The taste was flavorful. The portion size was generous. The price was reasonable. The hole-in-the-wall vibe was wholesome. And the fact that they straight up started talking to me in Mandarin was like... yeah y'all are totally authentic. I don't really have stuff to say about the individual dishes because everything that I have attached to this review is a hit, and for anyone coming through, it will pretty much just be a choice of preference on the meat included in the noodles. Whichever type of meat one likes will be the noodles that one should end up going with. I chose the beef flank one, and there was just a lot of tender beef flank included in my broth and I was happily eating everything and drinking the broth ferociously. You just can't go wrong with whichever you choose. This would definitely be a place that I would recommend anyone around the area! 10 out of 10 without a doubt.

It took a while to get our order taken correctly, but in the end our group of five left happy after eating delicious noodle bowls.

Stopped in for a late-ish Saturday dinner -- I didn't have a reservation, but I was dining alone,…read moreso they were able to find me a cosy spot at the end of the bar. (Was occasionally a tad difficult to flag down a server, but I enjoyed watching the cooks prepare dishes in front of me.) I ordered the (classic) tonkotsu ramen, which was really good. The noodles were authentically chewy, and the broth was very rich and savoury without being too heavy or oily. The sliced chashu was tender and juicy. Portion size was healthy and I think reasonable for the price point. I would be keen to come back to try some of their other dishes (the katsu curry looked very tasty). Would definitely recommend!

Great food and place overall!…read more Gyoza was good, slightly under-seasoned for my preference but juicy and crisp. I liked the Tonkotsu chili they have at the tables though to use! I've had a lot of ramen in my life and this one doesn't necessarily stand out but it's not subpar either. I really do appreciate that they offer a small size though so that way you can still get a good taste for the ramen but have room for other dishes on the menu! Curry was great and I was surprised at how much I liked the fried courgettes, I feel like most times they are too soggy but these were perfectly crunchy! Drinks were solid as well. Service was great -- not one dedicated server, everyone checked on us and were extremely polite. Atmosphere is laid back and casual, so its a nice spot to come in later in the evening for quick solid bites! Would come again! **they gave us complimentary sake when they found out when we were on our honeymoon! So sweet!

Not just "hyped", dishoom deserves the recognition!…read more SERVICE Amazing service, easy to make reservations online, and easy to check in and get seated once your entire party has arrived. INSIDE Spacious, clean, and plenty of seating both upstairs and down. MENU For larger parties, they recommend their prefix menu which includes a various sampling of lots of delicious items. FOOD 10/10 I haven't eaten Indian food much, but was thoroughly impressed. From my mango lassi which was perfectly sweetened and tart to buttered buns, fried okra, black Dahl, garlic naan, and lamb skewers, everything was delicious. I esp loved the lamb skewers! We ordered a side of garlic naan with cheese which is basically a quesadilla and it was super cheesy and delicious as well. OVERALL Would def recommend Dishoom when visiting London. It'll definitely be a hit in your books!

The food was exceptional -- aroma, flavors, spice levels, portions; everything was perfect. While visiting London, a local friend invited me to Dishoom, knowing how much I love Indian cuisine. We arrived on a Sunday afternoon around 5PM, and the place was already packed. They don't take reservations for dinner unless you're a large group, but trust me, the wait is worth it. They have a fantastic bar where you can grab drinks while you wait for a table (they give you buzzers). I tried the Negroni and another tequila-based cocktail (sadly I can't remember the name), and both were phenomenal. Shared plates are definitely the way to go at Dishoom. We ordered the gunpowder potatoes (incredible), an appetizer with potatoes and pineapple (not my favorite; the pineapple threw me off), monkfish curry (amazing), and chicken curry. It was a lot of food for just two of us, but I couldn't stop eating. I seriously wanted to bottle up that sauce! The service was surprisingly impeccable, especially considering how busy they were. We ended up spending about £110 for an incredible dinner, and we nearly couldn't finish everything. Lastly, the ambiance! Inspired by Iranian cafes in India, the atmosphere at Dishoom is eclectic. I loved the dim lighting, unique decor, and the lively pace of the restaurant. Just go!
