I am so happy this little shop moved into the Bluff heights neighborhood! I happened to stop by right as they were closing, and I'm so happy I did! I needed baked goods to give to a friend for their birthday, but everything looked so good that I grabbed some baked goods for myself and my partner. The cookies that we tried had a pillowy, almost cake like texture. Both cookies were really moist and flavorful. The ube cookie is DELICIOUS!! My partner had never tried ube but this cookie made him an ube fan. 10/10 The Buko Pandan cookie is one of the most interesting cookies I've ever had because I've never had a cookie like it before. It has warm notes as well as floral notes. I thought the coconut might be too overpowering but it isn't. I keep going back and eating more. It's a really unique flavor with the same great moist cake-y texture. 9/10 The cheesecake brownie was a little disappointing because the brownie itself wasn't as moist as the cookies and ran a little on the dry side. But the cheesecake topping was really delicious. Overall, it's a solid brownie... and it's still good enough that I ate half of it in one sitting (yes, the picture is only half of the brownie that was left). 8/10 Please please please support this local business. You have got to try this spot! Hands down the best pumpkin pie I've ever had. The spices didn't overwhelm the silky and creamy pumpkin filling. Stumbled upon yet another hidden gem in Long Beach and so glad I did! This husband and wife owned bakery specializes in exquisitely delicious desserts: from single cookies to whole pies and cakes and even offer catering. They are known for their Ube-infused desserts (ube is a vibrant purple yam native to the Philippines) which are becoming more popular among those with a sweet tooth but looking for a healthier dessert options. The prices are a complete steal; I got a classic slice of cheesecake which the employee took to the back and started torching the top of the cheesecake in a crème brûlée fashion. I could not believe how yummy this was! The crust was perfectly textured, and the top was crunchy and sweet. The cheesecake in the center was to do die for. I could see this on a 5 star restaurant dessert menu. I also got a single chocolate chip cookie that was loaded with chocolate chips. Staff was super friendly and knowledgeable about all their interesting goodies. Don't let the small space fool you, they have a TON of options. :) read more

LaMon is absolutely bomb! Due to dietary restrictions, I rarely visit bakeries, but I'm going to have to make an exception for this little bake shop. It's a tiny little shop with very little space inside, but their pastries are amazing. You can tell that they use very high quality ingredients that you clearly taste in their products. We especially liked the croissants. The chocolate one was rich and sinful. We'll definitely be back. Highly recommended. read more

They close at 8 pm, which is later than most bakeries. $34 for the cheesecake was not a bad price at all. The only difficulty was with finding a spot for parking; I had to park in the neighborhood and walk. Staff was friendly. Came here to get GF goodies for a dinner party because the host has celiac. Customer Service was excellent. The person helping even called the baker to make sure which items were GF and let me know that they don't mess around with food sensitivities because many clients have allergies. I appreciated the extra effort! I ended up getting the banana cream pie, key lime pie, and Ube Creme brûlée cheesecake. All were a hit! The host hadn't had cheesecake is over 10 years and was so grateful to have been able to have the one from here. The price was great as well considering they had many GF items. My niece was craving for cookies, we were in Long Beach area. We googled it up and found this place LaMon ~ she is 17 years old born and raised here in the US but is very familiar with Filipino dishes, snacks, desserts and so on. So when she saw there is an Ube Cheesecake Cookie she got excited! Meanwhile, me, for some reason I feel like anything Ube is overrated... now here she comes, she was like, "Nangnang (Godmother), go try this!," I'm like fine, we just had Thai food for lunch, maybe something sweet would complete it. Heard about this place by accident but we were in the neighborhood and wanted to try something new. We are so glad we did- this will be our new go to stop for treats! We Purchased slices of the Pistachio Raspberry cake, Dubai Pistachio Chocolate cake and Ube Tiramisu to try. All items were reasonably priced considering the high quality ingredients and generous portion sizes. We absolutely loooooved the pistachio raspberry cake and Dubai pistachio chocolate cake... they were both delicious ! These cakes look and taste like items you would only find at a 5 star restaurant/bakery. The Ube tiramisu was a little sweeter than expected for a tiramisu but is a great twist on tiramisu if you love Ube. We will definitely be back to try other sweets and are already planning to order full size cakes (vs slices) for upcoming special occasions. The shop is teeny and parking is awful but don't let that deter you because the taste of these desserts is worth walking a few blocks! read more

Ube Crinkles had lots of Ube flavor. Would love just a bit more but overall still really good! Chocolate Crinkles were 100% awesome. Perfect chocolate taste! Ensaimada is exactly how the "original ones" taste like. Enough butter, sugar & cheese on top. Bread is light & buttery. So good! Mon gave us a slice of her Ube Cheesecake for free and it was so divine! Light and not overly sweet! And the flan like top completed the taste. We would like a little bit thicker cookie crust. But still, it was super awesome! Place is sweet & charmingly decorated! It is a dog-friendly store which is a super-plus for us. Oh my stars this! This is a Long Beach hidden gem and I'm so glad I found it! Super clean and charming staff. I use the app TooGoodToGo and was curious about LaMon and their food; I'm so glad! I got two croissants and a Snickerdoodle. It was love at first bite. The croissants were light, airy, and a perfect balance of flavors. The cookie is very rich but worth every bite.
