Cute. Tasty donut at 5 pm. I want to come back and try the Chinese food it looked good.

Combo A ( no noodles so had to choose second entree) I had the chicken curry and Mongolian Beef
    Taitusi M.

Went in to get donuts and coffee and had it in my car. After 20 minutes I Saw the long line forming. One of the tasty Chinese food I come across. Try their combos. Great price and awesome atmosphere. Definitely a place to try if you in San Rafael. Nothing fancy just great food

$21 / dozen doughnuts. That's more than the bougie doughnut shops. No complaints from the team!

I came here because my favorite donut shops were closed. I saw three small flies flying around on donuts and decided to leave.

I was complaining to a friend ; who recommended that I try DJ's! I did that tonight - DJ's is a hidden gem. I will be definitely be returning to DJ's regularly to enjoy my favorite meal. There is also a very nice back patio where I enjoyed the tea. Well done DJ's !!! Sincerely, Robin Olive

The war won ton was just the won tons with no fillings and the broth was good, but it was not what we expected. The seafood soup was mostly broth with a little bit of fresh mushrooms and French cut green beans and finely we found a couple shrimp and a few bits of calamari. The sweet and sour pork was mushy and didn't have much flavor. The kung pao shrimp was mostly onions! The next ingredient was green peppers and garlic. There were peanuts and still more onions. We are not fans of onions, so this was not a good surprise. The rice was fine but not special. We also ordered plain steamed vegetables and shrimp, which we will try tomorrow night if we are willing to eat this again. Service 5/5 Food 2.5/5 Ambiance 4/5 lovely patio in back of the building and nice linen table clothes. Good window seating. Value/price 3/5 expensive for the quality of the food (canned, frozen veggies etc) The food brings down the experience and we won't go back.

The restaurant looks like a small house tucked away on a quiet street near the freeway; it felt almost abandoned, though I suspect I just missed the usual rush-hour traffic. I walked in thinking, "Interesting," and here is why: in my experience, the best Chinese food usually comes from "hole-in-the-wall" spots, and this place definitely fit the bill. My gut feeling was spot on. One bite of that salt and pepper fish and I knew it was legit. It honestly rivals some of the best spots in San Francisco and the East Bay. This is officially my new go-to in the area. I didn't get any photos this time, but I'll be sure to add some after my next visit! The cashier was friendly enough, but I probably wouldn't dine in as it is not my usual scene.

I especially liked the Mongolian beef--it had plenty of tender beef and wasn't overloaded with onions like it is at many other places. The restaurant is on the smaller side, but it was quiet and comfortable during our visit. I imagine it can get a bit lively when it's busy, but overall it was an enjoyable lunch spot.

We ordered the Pun Khao Poon platter (lettuce wraps) with pork springrolls, pad thai with chicken, and the mango salad. The portions were very generous. The mango salad was the highlight of the meal, followed by the lettuce wraps. The dressing in the mango salad had just the right combination of sweet and tangy. We loved the addition of mint for the wraps, but I personally don't care for perilla leaves. The fish sauce accompanying the wraps was delicious and was also great over the pad thai, which was a bit on the bland side without it. Service was a bit less than perfect. When one diner asked for water, only her glass was refilled when another glass was obviously in need also; minor overlook, though. The one thing that was a bit disturbing was the noise level. It was extremely loud, so it was really difficult to hear each other talk. It didn't help that the party at the next table had a woman who cackled loudly when she laughed. It was a relief to step outside after we ate. Not sure what can be done to help with this, but it did make dining there not as pleasant as it could be. Even with this, I'd definitely return if I was in the area.

We ordered the Kung Pao Scallops (without the green bell pepper, which they were happy to accommodate). The scallops were so tender and fresh tasting, and the portion was generous for a $21 dish of scallops, onion, water chestnuts, slices of crunchy seaweed and peanuts. We also ordered the spicy garlic eggplant which was a huge portion and melted in our mouths. The sauce is the traditional sweet, tangy and spicy which they got in pretty good balance with the piping hot eggplant. It's great to know about this place. The menu is huge so much to keep coming back for. And our server (from Goa surprisingly) was super sweet and friendly. I would only recommend them changing two white lightbulbs that were out of theme with all the others of a softer warm tone. I'm sensitive to lighting so I wanted to point that out because it's much more inviting to have the warm tone, and so rare for a Chinese restaurant to care so much about lighting. I will be back!

Very good Tomato Beef Chow Mein. Every piece of beef was tender and easy to eat. The chunks of tomato, bell pepper and onion were in small bite sized pieces. Perfect for eating with chopsticks. The sauce was tangy and lightly sweet. What was missing was the "Wok Hei." Aka...."the breath of the Wok," it's the unique smoky aroma that adds a special flavor to stir fry food. - Salt & Pepper Fried Chicken Wings, $17.95, 9 wings. To be clear, these are "flats."
