SEP2024 Cool little spot to land for a view and people watching. The bartender was chill and helpful with any questions. They had a taco truck also in the parking lot but we had plans for food with friends already as it was. We were able to grab a few drinks to start the day and banter with some locals. We also watched many people run around the lake with gusto that we didn't have around that time in the morning. Not on vacation anyway. We'd certainly swing by again for a spell or to end the night if in the area.

All the qualities of a great dive bar! Old school vibe, great tunes, cool staff and cash only. Oh and a cool view of the lake across the street. No pretentiousness here

Great old school vibe. Needs a deep cleaning . But whatever, it's a dive bar. Cash only. I'm a Denver Native from the neighborhood who has forever stopped by in the early evenings or after Broncos Games for a cold one. Recently , there is this one woman Bartendar who is extremely rude, hateful and harsh with all patrons. How can any business owner allow this behavior from an employee ?! Even after numerous patrons complained in a single night? Unbelievable!? Spend your money 2 blocks down at skyline bar, or Edgewater INN or the edgewater beer garden or anywhere else but LAKE VIEW LOUNGE. I'll meet you there!! . No human deserves this nonsense. CHEERS!!!

The only reason I come here is because they remain a true dive bar, no yuppies please. Lakeview never sell out

Everyone needs a reliable dive bar in their lives. At least, that's my opinion, man. Since I moved to Denver last year, I've driven by Lakeview Lounge at least 50 times. Joking around, we've said in conversations that we have to go here at least once. For goodness sake, they open at 7am every day! With the impending quarantine on the horizon and a good friend in town who loves dive bars, the boys decided to end the night here. You either get it or you don't. That's really what dives are all about. Drafts of Coors Banquet at $3.50, served in a giant glass. At least 20 ounces! Jukebox playing classic Beatles rarities, Dire Straits, and The Doors. Old leather booths (with a few rips and tears) that make you feel like the king and queen you really are. Two female bartenders hustling all night. Pouring drinks, bussing tables, washing glasses, etc. Neon and vintage signage throughout the entire bar. Bathrooms are cramped and could use a remodel. In my opinion, Lakeview Lounge is a semi-magical place. And as the name suggests, the patio boasts a fine view of Sloan's Lake. It's not for everyone, and that's damn okay.

I love a good dive bar, but this cash only spot is trash. I've been here multiple times wanting to like this place but multiple times I've had bad service or weird/bad customer interactions. If you enjoy a dive check it out, a lot of people seem to like it, but this place sucks in my opinion...

Love this cash-only neighborhood gem with a view of Sloans Lake. Drinks are cheap and they have a juke box. A few pool tables too!

You want wine or cocktails? Gluten free? They've got that too. Old parking lot is now an expanded patio so that's chill. A nice area for the kids to run around too. Inside is where it's at either at the bar or in the two section of the restaurant. If you get a window seat you can people watch on Tennyson AND be a part of the taproom action! It's called ambiance sweety. Nifty. Honestly the staff is great. Special shout out for Chase and Lauren. Lots of personality and friendly. Good service and the food is quick. Drinks are always quick but sometimes during really busy times food takes a second. GOOD. Please make my pizza with love and affection. Lot of locals here and people from all around town stopping in who know what's good. A gem of north Denver for sure. Hands down. A little something for everyone. A great option for young families on a warmer day…read more I stopped by Edgewater Beer Garden with some friends with the intention of enjoying a seemingly warmer Denver winter day, and we had no trouble finding seating on the patio. Maybe we were just brave, but with blankets and the outdoor heaters the space served well for a small get together. The inside, however, was PACKED. Was it something in the air that influenced every young family West of Denver to crave local brews and fried food options? Or is this just the typical crowd for this establishment? Either way, I don't believe myself to be the target market for this location. After a few hours, the children's birthday party and other large family gatherings occupying the warm interiors finally disappeared, and we were able to enjoy all the splendors of their heated former firehouse. The staff who was wandering the facilities to take empty trays and glasses from tables were exceptionally nice, the food options were as plentiful as the variety on tap, and the patio's ambience was exactly what we needed. Ticked all the boxes you'd expect of a suburban beer hall. Overall, not really my scene, as I don't have a golden doodle or a curious toddler, but if that sounds like an apt description for the company you keep, you'll enjoy this spot immensely.
