This is what I'd call a typical carry out restaurant. There is a large array of fried food options which is probably best enjoyed on a "cheat day". I had wings and western cut fries. The service was quick, I was able to order right away and it was prepared in less than 10 minutes. The staff was patient as I was ambivalent about what I wanted and kind on tone. The store seemed clean. It's a carryout so there aren't any tables to sit and enjoy a meal but there are some chairs to sit and wait for your meal to be prepared. It was quiet when I went but can imagine things getting busy during a dinner rush. My meal was ok. I enjoyed it but nothing stood out as great. I'd return in the future but not necessarily go out of my way to return. Ok I know the food is eaten lol but hear me out. I got 2 lake trout fish 3 wings fries and two sides. The trout didn't have that fishy taste or any seasoning. The chicken was just fried also no seasoning and one was deformed which i refuse to eat. The fries were ok. The yams had no flavor! Like dang add some brown sugar and cook it more. I love absolutely love their "fried hard" steak fish and their potato wedges. My husband is a fan of their lake trout. So far we are not fans of the sweet potatoes, mac and cheese, greens nor rice side dishes since they are healthy-tasting. They have subs too but only fish versions, et. al., whiting, lake trout, cat fish subs. Probably yummy since they know their fish real well. Nice people work there too. That helps. Clean, well-lit. This place had some pretty decent reviews so I figured, why not give it a shot. I ordered the sampler ( 2 piece catfish, 2 fried shrimp, 2 chicken wings and a side) and my son ordered the 10 piece fried shrimp with fries. I will say, the fish was fried perfectly and the shrimp was very flavorful. The wings were good. Fried good for me but if you line your wings really crunchy, you may want to request them to be fried hard. The greens were weird. They actually tasted more like spinach than greens. I probably won't get those again. The place was clean and the service was quick and friendly. The food in my sampler was enough to feed both myself and my daughter. I have noticed that the fish is not very fresh on Monday and Tuesday (the beginning of the week. I ordered steak fish for lunch and it smelled like ammonia and looked yellowish/tan.
