Just have to say was very impressed with the staff and my overall experience. Had been experiencing a great deal of pain and rarely get a day off work. Just so happens on my day off I called them at the start of the day and was able to get in 15 minutes later due to a cancellation of the same procedure I needed. I had a wonderful experience at Lakeview Endodontics today. I had to have a emergency extraction today. The staff Susan, Cely, and Jenny were all amazing. Dr. Cheng is the man!!! I realize my circumstance was short notice and out of what you guys typically do. I can not express my gratituted enough for squeezing me in and taking great care of me. Dr. Cheng gave me a buzz a little later to check in after I got settled in to see how I was doing. I appreciated the extra care and concern. This establishment rocks! Keep up the excellent work! Dr. Van is amazing. The staff and her assistants on both of my treatment visits were outstanding, friendly, and professional. The office itself is comfortable and very clean. The root canal procedure itself was largely pain-free (which is saying something since I am a terrible patient in a dentist's chair, and have a very low tolerance of pain). Dr. Van and her assistants took the time to explain the procedure, and to answer all my questions thoroughly. Scheduling was easy and convenient. This was the best dental experience i've ever had, and i don't say that lightly. I was in need of an emergency root canal and was very apprehensive about who could help me. I had some bad experiences in the past (dentists lying to me or being shady about the payments and ordering more services than needed). Dr. Mary Roman was my saving grace! She was so good and made me feel so relaxed that i even fell peacefully asleep during the procedure. She made me feel comfortable and educated me on all of the things i would need to do after my appointment. I was in such severe pain before the visit and felt amazing afterwards. As a physician, I often have a lot of questions when I have an appointment with another clinician and I'm the patient. Dr Van has been phenomenal at answering all of my questions and making me feel as comfortable as possible before anything she does. Furthermore, her office staff, from the front desk to her technicians, have always been kind and professional for all of my appointments. I recently had a root canal performed by Dr Van. I can be a big baby when it comes to my teeth and I was seriously amazed how well she numbed up my tooth and how painless the procedure was for me. She used a new technology called the GentleWave. I'm sure everyone is different, and it must depend on the condition of the tooth and where it's located, but it's been a couple weeks and seriously, I had absolutely NO discomfort after the procedure. I was crazy relieved and thrilled that I found an endodontist with the patience and sensitivity to put up with my dental neurosis and the skill, team and technology to keep me comfortable. I had a root canal today. Its a stressful process in general. I had a VERY positive experience with Dr. Neil Singh today. He was very careful to minimize my pain and checked in with me frequently to be sure I was doing okay during the process. He is down-to-earth, smart and efficient. He made sure I had easy access to him in case I had any negative side effects or pain (by giving me his cell number). The office is beautiful and all the other staff was very nice and professional. Currently 42 min PAST my appointment time in waiting room....Completely unacceptable considering this was supposed to be a lunch time in and out appointment where I was just getting a 5 min X-ray . Doctor Mindy Van and the staff are fantastic! I came in because I had a problem with a root canal done by a general dentist. She saw me very quickly, due to the serious nature of my infection I needed information sent to Northwestern Hospital the next day. She was an expert, so intelligent and knowledgeable. She knew right away what had happened, and explained it to me in a concise understandable way. I have been here a handful of times and each time my experience was great! Dr. Van really made me feel welcome and took very good care of me, as well as explained everything very well. I'm so impressed by the level of accountability and concern that I have received from Dr. Van. I hope in the nicest way to never need her services again, but I will rave about her to anyone that needs her help! First consultation was for a potential root canal, and while I did not need one, Dr. Van thoroughly explained what I needed, and why. Office staff was nice and very helpful in getting back to me on insurance and out of pocket cost, etc. The office is so nice and polished and there are always fresh, beautiful flowers that add a touch of elegance. Second visit was because I unfortunately, did need a root canal; it appears that it was a really tough root canal so the process was long but minimally unpleasant for what it was. She scheduled a follow 6 month appointment to check-in on it once it was complete. Well, at the follow-up there was still extra work that needed to be done to avoid future problems. While it was annoying to go through the experience again, I'm grateful that she was so diligent in her need to close out this issue because it means no more future problems (finger's crossed). I'm now scheduled for another 6 month follow up just to check in on it before I'm fully cleared. read more

5 star root canal and experience! I was referred to Dr. Van during an emergency and she was able to take me last minute on Saturday morning. I had never had a root canal before but had heard horror stories and without time to research and read reviews beforehand, I was flying blindingly in pain..Luckily Dr. Van and her team were wonderful to work with leading up to and during the procedure. The place is very clean, and comfortable. The staff are so friendly (and not the fake kind of friendly, they are genuinely friendly and seem to be happy to be there). The doctors are excellent and professional. Dr. Mindy Van did my root canal retreatment after it had failed under the care of a different dental clinic. It was quick, painless, and the chair was extremely comfortable (me being 6'3, I usually suffer physically in most dental chairs). If I ever need anymore root canals done, I would probably take a trip back to Chicago just for them. read more

Not only is the equipment state of the art, the entire staff is exceptionally well-trained and knowledgeable. After viewing the CBCT scan of my tooth, Dr. Van diagnosed a rare condition that never showed up on regular x-rays. Unfortunately, there was a very poor prognosis even with treatment. Instead of going ahead and doing a root canal that would not have made any difference, she told me the truth and referred me to an oral surgeon for an extraction/implant. No one wants to have a root canal but if/when I do need one, I will definitely return here. read more

I had chosen this dentist to do my root canal because the quoted fee given to me was lower than the other dentist I was comparing. At the time of my appointment this office had just installed a new root canal machine and I felt I was being used as a guinea pig to test this equipment and I told her so. It was not entirely comfortable. A few weeks later, to my surprise, she sent me a bill for an additional balance over the quoted amount which I paid at the time of my visit. I wrote back stating that it was not ethical to charge me an additional amount when the total cost of the root canal was agreed upon before my visit. It was not the small balance but a matter of principle concerning what was agreed to be paid. I did not receive any replies from her until now, one year and three months later, an invoice for the additional balance. I decided to pay it because I do not want to deal with untrustworthy people. read more

Dr Van is everything a great endodontist should be. She's personable but meticulous. Having an endodontist in the family, it's easy to spot sub-par root canal work. Dr Van's work is exact. It's quick, efficient, and generally great work. The office is clean, front office staff are very friendly. Dr. Van has all the necessary technology to help her as needed, but I do not feel like it is full of 'fluff.' This is a beautiful office, but seriously professional at the same time, and I completely trust the opinions that I have received. Kind, careful, clear in explaining both what they were doing and in Dr. Van's case what was likely going on with my tooth and what my options/possibilities were. She also took a generous amount of time to talk to me and make me feel comfortable. And the place has lovely interior decor, AND they have super comfy cushions on the chairs (I didn't end up needing a root canal but I can imagine had I had to sit there for a while I would have been even happier about those cushions!). Had a root canal procedure today performed by Dr. Roman. No one likes the thought of a root canal, but the procedure Dr. Roman performed was 100% painless. And, she and assistant Sandra were extremely caring and kind throughout the procedure. I had a great experience at Lakeview Endodontics, which is something I never thought I'd say about getting a root canal!Dr Van is professional, personal, timely, and extremely thorough. I had an extremely large and gnarly infection (I didn't have a toothache, but had a lot of ear pain...it was weird. Very happy my dentist caught it and sent me to Dr Van) Anyway, after my treatment, all of my ear issues went away. I needed an emergency root canal and my primary dentist suggested Lakeview Endodontics. I was in an immense amount of pain and luckily they were able to fit me in the same day. Never having had a root canal and hearing horror stories I was quite nervous about the procedure. Dr. Singh could not have done a better job. From start to finish he made sure I was comfortable with everything and took care and time to explain what he was doing. I felt zero pain during the procedure which was unexpected. He gave me his cell number to reach out if I had any issues. I was more than impressed with the whole process start to finish. Even billing was straightforward and communicated clearly ahead of time. I hope to not have to have many dental procedures but take comfort in knowing I can come back here if I do. read more

Wow 5 stars for having an emergency root canal?? For 1.5 years, my back molar created a lot of problems whenever an object would slightly touch one spot of the tooth. After getting second opinions from endodentists and dentists, my dentist decided to redo the molar. While working, she discovered it needs to be a root canal and the work she wanted to do cannot be done. So within 1 hour she had me set up with Dr. Van. I am a pretty together person in emergencies, but never having a root canal before and having dealt with this bad tooth for so long....I was anxious to say the least. It was a two part appointment. Dr. Van and her staff were AMAZING! I like to do research on doctors before visiting, but in this case, there was no time. I was the patient who has a system that absorbs pain meds fast- too fast. Both appointments my meds wore off and both apps, Dr. Van was a superstar at moving fast as I dealt with the discomfort. She did everything possible to keep me comfortable. She is an excellent doctor. Highly skilled and makes you feel like it is not a big deal. If you are ever in need of a root canal....she is your doctor. read more

If you need a root canal, look no further. I saw Dr. Van for a scan of one area of my mouth to determine whether I need a root canal, and a root canal for another tooth after a cavity filling showed decay had hit the nerve. Dr. Van does not push services on you at all and correctly assessed that there was no further treatment needed after the scan. As to the root canal, this was my fifth root canal (but first with Dr. Van) and after many horrifying experiences, I saw Dr. Van with some of the most severe dental phobia most endodontists/dentitst have ever seen. Dr. Van made me feel extremely comfortable and worked with me to find a solution that would work to treat the anxiety during the treatment. Her and her staff were kind and treated me with respect despite the fact that others may have viewed my fears as somewhat irrational. In addition, I can say that her work is nothing short of perfect. Without going into medical detail, the root canal for my particular tooth was extremely challenging. However Dr. Van succeeded where other endodontists have done sub-par work. She is a perfectionist and cares about successful outcomes for her patients. Dr. Van even stayed at the office just before Thanksgiving 2 hours after closing to finish my procedure so I would not have to come back. There is no other endodontist I have come across with that level of client service. I wish I could give her and Beatriz (her dental assistant) 10 stars. (as a side note, I found her prices with my insurance to be very reasonable). read more

Going to any dental appt. brings me to great distress. Going to a specialist brings that level up a notch. I had two crowns previously put in, continued to have problems and was referred here. Got there with a referral that was not valid. Complete meltdown as I am led to think the crowns are leading to my additional work needed. Can't see this specialist until I get a proper referral (1st of year dental changes) but I will definitely be back as their front desk staff was exceptionally kind and helpful. Went above and beyond what anyone would do in the situation I was in. (I know because I worked front desk in a doctor's office many years ago.) Even tried to get me an in-network dentist that moment so I could get in for my repair. They were so calm and professional. I will refer everyone I know there just on that one experience alone.
