Such a fun, unique, and creative speakeasy bar! Drinks are expensive, and a bit small, but really tasty and they all come in the most unique cups! I love the transit theme, so fun!
This place is literally perfect! I'm a huge fry connoisseur and the triple fried chips. Here are amazing! There's so much level of thought and detail from top to bottom, from the way you enter the restaurant and travel back through time to the creation of the menu items. This place takes experiential to the next level! We were actually just looking for somewhere to have drinks while we waited to be seated for dinner, and honestly this place surpassed our dinner. We ordered almost every appetizer on the menu and there wasn't a miss! I will definitely go back and recommend anyone that travels to London to check this place out! The decor and the staff helped to embody the experience of this era so effortlessly. It honestly feels like another world to be there.
I had a lot of high hopes when we came to the Cahoots Underground in Soho. Located in an old London underground station underneath Kingly Court, which also served as an air raid shelter, the vibes and design are all there for a wicked cool spot. The look feels straight out of the 1940s with its style of lampshades, mismatched chairs and seating, knick-knacks, and hangings. Going down the numerous flights of stairs to where the signs tell you to go downstairs for tickets really hypes things up for what you hope will be excellent cocktails and buoyant ambiance. Perhaps it was that I had been going 40 hours without sleep by that point, or maybe I had ordered the wrong drinks, or perhaps they were a little short-staffed for a Wednesday evening. The experience fell short of the expectations that I had seen on Instagram and elsewhere. While the location was certainly cool and the vibes were great, and we did book a reservation, we didn't have one of the tables inside the life-size Tube carriage, which would have been cool. Where we sat was still in the corner and allowed for taking in the energy, but I was let down by the service, which felt delayed, and wasn't checked up on enough in between drinks. I was on the fence about ordering food, but because it took a few minutes to take the order, receive the drinks, and finally flag one of the staff members to order another round, I declined. Cocktail-wise was ok. Outside of the recipes on paper and the presentation of the cocktail, which was impressive, but I didn't feel the magic when I sipped on either of my orders. The Winston Churchill was gin-based, served in a large ceramic Winston Churchill sculpted container, but tasted way heavy on the citrus between the guava, citrus essence, and the tropical fassionalo syrup. The drink would be more spritz from the pink grapefruit soda with a touch more sweetness from the cherry liqueur, but it didn't set well. It was quite acidic. The Prohibition Lantern was actually served in a lantern, which was cool. I will give them that, it was wicked cool. However, it took a minute to remove the glass with the cocktail in it from the lantern apparatus while trying not to spill it. Flavor-wise, it was interesting between the mango-chipotle-milk-washed tequila, cachaça, Cointreau, and Ancho Reyes Verde, but I didn't feel the mixture meshed well for a cocktail. Overall, the cocktails were pricey, the equivalent of what I have had back home if I were going to Palm Beach Island. Which wouldn't be a big deal if the experience were better, but it was a letdown, unfortunately. I really wanted to like this place, but unfortunately, it didn't meet the hype from what I saw online.
Loved this speakeasy bar. We stumbled upon it while checking out the Borough Market. It was such a cute place! The service was awesome! We walked in and the adventure began. The drinks were great.
By far the BESTTTT drinks we had in london. so many fun themes with each drink. inside is so fun and decorated. I've seen debates online over this but as far as I could tell the dress code went from semi casual to fancy. We dressed up for fun. The Elizabeth drink was my favorite out of all the ones we had. Really unique but well done taste. The service was attentive as well and super kind. An actor went around as well playing games with people which was fun to watch. (he didn't come to our table). I wish there were more bars like this. Seriously such a good experience. Live singing as well!
My friend suggested Cahoots Bar for some drinks on a weeknight and it was sucha great recommendation! Cahoots is a 1940s-themed bar located in the heart of London's Soho. It is made up of three spaces: The Underground, Ticket Hall & Signal Station, that allows you to step back in time and enjoy each quirky space. It is definitely a very unique speakeasy I've ever been to! They have a wide range of drinks, all of them following the underground theme. My friend and I wanted to try tequila based cocktails. My friend ordered a Paloma and I tried a Perfetto which was tequila with coffee liqueur and popcorn foam. It was a bit sweet because of the foam but overall I really enjoyed my drink! Definitely give Cahoots a try for its unique twist on drinks and a good speakeasy experience.
Happened to be walking by and recognized Cahoots immediately from a TikTok I had seen! It was about 3 PM, and we were able to walk in without a reservation. I'm so glad it worked out because this was easily one of the coolest bars I've ever been to! You are truly transported to another time. This is everything a speakeasy should be. Nestled under a bridge just up from the iconic Borough Market, this was the perfect end to an afternoon. I also had 2 of the best drinks I've ever had. We started off with When Life Gives You Maurice (an adorable cat character they've created), served in a cat teapot with teacups. The drink inside is an earl grey tea with sherbet and a bunch of other stuff - so delicious and refreshing! I also ordered the Winston Churchill, served in an iconic bust mug. This one was a Guava/Gin concoction topped with Grapefruit soda. I was excited to buy one of the mugs, but unfortunately they were all out, so I just got a few of their enamel pins instead, which made for a great souvenir. I can't wait to come back here and to send everyone I know here on their trips to London! They've done such a great job of creating an all-around experience from the entrance to the service, and everything in between without it feeling too kitschy.
Obsessed! So glad I found this place on Instagram. First off, it's in an adorable area of London with lots of cute restaurants. Secondly, it's just such a cool spot, you really do feel like you stepped back in time! It's so IG/Tik Tok friendly. Drinks were so fun, the chicken sandwich we ordered was very good too. Highly recommend if you're in London. It's almost like a museum / restaurant all in one. I wish the speak easy train cocktail bar was open when we were there! Next time!
It's a Great themed bar with drinks that transport you to the 1940s throughout both its rather interesting sections. One of them being in a separate building, just outside of the main front Ticket Hall. We had walked from Liberty London after exploring Soho, Chinatown, and Carnaby Street and wanted to rest our weary feet. Luckily, we had made it just in time to at their 5pm opening of their underground bar, located downstairs in another building just outside of the ticket hall (right at one of the Kingly Court exits). We were told to wait and were offered water while we waited inside from the rain. We were soon deceding downstairs a subway station that becomes a dark, warm, homey feeling bar. The menu is a newspaper as everyone is dressed in the attire or inspired attire of the 1940s. It was quiet when we came and bustling when we left. The drinks were on the more expensive side, but I can understand in a place like this.They also have a few drinks that are non-alcoholic, but the menu is rather small on that front. My drink was served in a chipped cup of who I'm guessing is the person the drink is modeled after: Vera Lynn. It was easy and sweet, and I would've enjoyed another cocktail or come back for one of thier events (escape room, trivia night) if it weren't for our tight schedule. We were never rushed, had delicious drinks, with a great theme, and fun ambiance. Overall, it was a fantastic experience! I was even allowed to take the newspaper menu and bought one of their fun pins from their merchandise line (it looks like a little ticket!). I'll be here again if I find myself in London, thanks for the fun, Cahoots!
We didn't have a reservation, but were seated within 5mins. The walk down to the "train station" felt very authentic. There were so many photo opportunities, I didn't make it all the way down for quite some time lol We were greeted by a very jolly guy who was excited to show us around, once we told him it was our first time here. The place was booming! Every table was taken, except for maybe 2 or 3. The walls are decorated to give you that 1940's feel & the music was playing classics from then as well. The menus were news papers & fuuuuull of a variety of choices. It takes a while to read through, but worth it. I ordered the tart daiquiri, which was pretty boozy but really good. & the Seven Day Wonder, which was tequila based. That was pretty sweet, but still really good. Our server, Joe was so funny! His English wasn't the best & he spoke very fast, but he was actually really funny!
Really fun WW2 themed cocktail bar! The staff go all out, from the dress to the decor to the menu - every little detail was thoroughly on theme. Even the DJ was mixing old 90s R&B classics in a funky, jazzy way. The drinks were excellent too, overall would highly recommend this place.
My friends and I had an extremely disappointing experience when we were denied entry to a table we booked months in advance, simply because one of us was wearing trainers (smart casual white plain and clean trainers). Needless to say that all of us were "well-presented" as suggested on the website. The man at the door was rude and dismissive, scanning our outfits and sarcastically asking, "Didn't you look at our website?" Nowhere on the website or in the booking confirmation does it mention a dress code prohibiting trainers (see attached screenshot). When we showed him the website, clearly proving there was no mention of footwear requirements, he just stared at us blankly without saying a word. His attitude was appalling. We've been regular patrons in the past, but after this disgraceful treatment, we won't be returning.
What a lot of fun we had here. We celebrated a birthday at this speakeasy themed bar based on a 1946 British train station. The entrance and staff were done up very well. The vibes inside from the furnishings to the menu were all post WW2 celebration themed and set the tone. We had a few rounds of drinks that were WW2 and train themed. The drinks involved various people from that timeframe. Several of the drinks were to be shared by 2 people and all were pretty pricey. I can drink pretty much anything so I ordered the drinks based on the unique containers they were served in. Our server said all the drinks on the menu were served with the apparatus they showed in the menu. When my companions tried ordering the shareable "Is it a pot of Mustard" drink they were told the bar didn't have that container. Hmmmm... Later I ordered the "Operation: Top Up" so I could get it served in the Jerry Can pictured in the menu and the drink just came in a boring glass. When I asked where the Jerry Can part of the drink was, she said unfortunately prior patrons had stolen them so they didn't have the Jerry Cans anymore. HELLO? That is the reason I ordered the drink! Didn't she just tell me the drinks came as pictured? Why didn't she inform me that it would be served without the prop? I certainly would have changed my order if she had done so. Other than several of the drinks not having props available, the drinks were pretty well done and hit the spot of the themed bar. With the bill being higher than expected, I would recommend coming here for only one drink and make sure you ask if your drink will have the prop as pictured in the menu. read more

Pretty cool place; theme, decor and drinks. We went here for my sister's birthday and there was a guy standing outside, dressed up like someone from back in the day. He seemed like the hostess and was the one who allowed you to enter if you have a reservation. Going in, it's like you're heading to the train station or subway. The drinks were good, pricy though, but still a pretty cool experience. read more

Must try: "Enemy of the State" - wasabi-watermelon tequila cocktail TLDR; An absolute must for interesting cocktail lovers The drinks - Cahoots has the most interesting cocktail menu I've ever seen. They do a great job breaking up the menu by themes - fruity, oily, even milky cocktails. Each one we tried was delicious and extremely well balanced. Vibes - This completely unique cocktail bar takes you underground to a top-to-bottom themed abandoned subway station in old-time London. The music and energy was exciting but not too loud to have friendly conversation. The staff was friendly and prompt for UK service. Even their shots come in a themed railcar for us to enjoy. I'm recommending this place as a must-go for all my imbibing London visitors. read more

What a fun spot! Loved the 1940's memorabilia and vibe...including the live music that was happening the night we were there. Drinks are a tad on the pricey side, but there is a time limit of how long you can stay (it was 2 hours the evening we visited), so you'll probably not manage to run up a massive bar bill anyway. (Or maybe you will, in which case, cheers to you!) But, the cocktails are all beautiful and tasty, and it's a fun spot to catch up with friends. Enjoy!! read more

We went to the Cahoots Underground. It is a 1940s-themed bar, offering illicit cocktails and rations. There was a really nice and friendly host, manning the entrance. He was checking everyone's reservation, and making sure the table for each guest group is ready, before sending a group down. Once our table was ready, a staff escorted us down, and to our table. The area was much larger than I expected it to be. Our table was inside the vintage train carriage! It was awesome! You are encouraged to dress up in the 1940s-ish attire for extra fun, but not mandatory. We got some complimentary popcorn in a can of apple sauce, as we ordered some fun drinks. We ordered Vera Lynn, Marilyn Monroe, Cahooch Sour. The presentation was great, and the drinks were strong and tasty. I wanted to try more drinks, since they were all so interesting, but we were a bit too tired since it was our first day in London, getting there on red eye flight. But we had so much fun!!! I am sure we will go back the next time we visit London! read more
Food: The bar bites were fantastic Drinks: Unique and mostly yummy Service: Super friendly and played the part Ambiance: Unreal how well it was done Price: Above average but worth it for the ambiance Overall, a fantastic experience. We made a reservation online several weeks in advance. Make sure when you make your reservation that you request the underground as there is an above ground bar. Once we arrived, we checked in at the front and we're told that we had to be on time as we were early. Then we came back and they checked us in and brought us downstairs to the lovely Marcel who played the part of a post-World war II mater d very well. We were then brought to a table which all the tables are a mixed smorgasbord of thrift store chic. The inside is decorated to perfection of this speakeasy hidden away rail car fanfare. We ordered some of the popular cocktails off the menu such as the Winston Churchill and the milk boy cocktail. I would say out the drinks that I ordered they were all very delish. Although because there's a lot of different mixed alcohols, I would say maybe stick with one or two types. You can always switch to a regular cocktail at any time. At the end, I just got a regular gin and soda. The food was phenomenal even though it was just barbites. The arancini were cheesy and delicious. The croquettes, although not traditional croquettes by the Latin standard were very good. The only thing I would say is that for the Winston Churchill beverage it was mostly ice with very little liquid in it. It. I would maybe ease up on the ice on that drink. Overall, the 2 hours flew by and the staff was super friendly and helpful and played their roles to a tee. If I return to town I would absolutely book this experience again. read more
This place is awesome. You need a reservation ( can make it online ) . There is a cancellation fee if you don't show up One of my favorite places in London . Amazing service since the moment you walk in the door . They remember everything and made my boyfriend feel very special. Great drinks with awesome Presentation. We sat in the trains ise it was so cute you really feel like you are in a train , the side of the train station is awesome . They were lambing Greta music . They of everything . Even in the bathrooms there is decorations. A must go in London for sure . Hopefully one day I can go back. read more

A hidden gem in SoHo! The staff, decor and drinks were superb! We sat at the bar and Andre took care of us. He had excellent recommendations based on our flavor profiles and was very kind and friendly. Would definitely come back! read more

We came at 10pm which was an hour before closing. Fortunate for us, they let us in since a table had just opened up. We were seated in the subway car, which is modeled off what the trains used to be like back in the 1930s. I absolutely loved the ambiance here especially with the live blues/jazz music. I ordered dodging the bulleit, which is the strongest cocktail I've had in London albeit most cocktails here are weak and seem to have little to no alcohol. Service here was a bit slow at the end when we wanted the bill, otherwise everything else was great! One interesting fact is that the entrance to the bar is actually an original subway entrance that has been remodeled. read more

Had an amazing time and our server was so accommodating and entertaining as well! Definitely wished we would've found this place earlier on our trip. I recommend anyone who wants to have some great drinks as well as good vibes at this place. Cheers and we'll be back in the future! read more
I loved my experience at Cahoots Bar! Go to the one underground because you'll have a more fun experience as it depicts "Underground" as a bar. The drinks here were amazing and I had so much fun because of the atmosphere. Their menu is on a newspaper and have delicious cocktails. They also give you a cup of popcorn as a snack, that goes well with all the drinks! I definitely recommend this bar for a cool experience in London! I would make a reservation because some people had to wait over an hour to get in but we got lucky and got in in 10 minutes. read more
