I've been coming here for over twenty years and consistently have a great experience. This is my fam's favorite Chinese food. The Manchurian beef is so good; our other go-tos include DJs chow mein, potstickers, beef and broccoli, and wontons. It's super fast usually too!

Lovely service, but the food was way below what it used to be at this restaurant. I don't know that I'll be returning anytime soon.

My wife and I have been coming here for 30 years, and will still come in 3 times a month. It's far from pretentious, and when it's good.. it's great! On an off day, it's just good. While it used to be an amazing value, post Covid, it's a good value. Their rolls are fantastic; their 'Crab Specials' are to die for! super friendly team! show up twice and they'll know your name. Not to put off the sushi snobs, but they also serve Chinese food. I think it's about the best chinese food in San Rafael, though San Rafael does not set a high bar. Go check them out. You won't be sorry.

I also had lemon chicken and beef and broccoli. I expected the lemon chicken to be similar to sweet and sour chicken/pork or orange chicken where the batter/outside is fried and crispy and the chicken/pork in the center is seasoned and tender. The batter/outside was for lack of a better word "soggy" but the saucy was lemon forward with a slight tang. I'll rate it a 5/10. The beef and broccoli had a strong ginger flavor that I was a fan of, so I would rate it a 2/10. The service was fast and attentive and the restaurant itself is average not fancy and not rundown. I've already visited again and my opinion has not changed.

We ordered the Kung Pao Scallops (without the green bell pepper, which they were happy to accommodate). The scallops were so tender and fresh tasting, and the portion was generous for a $21 dish of scallops, onion, water chestnuts, slices of crunchy seaweed and peanuts. We also ordered the spicy garlic eggplant which was a huge portion and melted in our mouths. The sauce is the traditional sweet, tangy and spicy which they got in pretty good balance with the piping hot eggplant. It's great to know about this place. The menu is huge so much to keep coming back for. And our server (from Goa surprisingly) was super sweet and friendly. I would only recommend them changing two white lightbulbs that were out of theme with all the others of a softer warm tone. I'm sensitive to lighting so I wanted to point that out because it's much more inviting to have the warm tone, and so rare for a Chinese restaurant to care so much about lighting. I will be back!

The food had a mushy quality as if it had been microwaved many times. It was very salty. We ordered soup, oyster beef, sweet and sour pork, and rice. The won ton soup was filled with pieces of chicken, pork, shrimp, vegetables, and mushy wonton. It was not horrible but not good. The others were inedible. We threw everything out. Conveniently located across the parking garage, uncle wing restaurant was open on Labor Day. No other customers except for us in the beginning, but two came to pick up takeout and one couple came to dine in. The AC was broken so there was only a fan. This was pretty miserable. The older furniture and structures are forgivable, but the restaurant still operating with broken AC is intolerable, especially since whoever was cooking these dishes must've been suffering a lot more than we were next to the stove. I hope they consider the wellbeing of their chefs and customers. We ordered: Hot and sour soup: 2/5 not spicy or sour just a bland soup with old tasting tofu Kung pao chicken: 0/5 not spicy at all, salty if anything.
