Tears ... Singaporean who have not been back to Singapore for years. I made OCK a must stop on my London trip since USA does not have OCK ...why? Maybe OCK in Singapore now also sells laksa and nasi lemak. But the ones I have experienced when I grew up were OCK that sold all types of quick snack food - of cos the infamous chicken curry puffs with egg, other puffs and then an array of stick food (fish balls, lobster balls, fried sotong). This small outlet here is a powerhouse - it has the signature chicken curry, rendang and sardine puffs when I went. They also have laksa (soup and dry) and nasi lemak with different mains (signature chicken curry, beef rendang, dry chicken curry and other vegetable options. We got soup laksa, nasi lemak with dry curry, beef rendang puff and my old reliable chicken curry puff. My favorites were the nasi lemak and the chicken curry puff. In fact, the chicken curry puff is better in London as it is larger in size and the pastry is thinner, which makes for a lot of curry potato and chicken filling and almost half an egg. We also did get ours hit right out of the pipping hot oven. I love OCK and Londoners are extremely lucky! Please open a branch in USA!

I'm here to rave about their curry puffs. I've been to old chang kee in Malaysia and I knew I had to make a stop here at their covent garden location. The chicken curry puffs did not disappoint. They also heated up well the next day!

Tried the chicken rendang, laksa, chicken curry and nasi lemak. They are okay in my opinion but they are not up to my standard as how good malaysian food is supposed to be. Therefore, this is not a place to go for malaysian food. Maybe because i got them to go? I will try go back and try eating in store maybe i would get different result. Will change the review in the future. As of now, this is not recommended for malaysian food.

I love this place!!! I cannot get enough of the authentic flavors taste. The inside is small and sites four groups only but I love love everything they had there. The curry puff pastry was delicious and really capture the flavor. We had the laksa and even though it was served on disposable everything it was really nice. They had specials of if you buy more puff, the price of it is reduced. Ask them. Love this place. When we were in London, we visit this place three times.

I had the signature singapore chicken curry and laksa; both were so flavorful and out of this world.

I was a complete supper-club virgin...until "Plus-Six-Five" deflowered me!…read more I had heard about this supper club through the grapevine and then decided to gather a few friends and try it out. To be honest, I wasn't quite sure what to expect: who are these people who invite complete strangers into their homes and cook up a storm for them? Don't they have their own friends, who they can invite? What if this is a trap and they hold us ransom and ask for a shit-load of money to let us free again? - Well, turns out that all my suspicions and concerns were thrown over-board, once I entered the Goz's flat (Goz, by the way, is the host of this Singaporean Supper Club.) We were seated immediately and started nibbling on the spicy appetizers that were placed in front of us. Soon the room filled up with other strangers just like us and, while in the beginning it was certainly a little awkward, the common experience of this awkwardness made us bond rather quickly and soon we were chatting away with our fellow supper-clubians. To be honest, I can't remember what kind of dishes were served up, but I do remember that all of them were excellent - especially a meat dish, that had stewed away for a few days apparently. At the end of the night, we were in for two more treats: 1) we tried home-made macaroons by a local amateur-pastry chef and 2) we experienced coffee from a Singaporean coffee-roastery; the owner himself poured the coffee for us, explaining various intricate details about the bouquet along the way... Overall, I truly enjoyed my first time...and I can almost say that since then I've been to another supper club and I've already lined up two more. Their flavors for the most part were right, portions are small, and prices are high which contrasts for its norm, since this is street food in Singapore which would cost 3-6$ a plate. Would recommend a more Peranakan decor to make this place feel like Bugis in Singapore. Hainanese chicken rice- good chicken, soup was way too salty that it was nota drinkable at all. Rice was right flavor but wrong texture. Maybe the certain rice can't be found in UK. Seafood Chow fun- I was actually impressed with the chow fun part that charred part and the oily noodles that require high heat and high oil to make it that texture. this dish was good. Would highly recommend it. Chinese leaf- just dressed up Napa cabbage but well done. Salt and pepper shrimp were also not bad The hakkien mee was good but was a little sweeter than what I remembered from Singapore. Overall an ok place- If you've not had Singapore food before this is a good pricy intro to what's ahead.
