No. Absolutely not. The food was purely horrible and definitely should not be calling itself "Asian food" in any way. Honestly, I am not a picky person, and when I don't like the food served, that is a big problem. My dad and I came here and ordered the Shanghai Chicken Noodles, Shanghai Aubergine Noodles, Beef and Kimchi Gyoza, Crispy Duck Spring Roll. This place not only serves horrible food, but it is also extremely overpriced. Shanghai Chicken Noodles- The noodles were not noodles, but were udon. The udon was cooked okay, however, was obviously frozen before. The whole dish just looked very unappetizing. Although the flavoring of this dish was actually not horrible, it wasn't great either. It was ground chicken dunked in a sauce with some cucumber and udon. Shanghai Aubergine Noodles- This was the worst thing I have ever tasted in a long time. I had no idea what I was getting myself into, so I ordered this. The eggplant was appalling. Why was it sour? The noodles in this dish were even worse. Not only were they frozen, but they were also improperly cooked and hard. This dish genuinely made me want to barf. You could not pay me to eat this. Beef and Kimchi Gyoza- The gyoza was crispy and hard on the outside which I actually enjoyed. The inside was not horrible! The beef was okay, but the kimchi flavors did not come through as much as I wanted it too. Sadly, it tasted frozen. Crispy Duck Spring Roll- The outside of this was crispy while the inside was soft in a weird way. It certainly had duck flavor, but it was like ground duck? There was no meat texture to it, but just a squishy filling flavored like duck. After experiencing this, I would not ever come back to the restaurant. The noodles are not good and frozen. 10/10 would never come back ever again.

I cannot believe they're good! I found Ping Pong by yelp! They are Chinese foods restaurants in the area still open after 10pm at night. Not many choices for us! We went to Ping Pong at around 10pm. They have a few tables almost finished. We are the only table by the time we seated. The waitresses are very attentive and nice! We ordered a lot of food for total 12 people. The food was fast and unexpected delicious. We ended up come back again the next day just because we want to try more items they have on the menu. The menu has less items then most of the Chinese restaurants. But who care! I think a restaurant doesn't have to offer everything. They can offer less items but just make it the best! I'll come back next time when I come to London again for their good services and good food.

The St. Katherine Docks is a place with a nice view of boats and an area of water. It's relaxing and a great place for lunch! My party and I went to Ping Pong to introduce Dim Sum to our friend who had never had it yet. We ordered some ribs, bao, wontons and other delicious foods and loaded our table. We also got some drinks as well which I will talk about in a bit. The food we ordered was delicious! The ribs were nice and sweet and the dim sum was cooked greatly! However, I can definitely say that Ping Pong is a bit overpriced for the amount of portions they're serving. It ate a great amount of my money and my friend's money as well. The quality was great, quantity was lacking. My friend ordered a classic Tsing Tao beer which he downed in an instant. It's a great tasting beer that is easy on the stomach. I ordered the 47 Drunken Monkeys cocktail which contained "monkey 47 gin, pedrino sherry & tonic spritz and pink grapefruit, served with fresh lavender and a sphere of smoked ice" (https://www.pingpongdimsum.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/09/DimSum_and_Drinks_Menu_19_20.pdf) That drink was delicious and I would order again, if it were not that pricey.

OK chain of Chinese restaurants serving a variety of slightly overpriced yet tasty dishes. Popular with the younger generation who seem to have large disposable incomes.  Slightly odd that noodles were 'off' when we visited on a Friday night but other than that would probably go back again when my next salary comes in!

My wife and I were craving Chinese food for lunch near the Tower of London and this restaurant was the closest that had the best ratings on Yelp. The restaurant was busy but we were seated quickly and our server explained how to order from the menu. They offered several lunch specials, a la cart items and sharing for two as well as fixed price meals. They also have a variety of drinks, including wine and beer and have several items for dessert. You simply fill out the order form and submit it to your server. My wife and I ordered the hot & sour chicken soup and the Sichuan Dim Sum lunch special. My wife also ordered a side of steamed broccoli. The food tasted amazing and the service was on point. I will definitely come here again. #londonchinesefood #londondimsum

Was very much looking forward to some good food after watching the London Marathon. This place was very disappointing. Our waiter came, took our order and then disappeared. We said after the marathon we were just drinking water to hydrate and he brought a tiny carafe and two glasses. He never returned to refill the carafe and I looked around at parties around us, of similar size, with large carafes. I was looking forward to saying something when he returned to our table but he never did! No word that he was going on break or there was a change of wait staff. Eventually, we waited and had to ask a waitress if she could help with our take away and bill. As we walked out we found our waiter sitting at the bar having a pint with a friend. Do not recommend this place. Check out the other restaurants in the area instead.

The food was just okay. The table was too small for two people, and your seat is too close to the next table that you can actually hear what are they talking. The food was served fast but then took 30mins for them to bring us a check. We even asked 4 different servers for a check wouldnt recommend it if you are in hurry. The iced tea selection is good though.

An interesting to place to visit at least once if you're in London for a long time. Go on a Friday when there's an International Food market.

Sundays only from some time in the morning until 5pm when the market shuts down. What you will find is a little taste of Asia in the best possible way. Hand-stretched flour noodles (la-mian) made right there before your very eyes, boiled, then served in the broth and meat accompaniments of your choosing. I had one with minced pork and 'special sauce' (who doesn't like special sauce?) and it was really good. The noodles were (obviously) really fresh, the broth was decent, and the pork bits salty and flavourful. AND all for about £5 a bowl. They also have chicken, roast pork, chilli tripe, and all kinds of available versions in addtion to some wok-fried items and really tasty dim sum. The only dim sum I tried was char siew bao, and it was legit (£1.50 for two). Plus they have a plastic table-clothed table for a few people (can maybe fit about 8 or so people) and some cheap plastic stools to sit on, so it is one of the few places along the brick lane market where you can actually sit down to eat. So authentic in its practicality and function that it makes me smile. This is also a great stall because you can stare at the guy making noodles, which is a fun show in itself. He's got skills.

** IMPORTANT NOTE: I think these guys go on holidays for 3-4 months at the beginning of the year,…read moreso don't freak out like I did when I kept visiting Brick Lane every Sunday hoping to catch them! Hopefully they'll be back soon :( ** I've been extremely picky about Chinese food since arriving in London, but luckily, this little La Mian stall under the bridge at Brick Lane has got it right! Fresh hand pulled noodles (la mian), swimming in a bowl of broth with your choice of roast duck, chicken, minced pork, and a few other variations. They also serve up other small dim sum items, such as pork buns, shrimp dumplings (har gow), pork dumplings (shiu mai), spring rolls, etc. I've tried their roast chicken leg, which is very good. The broth that they use is a mixture of soy, chicken (possibly beef) bouillon stock powder, plus a few other things. I think the broth could be better, but for the quantity I get, and by London standards - there's not much else to complain about! I've also had their tan tan noodles, which came with 5 or 6 pork shu mai. The shu mai was alright, I don't think they make this, and it was in a spicy peanutty soup. I've had proper tan tan noodles before, and this kind of missed the mark. Tasty in general, yes.. but doesn't really resonate a true bowl of tan tan noodles. i think I'm just gonna stick with normal noodles in a basic broth + meat! As for seating, there's a little table with a few small stools, but good luck getting a seat unless you're on your own! There's also a huge jar of chili oil on the table too, so don't forget to drizzle some over your noodles before taking off. The cost is very reasonable, especially for the quantity that you get. I think it runs you anywhere from £5.50-£7 per bowl, and even though they don't look THAT big - don't let it deceive you, as you will literally have to roll away. In Chinatown, a crappy bowl of noodles will cost you about £6, plus their "discretionary" (translation: mandatory) service charge. However, be prepared to wait for your food! Its awesome watching the noodle man do his thang, but with everyone standing around watching, its hard to figure out where to queue, and if people are even waiting in the queue. I believe this is a 2-man show, and while I get that they are popular and I'm sure they're popping out as many orders as they can - we waited 45 minutes for 4 bowls of noodles, which is a bit ridiculous. I think if they had a 3rd person in there, it would really speed things up. In any case though, if you have a lazy Sunday, get in line :)

Chef Daren Liew who was previously an executive sous chef with the Hakkasan Group has definitely brought an elevated version of authentic cantonese food to the London restaurant scene. I came here for dinner a few days ago. At dinner they serve a trio of dim sum (dim sum symphony) with other classic cantonese dishes while at lunch it's a full dim sum menu. We ordered: - Peking duck: Traditionally not a dish in the cantonese cuisine, I hesitated to order Peking duck at a Cantonese restaurant as it's usually cooked in cantonese roast duck style rather than real Beijing style. To my surprise, this the best Peking duck I've had outside of China. The duck is carved right in front of you (only took a few minutes) in two ways: crispy skin only and meat with skin, just like how it's served in Beijing. On the side, there are traditional dipping sauce and toppings (shards of green onion, cucumber) and a few more creative toppings (pomelo pulp, peanut sauce, etc). I ate the skin with sugar first, it was perfectly crispy and extremely satisfying. We devoured the rest of the duck by making little duck wraps and the only regret was that we only ordered the half duck rather than the whole! - Dim sum symphony: beautifully presented trio of dumplings with prawn, lobster and crab fillings. They looked delicate but was full of flavours. - Baby bok choy: to balance the meal with a bit of green, we ordered sautéed baby bok choy with garlic. It was fresh and tasty. - Seafood vermicelli: this is the only disappointment of the meal (hence minus 1 star). I love vermicelli, but the noodle we had was simply too dry that we couldn't even finish the plate. Overall I am a big fan of this place and the peking duck in particular. The service was friendly and efficient, and the environment is very elegant. I'd definitely come back to have a whole duck next time!
