Very good Cantonese restaurant off Pall Mall. The food was good, as was the service and the ambiance. Overall a good experience but simply not five stars.

Outstanding food, presentation and service from a pretty discerning Chinese food critic, a.k.a. me! Yes the prices are high for Chinese but if you want a special meal in London with Peking duck / elevated Chinese cuisine then this is a must visit! The duck is of course carved table side and served on these adorable duck plates. The duck skin was so crispy, the meat was moist & the accompaniments were delightful. We came for dinner so unfortunately did not get to try much of the dim sum (which looked amazing on Insta)but there was a wonderful dim sum appetizer platter that I recommend trying to sample their AM offerings. What a wonderful way to enjoy our last evening in London.

Excellent find! I was pleasantly surprised to find authentic Peking Duck during my short visit to London craving Chinese cuisine! We were a party of 3, but due to concerns with Covid we booked their private room which is upstairs and more of a mezzanine style room as it opens to the main floor below. There is a price minimum though to book this room, you need to order up to £ 1,000...safe to say we couldn't finish everything but had a few days worth of awesome leftovers that still tasted good. Ginger scallion lobster wasn't as authentic, was a bit bland. Go with the Peking duck! They carve it up right in front of you. I will be back again for sure next time!

The best Peking duck in London is here! The imperial treasure group has restaurants throughout the world, others with Michelin stars, so you can expect fine dining here. The ducks have to be ordered 24 hours in advance and are £100 per duck. Each duck is enough to feed ~4 people. Definitely come a group of 4 or larger so you can have room for other food on the menu. My personal favorite was the poached Chinese cabbage cooked in chicken broth. The broth was phenomenal. The picture doesn't look like much, but do order before you judge!

Absolutely loved this place. The Peking duck was as advertised and absolutely perfect. Crisp skin with little to no excess fat and the meat moist and delicious. I wish I'd have taken pictures of the rest but was way too excited to eat. Had the scallops, fried rice and Singapore noodles too and everything was really good. A lot of places out too much curry into the Singapore noodles which is why I usually don't like it. But it was super subtle here and the noodles were cooked to perfection! The interior is supper cosy and warm too. Definitely recommend!

The only downside to the Peking duck was how they prepared the rest of the duck, which was stir fried salt and pepper style.

After downing a Carrie Bradshaw-style cocktail at the chill subterranean Friendly Society (review:…read morehttps://yelp.to/4zJuovAN4J), Jamie W. and I were way too intimidated to face the manly crowd in front of Compton's. We went in the opposite direction on Rupert Street and found this inviting courtyard bar. It's marketed as a gay bar but... The clientele was more mixed than gay. Hey, it wasn't a big deal to us. Especially as we sauntered to the bar bathed in pink and royal blue dayglow. Boys bellying up to the bar. Oh yeah, we home. The print was really small in their comprehensive cocktail menu, but that didn't stop us from ordering more libations. Stop judging us. Jamie went for the £12.50 Margarita, and I continued my Cosmopolitan streak with their £12 one (photo: https://yelp.to/RsyQWeRD5R). We went back into the courtyard to find a table. The leafy terrace and strings of white light were quite inviting, and we ended up hanging out in this sanctuary until they closed at 11PM. Cool. It gets dull quickly especially right before they close so be prepared to watch for open seats or stand, which is not the worse so you can dance a bit to the great playlist.
