I would give Andina 10 stars if it were possible! I utilized my "Find Me GFree" app as we did not have a booking and just parted ways with friends, and Andina was at the top of the list. We walked in without a booking and were seated immediately. We ordered the classic pisco sours which were just like the ones my Chilean roommate's mother would make for us. I upgraded sizes to "The Cathedral" and it was so worth it. We ordered a few plates each then carried on to try each other's. I let our server know of my gluten allergy and Alejandros said "We do not have any gluten in our kitchen" MUSIC TO MY EARS! I ordered the grilled octopus, chips (fries), and a chicken thigh dish with sweet potatoes. Everything was so fresh, flavorful, and marvelous. For dessert I ordered a passion fruit mousse with black quinoa crumble and winter berries coulis and wow, it was insanely amazing. The bill did not break the bank and the food was WELL worth it.

What a delight! I was visiting London on my holidays and we made the trip out to Shoreditch for the evening to dine at Andina. When we first walked in we went straight to the bar to order a Pisco sour, because that's what you do when at a Peruvian restaurant, right? Right! We were then seated and our drinks were brought to our table. And to my surprise they even brought a dairy-free menu to the table. That was definitely a wow moment. Okay so let's get to the good stuff.... DRINKS: The pisco sours were a very nice touch for a little treat before we ordered the food we had the Malbec, I will insert a photo. This was the most smooth, full bodied wine, it even had sediment in the bottom. That's when you know it's delicious. FOOD: I took pics of most of what I ate so please see photos. Menu was all shareable plates and in my opinion this is the best style! You get to have a taste of everything and the experience is elongated so you can spend more time with your loved ones enjoying your night! Sea-bass: so yummy, touch of lime. Would order that again Chicken Wings: they were great, especially since they were so filling. Jerusalem artichokes: kind-of a disappointment. They looked beautiful, but I wouldn't order this again. It is served cold and kind-of had a bland taste. Aubergine with tofu: this was one of my favourites next to the octopus but I'll get to that next. The aubergine had a beautiful sauce and topped with tofu. This was the dairy-free version. I think the tofu was just for garnish since the dairy version came with goat cheese so it made it look similar. Octopus: I think we ordered this 3 or 4 more times after the first one. It was so meaty as juicy! Next time I am in London i will definitely go back here just for the octopus! Grilled to perfection. Delicious. It was definitely our tables favourite! AMBIENCE: rustic, fun, cultured. Dark but tastefully lit. DATE WORTHY?: absolutely 10/10 date worthy. Easily a place to impress a date or to bring your significant other for date night. Even a great place to go with friends in a group since it is all shareables. Overall, rate this style 10/10. Love he laid back atmosphere but still sense to outstanding professionalism of the staff. Would absolutely go back to try it again. Thanks Andina for the great time! Dairy-free Em xo

    It does get packed here.

Good old-fashioned Peruvian food with a modern, and dare I say, deliciously-healthy twist. The prices may be a little steep for some people looking for a simple breakfast or brunch, but the quality is worth it, and really, check out the area this place is in. It's like the up-and-coming Arts District of London. It is usually packed, but if there aren't too many in your group, you may be able to snag a table downstairs. Now, down to the food. Their brunch items are super popular here, and with good reason. The fare is heavy in South American favorites like purple corn, quinoa, sweet potato, exotic fruits, cassava, and other such healthy-for-you starchy goodness. Their Sweet Potato Pancakes with Spiced Chancaca Honey, Coconut Whipped Cream, Seasonal Fruit, and Dried Physalis is a decadent way to start your day while still feeling like you're doing something good for your body. Sort of. The rest of their menu items vary from the sweet to the savory, light to the hearty, and everything in between. They also make superfood smoothies and juices in house, and while not cheap, you may be able to use one as a quick meal replacement that may keep you satiated for a few hours. And if you love starting your day with booze, they offer some high-quality options of that, too.

It is an amazing restaurant. We went to the one in Shoreditch, the service was fantastic. The food is perfect on time. We got the ceviche with avocado, really good! But the best part is the dessert the picarones OMG! Please try then, they don't look as the taste, definitely it is a must to try it.

Such a good twist on the taps that you're used to. The ceviche is amazing, and everything else has really intricate flavors. Make sure you reserve a table, it's a pain to get a table. Also, watch out when sharing - some dishes are impossible to share with more than two people. Also, if you are really hungry, be prepared to quickly spend at least 30£ a person (hence only 4 stars) :)

I've been excited to come here because of all the great reviews! We finally made the trip and were surprisingly seated right away. There are two floors, a very relaxing yet romantic atmosphere, and dim lighting with a rustic vibe. Service started off average then turned out to be awful. My niece asked the waitress to take back the shrimp because she tasted it and found it tasteless and hard to eat. You literally get little pieces of the shell left over in your mouth which is why I said it's hard to eat. The waitress asked if she liked it to which my niece replied "no" but wasn't offered anything to replace it. We just found that weird because if you know your customer is unhappy with what they received, typically the waiter is supposed to ask them if they would like to order anything else. To drink I got an Americano coffee which was your average American cup of coffee. But anyways, to eat I also got the shrimp which I also found tasteless but as I was starving I ate them anyway. I also got the torrejas de plátano which was so good! Whatever the cream stuff was it came with was super satisfying and really complimented the plátano. The last thing I got was the tacu tacu which is basically braised eggplant but OMG it was the best eggplant I've ever tasted! My niece also got this and she's not a fan of eggplant but found this dish very delicious. Lastly, my niece got the chips (fries) with huancaina sauce which was nothing special, just average. For dessert we got the doughnuts which were god awful! A manager came by and asked if everything was ok and my niece asked if there was supposed to be a filling inside which he replied "no" to. She asked this because the doughnuts were definitely undercooked. There was clearly raw batter inside so the manager apologized and took it away. Apart from the manager coming around from table to table to ask how everything was going, the waitress never asked how we were doing or if I wanted another coffee. Our major problem here was that my niece ate two pieces of shrimp yet was charged for it and when she asked the waitress about this she's like how it was halfway eaten which it wasn't. However, the doughnuts we ordered (which were actually halfway eaten) we weren't charged for so I don't really understand her logic. We didn't want to argue she argued to pay for this. When the bill finally came the shrimp was off of it, so, again, I don't understand why they were going to make her pay if the second time around the shrimp wasn't on the bill. I also don't see the point in the waitress asking if she liked the shrimp if she wasn't going to do anything about it -- makes no sense! Also, as a manager, when there's a customer complaint they typically come back around more than once but after that initial visit, he didn't check on us nor did he seem to care that our experience wasn't a good one. I'm really not a complainer but coming as a visitor from one developed country to another, you expect a certain level of service which definitely was not fulfilled at Aldina. We travelled 30 minutes by bus in the pouring rain to get here because of all the great reviews but unfortunately we didn't have the same positive experience the majority has seemed to have had here. I typically never rate this low but after the treatment we received, I couldn't give a good rating, regardless of the fact overall I enjoyed my food. I just wish that establishments could understand that service is just as important as the food being served and can make or break a situation. There are times I can recall where I've been to a restaurant where I didn't necessarily enjoy the food but gave a good rating because of the amazing service and actually went back to try something different on the menu. This goes to show that as a consumer we don't just pay for food but service as well. Time to step it up!

They have lovely food here. I was a big fan of the ceviche and the scallops. Very yummy. I'm also a fan of how beautiful it is- they do a wonderful job of presenting the food. I'd say it wasn't tooooo classy that they let us wait around for a while before taking our order and then reminding us that we needed to leave within 2 hours a few times... but hey, the food was lovely and beautiful, and we had a nice time. Their drinks are great too! I'd come again and just make sure to yell when I want to order. ;)

Finally made it to Andina! I took my lovely mum here after a harried redeye arrival from Heathrow (is there any other form?) and it really hit the spot for a leisurely cafe breakfast. After several cups of their own special Peruvian blend coffee (JOLT!), a bowl of quinoa porridge with fresh fruit syrups/summer fruits, and some sourdough toast with avocado and scrambled eggs we were fighting fit to take on the day. Quite delightful, actually. The service was great on a morning midweek. They have a lot more seating downstairs so if the top looks jammed, don't fret...do see the host. They also do a lot of things to takeaway including fresh squeezed juices. See the bar and get yours to go if in a rush. Andina -- now added to my Shoreditch breakfast options! Peruvian-style.

So far, I'm only qualified to review the breakfast, but it was so good, I'm going to go ahead anyway. We have a company team meeting every Thursday morning, and our default venue is always The Breakfast Club by Hoxton Square. I've been trying to get my colleagues to move around a bit more, although other places have been poor in comparison (barring Dishoom, which is excellent). Having tried Andina last week, it is now in my top three, and if it is this consistent on future visits, could even claim #1. Their 'full english' equivalent is some kind of pork belly offering, perfectly fried eggs, grilled tomatoes, lovely thin mushrooms (not the soggy English breakfast style) topped off with a side serving of avocado on sourdough toast. Mmmmmm. Their fresh juice and smoothy selection is also excellent. Just don't make the mistake my colleague made of ordering the quinoa porridge - she ended up being very jealous. So a great breakfast overall. I plan to go back for lunch or dinner soon.

In love with this place. I have come here for brunch, lunch and dinner several times, always with a new friend. And I leave happy every time! Recently for brunch we tried the Huevos Q'apachana, two poached eggs, spicy potato puree, spinach, chestnut mushrooms, Huancaina sauce. This is the perfect brunch dish. The puree is silky smooth, and the mushrooms are delicious. I am obsessed with Huancaina sauce after my travels in Peru. And Andina has Huancaina sauce in dishes all over the menu...they get it. I tried the Chicharron Sandwich - confit pork belly, soft bun, camote ketchup. Absolute comfort food. The pork belly was so tender, and the camote ketchup delicious. My friend really enjoyed the Picante de Huevos, as recommended by our waiter. This did not disappoint, especially with a tamal! From the lunch/dinner menu, I cannot recommend the corn cake & avocado enough - I could eat this every day. Once you taste it, you will know why. It is difficult to fault any dish on Andina's menu. Each one has different textures, and loads of flavour. Great cocktails and smoothies. Get a pisco sour! The only negative thing I have to say is that the chefs LOVE to top every dish with a mountain of raw red onion, which I really dislike so have to take off every time. I must try to remember to ask the waiter to exclude the mountain next time.

    - went there for breakfast at a Sunday morning (breakfast even until 4 pm if I remember well) - reservation recommended (very popular); however, if you are lucky there are free seats at the bar/kitchen (which is also very interesting) - offers a big variety of smoothies and fruit drinks - Peruvian breakfast and quinoa porridge were very tasty Conclusion: I would definitively come back to enjoy the Peruvian food again! Not only for breakfast!

Trout skewers in rocoto pepper: super-tasty. The greens (whatever they were?) were a pleasant surprise.

Preface: I was staying down the street and passed this a few times before venturing in, I don't have any special craving for Peruvian food, and I've been trained not to expect anything gourmet / crafty from it. Not that I have any hatred for it, I just don't seek it out. Anyhoo, credit must be given to the inviting look of the place thru the windows for convincing me to give this place a try. The interior is indeed cozy, clean, modern / rustic (the look of all the new architecture in Shoreditch, but lighter and less assuming), just had a good vibe overall. Staff was friendly and welcoming too. Well I'm so glad I stopped in - not once, but twice. It just became my go-to place when I wanted local lunch. Had the Green bean mixed salad both days. It's hard to find a good salad anywhere, and this one was simple, light and satisfying. When you can integrate radicchio and make it taste great, you get props from me. On one day I had the Quinoa Burger (w/ Kiwi Yogurt and Chili Mayo), and it was fine. It didn't really hold together as a patty, but it all tasted good. They get points for at least attempting a burger made out of Quinoa. The next day I had the Trout skewers in rocoto pepper, which was super-tasty. Fish was cooked perfectly. I really enjoyed the place overall, the finest lunch dining I had in London, and I was in town for two weeks.

Huevos Q'apachana, that potato purée is to die for!

I went here for brunch on a Sunday afternoon. The restaurant is located in the heart of Shoreditch. The decor outside and inside the place are very nicely decorated. Everything is based on a Peruvian theme, and it's got a very happy and festive vibe which I love! I ordered the Huevos Q'apachana. It comes with two poached eggs on top of a bed of delicious potato purée, with spinach and mushrooms. The portion is not big, but it was enough for me. I also had a Fuerza, which is a hot drink with quinoa, cinnamon, apple, milk, and maca. It's a great drink for a cold day, but it was a bit too sweet for my liking. The staff are very friendly, and the service was quite speedy. I would highly recommend Andina to anyone looking for a weekend brunch spot.

Pulpo Chancon - Ignore the tentacles and the slight outer chewiness. Nice grilled seafood flavors.

We didn't think we would have enough time to dine here during our culinary focused action packed trip. But it was conveniently around the corner from the Ham Yard hotel where we stayed and we strolled in late on a Saturday night after a long day of touring. The owner made some cocktail recommendations and I settled on the pisco sour and my husband had a spicy drink, I think it was the karay. Both were delicious. For the record, I am not typically a cocktail girl as they're often cloyingly sweet and not well balanced, but these drinks were spot on. The sea bass was delish and the tuna kind of what you'd expect, but solid as well if not overly inspired. I had a salmon entree and hubby had the grilled octopus, both were very good. We really wanted to try the "Andean mess" for dessert..we saw several pass on by to the neighboring table but we were quite full. I would definitely try upon return. In summary, the service and high quality fresh ingredients really make this place a great dining destination. The entrees are not quite as inspired as I would have expected which is why I didn't award the fourth star. But all in all, this Peruvian establishment has service that really cares and food that works well. I would definitely come back or try one of their other establishments.

Not just "hyped", dishoom deserves the recognition!…read more SERVICE Amazing service, easy to make reservations online, and easy to check in and get seated once your entire party has arrived. INSIDE Spacious, clean, and plenty of seating both upstairs and down. MENU For larger parties, they recommend their prefix menu which includes a various sampling of lots of delicious items. FOOD 10/10 I haven't eaten Indian food much, but was thoroughly impressed. From my mango lassi which was perfectly sweetened and tart to buttered buns, fried okra, black Dahl, garlic naan, and lamb skewers, everything was delicious. I esp loved the lamb skewers! We ordered a side of garlic naan with cheese which is basically a quesadilla and it was super cheesy and delicious as well. OVERALL Would def recommend Dishoom when visiting London. It'll definitely be a hit in your books!

The food was exceptional -- aroma, flavors, spice levels, portions; everything was perfect. While visiting London, a local friend invited me to Dishoom, knowing how much I love Indian cuisine. We arrived on a Sunday afternoon around 5PM, and the place was already packed. They don't take reservations for dinner unless you're a large group, but trust me, the wait is worth it. They have a fantastic bar where you can grab drinks while you wait for a table (they give you buzzers). I tried the Negroni and another tequila-based cocktail (sadly I can't remember the name), and both were phenomenal. Shared plates are definitely the way to go at Dishoom. We ordered the gunpowder potatoes (incredible), an appetizer with potatoes and pineapple (not my favorite; the pineapple threw me off), monkfish curry (amazing), and chicken curry. It was a lot of food for just two of us, but I couldn't stop eating. I seriously wanted to bottle up that sauce! The service was surprisingly impeccable, especially considering how busy they were. We ended up spending about £110 for an incredible dinner, and we nearly couldn't finish everything. Lastly, the ambiance! Inspired by Iranian cafes in India, the atmosphere at Dishoom is eclectic. I loved the dim lighting, unique decor, and the lively pace of the restaurant. Just go!
