Our unit 206 was a perfect for our couples trip. It would also be very ideal for families and/or friends. We had a 3 bedroom 3.5 bathroom unit. Each bedroom had its own full bathroom which was perfect! There was even a half bath on the main floor by the kitchen. One bedroom had bunk beds, while another had a queen bed and the last room had a king size bed. The decor was updated and the kitchen was very nice with built in dishwasher and refrigerator. They even had a Wolf oven. The kitchen was totally stocked with all items anyone could want- cutlery, plates, silverware, cups, cooking supplies, etc. The patio wasn't overlooking the main mountain but that was fine because we didn't spend much time in the room. The patio did have a grill and small table. The unit also had a nice workstation with computer monitor, printer and webcam. This would be great if you were able to work remote. The downstairs floors even seemed to be heated. The pool and 3 hot tubs were a nice addition. Parking was free and the location was walkable to the slopes. The lobby didn't have coffee ready until about 9am everyday but that was the only downfall. The lobby was clean with games and a nice fire. An absolutely perfect stay. The views could not be more incredible. Each condo is unique. I stayed in 505 and the view was spectacular, the lodging was lovely, and everything was up-to-date. Our unit 111 was great. Location is amazing. Clean, updated and very comfortable w all amenities. We grilled, used the jacuzzi and heated pool. We were a group of 5 and loved our weekend here. I forgot to take pictures of this place but to be honest, really enjoyed our stay at the landmark. Our company was staying there for the GoPro Mountain games, so we stayed in the summer, but our 3 bedroom unit was comfortable, clean, spacious, and had all the amenities we could have wanted for a condo stay. A few things that were a bit strange. It has a front desk but it closes at like 5:00pm. So if you show up after that, it's a self check-in process. Also, I think these units are individually owned so your experience may vary depending on what type of unit you get. Ours happened to be great. The location is central to everything in vail and we had good parking for our sprinter van. I'd stay here again in a heartbeat. read more

Has to be one of the best condo locations for waking distance to the gondola. Booked about 4 weeks before presidents weekend and it was the best deals around. I booked through vail reservations and it had very little detail regarding what I was getting. When I arrived I was surprised to have two full baths and an extra pullout couch area. Again vail didn't provide those details and we needed that extra space. Queen in the one bedroom with full bath. Pullout couch in a nook next to the second full bath. Kitchen and dinning room table with L shaped couch that was also a pullout. Gas fireplace was need because we had the corner unit that needed extra heat. They provided two space heaters and radiant wall heaters that were not my favorite. Balcony had a grill which we used. In the morning we walked to the ski rental place and picked up our skis and then walked to the gondola. I would store your skis and boots at Vail sports near gondola because going up the steps to the condo would not be fun. The condo does offer storage but I just want to get my boots off ASAP. Three hot tubs and outdoor pool we used most days. Two negatives to our stay: 1. one night we didn't have hot water after a long day of skiing. I guess boiler was broke. 2. They cleaned our room sometime after 4pm on Sunday, when we were at dinner. Two other nights we cooked in the condo and they had everything we needed. The WiFi was excellent and did watch the local channel 8 every morning to see the ski report. I would stay at this location again and also rent skis from vail sports. WOW! I would have had better service at a Motel 6! I am currently sitting in the lobby of this place waiting close to 9 hours for my room. This has been an absolute nightmare. 1.) I realize that there is a 4pm check-in time; I don't expect any special treatment for arriving early; however, if you tell them that you will forego your mountain view room just to get in to the next available room and they tell you they will call you when the next one is ready, you sit and wait. However, I watched room after room being assigned to people for almost 6 hours. 2.) I went up to the front desk multiple times, over 7-8 times just checking in and asking about the room. Every time I approached the desk, a man named Devin would give me a snarky and condescending comment about waiting a couple more minutes. 3.) After watching other guests complain about things like trash left in their room, clothes in the closet, etc., and a multitude of other issues, I finally reached by boiling point at 5 pm; an hour after my room should have absolutely been reading. "Just a couple more minutes" was all I got. If I would've been told that there was no chance of getting in b before 4pm; that's fine. I would have left and ventured elsewhere. However, to be given the promise of the next room and to watch them be assigned over and over again, is painful with 4 kids hanging out in a lobby. Finally, you would think (at least after having to stare at my face for 7+ hours that you would try and get ANY room clean. Nope. I didn't get into my room until after 6:00pm. There were a lot of ways to right this wrong. Perhaps, I'm sorry? Or maybe, can I get you a coffee? Or, even the truth; look, we just don't have a room for you. But nothing. They made me even more angry by smiling, laughing and walking away like our money is not good enough. Finally, the room I FINALLY got into at 6:20 had keys that didn't work. UGH. The room has a beautiful view. Very outdated, wasn't cleaned properly (sheets and blankets didn't smell clean, two paper towels left on the rack, lol.) All issues with the company, not the landlord. I paid nearly $2,500 for booking a room, via Destination Resorts Vail, at the Landmark hotel (4 nights) . When I arrived, they put us in a much older condo that was a few hundred yards from the lobby of the Landmark. When I called the front desk and spoke to Devon (the night shift manager, who was very rude, condescending and unwilling to help), I was told I booked a mystery room... which allowed the hotel to move us to any room they wanted, based on their availability. After a long and heated debate, I was told I needed to check in to the room (drag 6 suitcases and skis up to the 4th floor, as there is no valet or guest services) and wait until the manager came in the next morning... in order to see about getting a refund and allowing us to move to a different hotel. Please keep in mind this is at 10pm after a long flight with a wife and two small children. Long story short, the hotel found a room in the Landmark hotel building later that night. It was nicer than the first room, but still an older room. The toilet float was stuck, which caused the water to run most of the night... and the mattresses were very uncomfortable and stiff. If you are looking to spend $500-$600 per night for a nice hotel, I suggest you get pictures of the room or book somewhere else. Also, if you like customer service - bellman, concierge, room service , etc. This is not the place for you. read more

Just stayed overnight and it was a very nice condominium. Comfortable sleeping and nice pillows. I'd go again--though when you book its kind of a toss up for which room/condo you'll get which is a bit unsettling. Really the only downfall is the late check-in and the early checkout--it's not very accommodating or convenient. read more

Yes, I'm a definite FAN of "The Landmark" & plan to stay here once again when we return to Vail, CO! We (Family of 4) were in town to ski, hang with friends & ski some more while our kids were on their winter break from school (Also, President's Day Weekend)! Booked everything through a local (to us) travel agent then requested an upgraded room! (Remember that these are CONDOS, so each unit is completely different depending on the owner). We received an upgraded room with an unreal view of the village & slopes! Everything was great! Staff was super polite, all was clean & "The Landmark" sits directly behind the "Arrabelle" in Lionshead Village which added to the cool view! It's walking distance to everything & for us that basically meant: Blue Moose Pizza, the Gondola, Ski Schools, Shopping, Tavern on the Square, the Ice Skating rink, Lionshead Liquor Store & the General Store! AND, thank goodness for the General Store! It had a nice sized selection of grocery items (Bread, Milk, Coffee, Cereal) that kept our refrigerator stocked the entire week! This place was perfect for us! TIP: Be sure to rent ski lockers closer to the Gondola/Ski School! The Landmark offers complementary lockers which were really good to have, BUT the walk from the locker to the lift with equipment (x 4) was a bit tiresome at times! read more

we got a 2 bedroom, 3 bed for 5 people for about $1,100. it had the slopeside view so it was a good deal. the place was great, but not one of the newer ones as were some of the units in the pictures. the furnishings were a little dated but still nice. the parking garage is free for guests. you have to walk about 5 mins to the lift so it's a good distance. it's about a mile from downtown vail but we didn't go out that much so it didn't affect us. the front service was helpful with our needs and they maintain the place well. we haven't stayed anywhere else before so i can't compare but it was a pleasant stay. i would recommend this place. read more

We ended up in Vail for a wedding a few weeks ago. I'm really glad that they recommended Landmark to stay. The condo itself was really nice and extremely spacious for just 2 of us. It was a one bedroom, 2 bathroom place on the second floor. It had been recently updated and was a really pleasant stay. All of the linens were top notch and even the bath products were great. The location was also really nice. We were walking distance to numerous restaurants and one of the main gondolas. The parking was a nice added perk - I'm not sure if it is always included in the winter but for a summer stay is was nice. The only negative was the check-in time. The standard check-in wasn't until 3 PM and check out was pretty early around 10 AM as well. After staying in the condo I realize why it took so long to clean. I would stay there again and just plan my time there accordingly. read more

I've stayed at this property in Lionshead probably 5 or 6 times. We always hope to get in our room earlier than 4 (we have a toddler who needs a nap) and it has never happened - but this time, they did get us in at 3, which worked out well. They upgraded us to a 2 BR unit because it took so long to get our room ready (we were up there at 10). The room wasn't the best one we've had - Master smelled a bit dirty - I feel like the carpet and the comforter could use a good cleaning - but it was well appointed and comfortable. The pool is fantastic and where we spent the majority of our time. Clean and warm - my kids loved it. We will go back - we will be more specific about our room next time. read more

Further more we work very hard all year long and this is the only week of me and my family take together to enjoy and to get into a unit that sold as platinum and with great expectations and see the room that we saw, is very sad. Here is my description of the room: a. Basically a long hallway with a room at the entrance and something that tries to be an open concept living room but that actually is as big as the room itself with no table to sit and eat, and the pictures showed tables. b. There is NO room what so ever to place a crib and and to have both of my kids sleep in there. c. The view is to the parking lot and the rear where the master is, faces the street. It was on the first floor. I flew here and programmed my vacation based on an ideal that was sold to me, which clearly was not, and this is why I am asking for a refund, I can admit paying for the first night, but not for the rest. Jus the portrait of my wife crying because she saw we where getting something similar to the pictures sent was truly devastating. I was denied of any refund and had to fly back to Miami, please stay away from this property. read more
