the others and start over on my bra wardrobe. I was told that 6 is the ideal number but you can always build it up slowly. I planned on only getting 2 bras cause of the sale they were having (bogo 50% off) but I also had a coupon ($50 off of $150) and once I found something that fit so well I ended up getting 4 all together. 2 regular balconette, a lace front balconette, and a french full coverage. They did have a somewhat limited selection on my size, but I was able to get 2 more plain colors as well as a lacy one and a leopard print one. I loved them so much I went online the next day to see what other bras they had in my size and bought 2 more a multi-way strap bra, and smooth boost demi bra. I have been going to LB for 4+ years now for bras as I am large chested, with an athletic build and have not been able to find products anywhere that work as well as LB bras did. I was very sad when the cotton balconette bra line was discontinued as I had felt I had found "my bra". In attempts to figure out which bra would work for me with the change, I've been struggling for months to find one; I've ordered online and tried at home as I find that it's not guaranteed my size is in the store in Hoffman Estates. The last order I placed was a bit ridiculous (and I will fully admit this). It was probably 30 or so bras that I had delivered to the store. I had no time to go into the store and shop or try on bras (between weddings, work, and life), so shopping online allowed me to do it in my free time with the hopes of trying on different sizes and styles at home at my convenience. I have never felt so judged or talked down to than when I picked up my order from the Hoffman Estates store. I was belittled for not coming into the store to shop and try stuff on, I was talked down to for trying multiple sizes and colors in different styles, and basically made to feel like shit. I didn't realize my shopping experience had to be catered to an employee's ideals. After a few weeks of slowly trying on the bras when I had the time, I finally found a few that worked, and went to return the rest. Again, I was judged, talked down to, and near tears and left as soon as the return was done. Both employees working were rude and inconsiderate. I cannot explain to someone why my life is busy and I don't have the time to come in and try on bras at this particular time of the year, and why ordering a whole bunch and doing it at home worked for me. Between this experience, and searching for a bra that works for me again, I am considering canceling my LB credit card, and not being a patron of the store/chain again. This is not the first time that I have had trouble with orders from Lane Bryant. Their clothes are decent and last relatively long. However, I have recently changed addresses. Before I even placed my order, I updated my profile with the billing and shipping address of the new address. I went through and ordered what I wanted and verified that it had my new address in the order confirmation. I just received the shipment confirmation yesterday and noticed that they are sending it to my old address. I tried to speak with customer service online through chat and over the phone. They cannot do anything unless the shipment is refused or returned to the warehouse. Once it is returned, then I can get my money back and go through the entire process of reordering my entire order. If I would like, I could reorder my entire shipment again through the website and have them send it to me in the meantime. First, why would I want to go through the website again, where it had the correct information when I checked out but not for the shipping address. I have asked the question about what if the person that is living at my old address doesn't send it back and basically been told that I am sh** out of luck on that. It has to be returned to get my money back. Let's not mention that they will not resend my merchandise over the phone in the meantime or even reroute the shipment. I worked in shipping for over 15 years and just recently and I know that you may reroute a shipment in the middle of transit. However, this company refuses to fix their issue. I guess I am out the over $300 that I have just spent - because apparently I will not get the merchandise or the money back on this order. I will never order from this company again, this was the straw that broke the camel's back. read more
