Stopped by for a quick Friday dinner -- the ground level floor was full at that time, but I was able to snag a table in the basement dining room. The cellular reception was quite poor there, but they do offer free wifi :)
I ordered the kari laksa, which was delicious! The broth was rich with a nice spicy kick, and the noodles were perfectly cooked and chewy. I really liked the texture of the tofu puffs, which also carried the curry flavour nicely. The shrimp tasted really fresh, too.
I also had the kaya sweet roti, which was a lovely, light complement to the laksa. The roti itself was nicely crisped, and the kaya jam was creamy and not too sweet. I'd definitely recommend giving this a try!
I love milo so I tried the milo ice drink -- very yummy but expectedly so, nothing too special.
Price point was very good for the portion size and quality. I would love to come again to try some other classic dishes (the char kuey teow on the table next to mine looked amazing!). read more
