Yes, looks can deceive.
Bowl of rice, beef, and soup, please!
Flavorful. And full.
I thought Koya Ko would hit the spot when I was craving a smaller meal in Victoria. I seemed about right when I glanced at the portion -- for just under £12, this better be *really* good. But, as I said above, looks can be deceiving. This meal was more filling and satisfying than most I've had thus far in London.
The Gyudon (beef over rice) was delicious and came with a bowl of soup on the side. I ended up pouring the soup over the beef and rice, which was a great move. Highly recommend. It's worth noting that the ginger on top is incredibly flavorful and felt a bit overpowering, but added a sourness the dish was lacking. Koya Ko is a great place to try while you're people-watching and enjoying the market hall. Cheers! read more
