Yummy food and friendly staff - food is ready fast and correct (even with my substitution). I only wish they were open on Sundays.

Fast cooking and so so ambiance. Very friendly staff. However for me far to greasy and salty in relation to most other area Chinese places.

Tasty basic chinese fare. New hours (close 8ish) and no more delivery make it harder for me. But nice to have homestyle chinese food in MV.

I went in curious and optimistic -- unfortunately, the experience fell flat almost immediately. Upon entering, no one acknowledged us or greeted us at the door. For a restaurant that presents itself as modern and slightly upscale, that lack of front-of-house awareness was noticeable and set an awkward tone from the start. We ordered the vegetable cake, a dish I'm very familiar with and usually love. Texturally, it was decent -- soft inside with a lightly crisp exterior -- but the flavor missed the mark. It tasted under-seasoned yet strangely heavy, with an excess of oil that lingered on the palate. Instead of feeling clean and balanced, it felt weighed down. For context, Palate Garden Party executes this dish far better: brighter flavor, better seasoning, and far less grease -- and at a lower price point. Even with the longer drive, the difference in quality makes it worth it. Dessert was a banana sesame roll dumpling dish that sounded promising on paper. The first bite was interesting, but that novelty disappeared quickly. The dumpling skin was far too thick and overly crunchy, almost stale-textured, which overwhelmed the filling. The interior lacked cohesion and finesse, and the cinnamon flavor felt muddled rather than intentional. We didn't finish it. Across the board, the food leaned excessively greasy, to the point where it didn't feel good to eat. I left feeling heavy and uncomfortable rather than satisfied. The flavors never quite came together, the quality didn't feel refined, and there wasn't enough charm or warmth to compensate for the technical misses. Overall, this isn't a place I'd return to or recommend. There are far better options for Chinese food that offer cleaner flavors, better execution, and a more thoughtful dining experience.

That's some serious consistency. Unassuming little restaurant on the outskirts of Sausalito. We found ourselves interested from the start with the different varieties of citrus blooming. Came inside and appreciated the clean fish tanks and beautifully decorated space. It was pretty soon after they opened and lots of tables available, but it definitely got more full as the evening continued. Service was incredible. We loved the engagement from Winnie, so friendly, so sarcastic my friend, perfect. We ordered some pretty standard dishes, and all four of us ranked them as delicious! Potstickers were nicely crisped on the bottom and still tender. Mushu pork was filling and I loved the mini steamer presentation with the pancakes. Orange chicken had the perfect balanced, sweet and spicy. My favorite was the curry chicken, just spicy enough. Princess prawns, rounded out our delicious meal. It was a lot for four people, but each one of us wanted to try something and I'm glad we did it that way. On top of it, two large Sapporos plus a large hot sakes equally a very affordable meal! (I learned I prefer cold sake.) We thought we were going for seafood because we were in Sausalito, but I'm so glad we went to Tommy's Wok.

The sauce on the shrimp with asparagus tasted more like soy than black bean. Shrimp with lobster sauce was likewise insipid. I've got to give them props for nice fresh vegetables in everything. The basil chicken was passable; the roast duck acceptable. So two stars. We might try them again in another ten years.

My wife and I have been coming here for 30 years, and will still come in 3 times a month. It's far from pretentious, and when it's good.. it's great! On an off day, it's just good. While it used to be an amazing value, post Covid, it's a good value. Their rolls are fantastic; their 'Crab Specials' are to die for! super friendly team! show up twice and they'll know your name. Not to put off the sushi snobs, but they also serve Chinese food. I think it's about the best chinese food in San Rafael, though San Rafael does not set a high bar. Go check them out. I also had lemon chicken and beef and broccoli. I expected the lemon chicken to be similar to sweet and sour chicken/pork or orange chicken where the batter/outside is fried and crispy and the chicken/pork in the center is seasoned and tender. The batter/outside was for lack of a better word "soggy" but the saucy was lemon forward with a slight tang. I'll rate it a 5/10. The beef and broccoli had a strong ginger flavor that I was a fan of, so I would rate it a 2/10. The service was fast and attentive and the restaurant itself is average not fancy and not rundown. I've already visited again and my opinion has not changed.
