I will try to make this short, but thre was so much…read more First I was tild by my Option who refeffed me that it was free as my Health ins would cover Caterac surg, Which was partially true. It did not cover tge "special drops for eyes" about $100.00. Also didn't cover surgery center-$300 I went at my eye drs recommenadation. At my 3 or 4th visit Surgeon said because my astigmatism in both eyes a reg surg would not give me the result (no glasses) but for $1300 per lense I could get a toric lense (not covered by ins) implanted which corrects that.All had to be paid up front. I am retired on ssi and not a lot of extra money----but I said since I am only going to do this ONE time ok.After about a month both eyes were done With multiple eye dr appts copay is for specialist for eye drs. Anyway I did all this because I figured if no longer need flasses.... Long story short I went fo glasses my opt gave a script for driving glasses and needed reading glasses. This was not what I signed up for. I tried it-as I had no choice, but went back and told him-I could not my computer with either. Finally I went back to my optom and told I was NOT HAPPY & had to go back to Bifocals. He had a hard time fitting me and even worse his office didn't order them right for 3 trys. When I told him how unhappy I was his snwer was "Well, it; was surgery. You can't gaurantee results! i was ANGRY. I went then went to a new Opt who explained That I could see near and far but not mid range and because they put he toric lens in that will never change. He was able to fit me with bi-focals.I see ok with them. But now I had to pay exam AGAIN since my insur allowance was used. I HAD TO PAY FOR ANOTHER PAIR OF GLASSES! i KNOW THIS WILL NOT BE EVERYONES RESULT, but ask questions so hopefully you knw what you wil be getting into. I would not have gotten the"Premiuum" lenses had I known. Good luck

In the waiting room I hear someone…read moregoing on loudly in English and Spanish about how they dislike poor people asking them for money and people on welfare. I personally felt she was probably racist but felt safer deflecting onto poor people. Then when I walk past all the staff to see the doctor everyone suddenly became silent which felt odd and uncomfortable. The doctor seemed rude and somewhat rushing me almost as if I was just an object and she didn't care but was forcing herself to stay professional it seemed. Then when selecting my glasses another woman working, noticeably louder than her normal conversation voice, announces three times that I have United Healthcare. The second time I acknowledged I was on it and I can pay whatever extra fee that I have to and she still loudly and unnecessarily announced it a 3rd time in an attempt to embarrass or humiliate me or poor shame me I suspect. Other than that they do their job correctly if you can handle the mental abuse. The optometrist also put on a black face mask before my eye exam and wore it throughout the entire exam. Covid is over so I wondered if she did that for all of her patients or just the Black ones.

HATE having my eyes examined, and Robert made the experience absolutely painless. He, himself, was an absolute delight, and I learned a lot about vision and eyes from him. I can't say the exam was a delight -- but that is because of ME and my issues, and certainly not him. :) His prices are reasonable, his service is superior, he accepts almost all insurances, and he absolutely takes the " unpleasantness" out of the experience. I recommend the exam he offers where he takes a digital image of the inside of your eye for $35 and emails you the image. Well worth the $$, and a unique, cutting edge experience. Not having to have eyes dilated is a definite boon!
