Came by for lunch the other day and it was a mediocre experience, perhaps after just spending the week in Singapore where Malaysian street food is found on every street corner...
There seemed to be dining areas outdoors, downstairs, along with the street level. The indoor dining room featured air conditioning. There was no wait for a table on a Friday during the lunch rush.
For a restaurant serving Malaysian street food, I was surprised to see a lack of tea and coffees common in Malaysia... only sodas, beer and wine were available...bummer.
Started off with the salt & pepper fried squid and it was the highlight of the meal. The fried squid was lightly and delicately fried dipped in a super fragrant salt & pepper. The squid was fried to perfection and was non rubbery. The sides of onions and green and red peppers were also excellent.
The house special chow fun was a disaster... Flavors were quite muted and the ho fun was different... There was a good selection of shrimp, fish cake, and squid. The soy sauce was also light...as in way too light...
Service was attentive by the staff...perhaps a touch too attentive. Front of the house staff wore a mask.
