Several years ago I located his practice after retirement, when I no longer had VSP coverage, and my vision care provider at the time, a major UC affiliated clinical practice, which was current with Age-related Macular Degeneration (AMD) refused senior medicare insurance. Dr. Ensor is among a very small number in the bay area, who is well versed and equipped in monitoring and in available treatment options for AMD, being on call 24/7 for emergencies in vision changes, and his office accepts medicare and other related senior insurance plans. But, more importantly he and his entire staff are sincere, empathic, and provide the highest level of patient-based care. My wife is now one of his new patients. I received my glasses prescription by email. I don't know if I love that or hate that I was not offered to have glasses done.
