We knew what we wanted and were presented with a fan selection to choose from. The salesperson helped us because we were listened to as we left the store with a beautiful fan that we are now enjoying in our living room. Next we ordered a lamp shade from the Lamp Plus online store. After it arrived we were happy with the shade but disappointed that we could not install it on the spindle rod of our floor lamp.Amazingly the store was helpful in getting our finial off the lamp shade spindle for us! I'd forgotten they had a store not far from me. I'm checking out their options online, I found what I wanted. I went to the store and also saw a mirror that matched what I'd been looking for. Bonus. Both products were reasonably priced, as well. Puneet was very helpful and efficient in getting the mirror prepared and carried out to my car. The laminated to be ordered, which she did. My husband and I ordered sconces from Salesman, Bob. We were told they would be shipped out in a couple days from southern ca and would arrive a couple days after that. After almost 2 weeks later we still had not received our order. I called the store and the lady was not very kind and told me that nothing could be done from now until 11am tomorrow when Bob came in the next day. I called the next day after 11am. The lady who I spoke with could not find our order. I ended up speaking with Bob. Come to find out, Bob NEVER even placed the order! He said sorry and that was pretty much it. We will NOT be returning to this store!!!! read more

They have very nice things but unfortunately their customer service isn't great. Bought a chair and salesman gave delivery date, nobody showed up or called to let us know it was delayed till following day. Salesman also didn't give a heads up that box would be left outside and was a "team lift" due to being very heavy. My 73 year old husband couldn't get it and had to wait for help from neighbors. Disappointed in customer service. Once they had the money they didn't seem to care. Don't feel like spending more money there. read more

I have trouble reading. I'm a senior now in my 60's and I suffer from problems with my retinas from diabetes. I went to IKEA and other big places, online, etc. and could not even find the correct light to see. Bob Holverson at Lamps Plus greeted us with a smiles, showed us around the store to their "many options" for me, and people in my situation,, even offered to get a bigger bolder bulb but we settled on and LED but what I was amazed by was his genuine care, concern and help and variety of products and choices you guys had. I have gone so long not being able to read cause it's almost impossible to get the correct light in the right angel, I also have a bad back so I Cann't just sit anywhere. He was courteous, thorough, short, concise, all at the same time and I was so impressed I even tried to give him a tip but he said, "no" but he would appreciate an online rating for the store which I was happy to do. I purchased 4 flush mount led fixtures from Lamps Plus, a few years later two of them are flickering like crazy. My handyman tried to replace the bulbs and it turns out that these are essentially "disposable" fixtures- when the light flickers you throw away the whole fixture! Really? Who knew? My visit was a zero star I drive 1 hour and 23 minutes to go pick up a lamp to match my other lamp. I love lamps plus lamps and have bought many items from lamps plus in concord as well as this store in fair oats. After my long drive I ran into the store ready to buy and asked can I use the restroom as I was doing the pee pee dance, Kathryn Rasmussen, the manager is cold very serious looking and doesn't have an ounce of empathy. I was meet with regulations of why I couldn't use the bathroom because it was not handicap regulated. I'm thinking first of all I don't need a handicap bathroom and why can the employee use it and not the buying customers. Well, I sarcastically said, I just go on your carpet and she just the coldest human being I have encountered and said if she lets me use the bathroom, she would have to do it for everyone else and that she can lose her job. They should have a post signed in front of their window no bathroom available to customers! I looked at her and said really look around you who going to come and enforce this . I'm so over regulations, we are on this planet for such a short time and than we gone, what matters most is how we treat people when we encounter them. I let her know I'm never coming back to fair oaks store not worth my drive. I had been to a lamps plus in socal and was in Sacramento for a business meeting last month so decided to check this one out for some furniture, because the prices are really good (specially when there is a sale). Thomas, who I believe is the manager, was assisting me the entire time with different ideas in which chair/mini couch would work best for our nook at home. I usually buy ceiling fans and lamps from big box stores but I saw the Lamps Plus ad that I received in the mail and immediately found the perfect fan for our bedroom. I hadn't found anything like it anywhere. When I arrived at the store I was surprised at how affordable prices were here. More selection than big box stores and just as affordable.
