A bit delayed on this review... I was there for my second time with Tahn (spelling?). Best nail experience ever yet AGAIN! They look incredible! Here is the scoop. I've been doing my own nails for years. I started on CND Shellac years ago. I've been SNS dipping for a few years. I'm pretty darn good at both--less so on dipping because I don't have a decent drill. I now drive 45 minutes and pay for Tahn to do my nails. Her lines are perfect, surface smooth and I've never had someone so gentle. Highly recommend! read more

Really enjoyed my gel mani and toe polish change with layla and moon. They did a fantastic job, have a great range of polish and are following covid protocol (i.e. not allowing walk ins, temperature checks, sanitizing equipment). Taking off one star just because I think their prices are pretty steep. The gel mani was $45 and a simple toe polish change was $16. Tried the new dipped powder nails. Undecided if it's worth the money. Definitely looks like I've got something on top of my nails where gel polish looks natural. I would like more of a manicure with this new process, especially if I'm paying $45 (before tip). I went home and cleaned up my cuticles a little more which is disappointing given what I paid. Really glad I found this gem. Beautiful inside and doesn't smell like a nail salon. I appreciate that I can understand the employees and they can understand me. Very polite and they do a great job as well. This will be my new go-to nail salon in Minnetonka. I wish that had vinyl-lux polish, but I just bring my own. They carry OPI and Zoya. I'm mostly hopping on here to respond to Val P. from Hopkins comments. I was the customer sitting across from you while you were there, and the information you've reported is a bald-faced lie. No one ever called you stupid. Phong and Jenny were kind, calm, and exceptionally polite. You, on the other hand were rude, demanding, and don't think I missed it when you pawed through Jenny's kit when she went to get new tools. You threatened to leave even if your nails weren't done. You were asked to leave because you made the staff, and quite frankly, the other customers, uncomfortable. I'm glad they asked you to leave. It made my experience all the more enjoyable, and I applaud Phong for standing up for his employee who was being verbally abused rather than kowtowing in the name of customer service. Lastly, I'd like to address the fact that you very politely apologized to me. You recognized that you were making a scene, but I wonder why you couldn't afford that same decency to Jenny and Phong? As for my review: I LOVE this place. The facilities are clean and modern. The tools that were used on me were either brand new or had been sitting in a disinfecting solution. Titi was fun to chat with, and I think Phong is probably the friendliest guy I've ever met. Very kind and down to earth. He apologized repeatedly for the actions of an unruly customer, which is obviously something that is out of his control. I highly recommend them. Oh, and Val, don't worry. My nails rock because of Thanh and the rest of the crew. The service is friendly and they genuinely care about what they do. Going to get my mani pedi there is now an integral part of my life because they feel like family. I drive 30 mins to get there and I don't regret it. The salon is clean and well stocked. ZERO STAR. Have been here 4 times for a gel manicure. I hope it's a different experience each time I go back . I tip pretty dang well also. The technician is awful (same one EVERY TIME- probably because I tipi really well) and the edges are still rough, hang nails and tip of nail isn't smoothed or buffed so it catches on my clothes when I leave. Before I leave I do point these aspects out and she never does a thorough or careful job. My cuticles are bleeding when I leave. Each time by day three it's chipped. I've tried to ask for a different technician but this one ALWAYS comes over and does my mails. The last straw was that same nail technician coming over to do my manicure while I was in the massage chair getting my pedicure done by someone else (whom I was told was also doing my manicure this time). Well the young lady was making me lean over and bend my arm and fingers in uncomfortable positions so she could work on my nails. This ruined my experience and I just wanted the whole thing to be over. Been to many, many nail salons and spas no one has ever done a manicure while I'm in a massage chair trying to lean back, relax and have my self-care. She ruined it for me. I felt rushed and it was awful. And yes, the polish on my fingertips chipped that night and eventually peeled of.by day 5. Also, the owner has his toddler in there driving his electric car in the salon or running around and screaming every time. Is this a day care or a spa? They are clueless, greedy, sloppy (dirty, used Emory boards and unclean nail tools) and this is no "spa". Not going back anymore. EVER. Someone needs to shut this place down before a person gets a bad infection. read more

Had an appointment for 1:00 pm on a random Thursday afternoon and they didn't start on my nails until 1:15 PM, but they let me soak my feet in the pedicure water which was nice. I wasn't in a hurry, so it was no big deal. They have a fantastic selection of colors of polish by OPI. I absolutely recommend Lakeside Nails and Spa. I was traveling from out of town and wanted and Mani and Pedi. Lakeside has great recommendations on yelp and it has lived up to every one! I just walked in without an appointment and they took care of me right away. The classic pedicure included a sugar scrub on the lower leg and I really got to soak in the hot water. Everyone here seems like a regular and the staff was incredibly friendly. Overall it was a wonderful experience and I wish I lived closer. I would be back all the time! read more

Very bad customer service!! They did not follow directions on what I wanted them to do on my daughters nails and they kept saying my daughter needed to be telling them every step. My daughter is a kid and I spoke to 2 people- the nail tech working on her and the manager. Yet they get it wrong. And when they were going to correct it they said oh wait we dont have nobody to fix it every body is leaving... seriously!! And instead of offering to do it again another day at their cost due to the inconvenience all they said was we can give you a 20% discount! And the owner even told us she doesn't care that they made her bleed or that my daughter was balling in tears from the tramatizing situation. Seriously?? You wasted 2 hrs of my time and at that cut my daughters finger removing your mistake and thats all you can compensate us with?? No never going back! read more
