Um...favorite store in the world…read more I'm almost anxious to give this such a good rating because I want to keep it a secret! Their slogan is true, it is the best kept secret in the Twin Cities! So this place isn't your typical consignment store. There's so many around the area that that market is saturated and boring. No, this is a store for high end clothing that is slightly imperfect. This could mean a makeup stain from someone who tried it on in the store, a small fabric tear, a broken zipper, or a snag in the material. The imperfections range in size and severity. These clothes have never been owned--the luxury brand tags are always still attached! Annex gets shipments in 6 week cycles. The first few weeks are full price ($15-$25...still dirt cheap for high quality brands!) and the clothes that usually go during this time are the nice brands with very small imperfections. Next, the store marks ALL clothes down to $10 for a few weeks. Then to $5 for about a week. Then......$3 for two days!!! I pretty much only go during the $3 days because I love to hunt for the last treasures standing. I get the best deals here. Michael Kors, Free People, and Loft are a few of my favorite brands I get here for dirt cheap. You do have to be willing to either stitch up an imperfection or live with a slightly impaired product, but if perfection isn't a requirement for you, you have to check this place out! They have awesome bags and shoes too, but these don't go on sale typically. Shoes range from $5-$25--some have no visible imperfections, but stay away from ones with broken straps or other things not worth trying to fix. Bags usually have a little black mark or something easy to look past, and they sell great bag brands like Michael Kors and Cole Haan. I cannot emphasize enough how much I love this place. All my friends know when I wear something new that I got it for $3 at Annex. If you're willing to fix a small imperfection or look past it, this is the place for you! Happy hunting :)

Everything is at least 80% off retail. All of the items are damaged in some way (hole, rip, makeup stain, broken zipper, etc). They conveniently attach a tag that describes the damage, as well as where it's located. Personally, I haven't had luck here, but I friend of mine is in love with this place. She frequently finds dresses that are as low as $3 and simply need the zipper replaced. If only I had that kind of time and skill! Again, if you have the time and the ability to mend clothing, you'll have a heck of a time shopping here.

Extraordinarily expensive clothing store doing dress shirts and suits and whatnot. They make custom orders and they seem extraordinarily friendly as well. I guess they have to be when they're charging these insane amounts for stuff. What I do recommend is that you browse in here yourself and see some of the stuff they have, because if you like fancy clothes and suits and you have an unlimited supply of money you'll probably really like this store - and it's probably one of the best three stores selling upscale suits and men's clothing in the massive gargantuan Mall of America. Even more impressive was that these men looked excited when they talked about the denim, fabric, colors, textures, and cuts of different apparel! I had only worn the jacket about 3 times because I had just moved from Southern California. When I originally purchased the jacket two weeks prior it was 20% off, the jacket was now 40% off. When I asked if I could completely return the jacket and re buy it so I could get the extra discount I was told no. Not only was I told no but the reasoning was because I may have destroyed the jacket on PURPOSE to get a discount. Come to find out, this woman is one of the store managers. Her name is Madeline, according to my receipt. I am baffled that this is how customers are treated, as the store where I typically shop in California is full of a bunch of wonderful employees. Out of curiosity, I drove over to the Edina store to see if this was typical protocol for Madewell stores in this area. I had a very pleasant experience there and will continue to do all my Madewell shopping at the Edina location. I had a really nice woman by the name of Ariana help me out. She was extremely helpful and very sweet! The Bloomington store could have had another loyal customer had they not accused me of purposely destroying a product. If you want people to spend money at your store it's best to treat them with respect!

One of the dear associates brought her a water and she was good to go and I could stay and shop. They always help with colors and sizes and feel welcome every time I visit. Small store but prices are great and you do not have to drive all the way to Eagan or Albertville Premium Outlets to get the heavy and always consistent 50% tag prices. Their google maps/google search hours are off from the store front sticker "hours of operation".. frustrating but you can always call to make sure they are open late. They accept Apple Pay and Android Pay!

Many hours of searching narrowed it down to an Eileen Fisher coat that had a nice slim line. It was on sale...and not available online or at any stores West of the Mississippi in my size. Customer Service put me in touch with this location. Beata could not have been more helpful when I called. She took the time to make sure I was getting exactly what I wanted, and would ship it the next day. Despite a huge snow storm in the Midwest, it arrived on the day she had arranged. It fit perfectly, and did not make this buxom blonde look like a stuffed animal. LOVE!
