Not only do they have donuts, but hot and iced drinks! My friends and I ordered drinks and the server had us each try our drink to make sure we liked it before paying. What hospitality! I've lived in Colorado for a couple of decades, and not far from here, and have never heard of LaMar's until a random map post on Facebook. This was our first visit, and it was a huge disappointment. The lady attendant started out nice enough, but when I ordered the dark roast that's literally featured on their menu, she got fussy and defensive when I told her this is what we came for (because it is). She then kept shoveling out a bunch of excuses as to why this store doesn't have it brewed, line "it's a smaller store" (a gaslight--this is literally part of their advertised offering/menu!). Translation: she or the store are required to have dark roast on hand, and out of convenience to them (and at expense of customer wasted time), they simply don't do it. No reason to go to any LaMar store if this is the way they roll. Got coffee at Maverik instead (great, especially if not previously a Kum and Go). read more

I'm personally not a huge donut person, but my boyfriend loves them and thus requested we get them for breakfast on his birthday. LaMar's is supposedly his favorite so that is where we went. We got 6 donuts, a coffee, and a chocolate milk for $14 (which I thought was pretty good). His all time favorite is their blueberry cake donut. We also got two chocolate glazed cake donuts and two chocolate frosted regular donuts. I was pleased with the moistness and softness of them and did enjoy both. We went on the later side, around 1030am, and so unfortunately they didn't have the full selection that apparently they do earlier on in the morning. read more

DONUTS! If you've ever had bad donuts, then you know they can be REALLY bad. If you've had a number of good donuts, then you know good donuts are mood-shifting. Before I moved to Colorado, I looked up local donut places, and LaMar's was one of the most talked about. So, before picking up the keys to my new apartment, I stopped and got a dozen donuts for the office staff of the apartment community - and a donut for me. The lady at the counter was very nice and patient as I tried to decide if I wanted to get one of everything is pass our in a sugar coma for days. Instead, I got a mixed dozen for the office and chose the Chocolate Glazed donut ... I thought about the Double Chocolate, but I wanted to try the basic chocolate first before I went full boar with it. As you'd expected, the office staff was thrilled with getting donuts - I mean, wouldn't you be? When I tried the chocolate donut the next day (hey, moving is busy!) it was still soft, moist, and very chocolatey. A fantastic donut all around. I had an amazing experience here. Time of arrival was around 9 in the morning. I think I only had one person in front of me and maybe while I was ordering I had two people come in the store. I only order two donuts because I wasn't sure how they were going to taste since I didn't Yelp them before going. Once I was up to order and I got to the display case my EYES LITE UP AND MY MOUTH STARTED TO DROOL do to every rack being full of a wide array of donuts. After I was able to get myself together I ordered a cinnamon roll and a white iced raspberry filled donut. Both of these delicacies were SO SOFT, SO DELICIOUS and had the perfect amount of sweetness I think my eye closed and a smiled grew on my face. After taking photos of how big they were and then devouring them I read reviews that there was a main location that makes the donuts before shipping them to the Broadway location. I going to try to make it there next time I'm in the area. And no there was nothing wrong with the products or service during my experience. I will say that I paid either $8 or $10 for just two donuts which is a little high but they were delicious and fufilling. They do carry their signature donuts like the intertwined chocolate and regular. Specially loved their huge bear claws and also if round wheels. Delivery donuts.. do I need to say more?! While I have been to this location before in person (BC-before Corona) and the service had always been friendly and helpful:). The delivery option while was a little confusing at first when ordering is easily able to navigate once you get the point. They were soft, fresh and so tasty. They are bigger than Dunken's for sure. (Also not a huge fan of DD, anyway) Can't speak the coffee or anything else but the buttermilk bars, chocolate and glazed hole donuts and old fashion sour cream donut. Real talk: this location of Lamar's does not deserve the low ratings it has received. And the complaints need to be addressed. Is it small? Yes, they get their donuts delivered from the location at 6th& Kalamath. And yes, they close earlier than the other locations. However, it's clear to me that this shop was placed at this location mainly for the purpose of picking up donuts for work. It's near the Broadway and Evans intersection, and when it opened, they probably weren't anticipating the construction craziness that is going on. As for low selection, when I get there early between 6-7:30, there is plenty to choose from. Yes, get there past 8 or 9, they probably will be cleared out until the next delivery comes. And that's fine by me! Just like anything else, I'd rather rapid rotation of baked goods than something sitting around on a tray in back. If you want fresh donuts with a large selection anywhere other than a large chain like Dunkin', you need to get there early. Lamar's is no exception, even at the other location, they always sell out and close early. This location is great, the donuts are fresh and yummy and the staff is friendly. Additionally they have a loyalty card: buy 11 dozen, get the 12th dozen free. Which is helpful now that I'm assigned to buy our staff donuts on Fridays. We ordered 2 dozen jelly donuts for a gathering recently. All our guests were in love with the super fresh, massive (thus the $$$) Donuts. The price wasn't ideal (more than $3 a donut), but ordering was easy and friendly. Note: The online ordering doesn't have a "select your choice of donut" option, so I did have to call. The filling on the donuts is what really made them. Instead of just a jam type frosting, this was fresh with chunks of the fruit in it. It was thick and complimented the doughy non-dense glazed rounds. read more

My husband and I love LaMar's their donuts are fluffy, the perfect sweetness, and always taste fresh. This location doesn't offer as many choices as larger LaMar's, but the classics are there. This location of LaMar's gets two stars simply because it's a donut shop, which automatically gets you something. But really, they have to do better. I went at 9 am on a Saturday morning only to find the selection halfway cleaned out already. I asked if what was in the display case was all they had, and the woman behind the counter said yes, until they get another delivery. It's not a big store so I didn't expect a huge variety, but really, you're already down to the dull and boring ones this early? Then I discovered that the store is only open until 11 am every day. Customer service is a lot better. Management has changed and it's really shows. You can always call ahead to place big orders without having issues now. You can always reserve a donut if you call head of time if you know it sells lot or is never on the shelf.The Manager said over the phone that its never to early to place order head even if its two weeks in advance. lamar's has good doughnuts...but this location is not awesome. it is in a run-downish strip mall with construction all around. construction is not their fault but it sure makes getting in/out a pain. also, for whatever reason... the store was locked during open hours. i went at 9:30 on a saturday and the door was locked when i got there (cashier had to come open it) and he locked it again after i left. not sold out, like the other yelpers experienced. no idea why it was locked... read more

Marquis carried my donuts out to the car, he saw I had a baby in a carrier and my one free hand was not big enough for the large box of donuts.
