When we walked in and opened the door on the left, we thought it was a small restaurant. Food was very good. Our issue was with the pacing. The server didn't ask us if we were sharing. My companion's dish came first. Had to wait for mine. And, there was an overall lack of polish in the staff. They asked us a few times to verify what we ordered. However, we enjoyed our meal. Other people around us seemed to have enjoyed theirs as well.

Nice clean restaurant with very fast responding staff. We had one of the sets and I can't really fault it much. Chicken and corn soup was the starter as it was quite often when I travelled China earlier in the year. My only comment would be that it's somewhat sweeter than the real thing, but then I remember that often Asian dishes are sweeter to suit a western population. Crispy pork, beef black bean and miso chicken were satisfactory. Prices are decent, especially for drinks.

The food was excellent, the service was top notch, and the owner is a gem. If and when we return to London we will definitely be back.

Hidden off one of the side-streets quite close to Earl's Court tube station, this place has some seriously good Sichuanese chinese food.

Their flavors for the most part were right, portions are small, and prices are high which contrasts for its norm, since this is street food in Singapore which would cost 3-6$ a plate. Would recommend a more Peranakan decor to make this place feel like Bugis in Singapore. Hainanese chicken rice- good chicken, soup was way too salty that it was nota drinkable at all. Rice was right flavor but wrong texture. Maybe the certain rice can't be found in UK. Seafood Chow fun- I was actually impressed with the chow fun part that charred part and the oily noodles that require high heat and high oil to make it that texture. this dish was good. Would highly recommend it. Chinese leaf- just dressed up Napa cabbage but well done. Salt and pepper shrimp were also not bad The hakkien mee was good but was a little sweeter than what I remembered from Singapore. Overall an ok place- If you've not had Singapore food before this is a good pricy intro to what's ahead.

Answer? I didn't. I didn't live before delivery. I've just been born. Life lesson #1: you can do all of this ONLINE. Baaaa-damn. My conquest tonight involved New Little House Chinese Restaurant, or apparently just Little House - and they did not disrupt my glorious dream of delivery. Tempted by the set dinner option for one (but dissuaded by how ultimately sad that sounds ordering,) I nearly indulged in the pre-packaged option of prawn crackers, beef with chilli & black bean sauce, mixed vegetable and egg fried rice, for... wait for it... £10. Seriously. Granted mixed vegetable what, I'm not sure. But £10? Wow. I instead opted for king prawns with Chinese mushrooms & bamboo shoots, and chicken ho fan in chilli & black bean sauce, which was my best spent £11 in quite some time. Packed with veggies and spice, both of these dishes were excellent. And yes, they were both all for me. Yum. While I certainly can't vouch for the ambiance of the venue, the kind folks at Little House called to confirm my order and had it at my door in 27 minutes. (Yes, I was counting. I was starving. I'm sure you understand). Overall, I am thoroughly impressed from first click to last bite. All's well that ends well.
