I'm convinced they are trying to kill me as my order of lemon pepper wings was super salty . So salty that it was hard to isolate any lemon or pepper taste. Wings fried well but overwhelmed by the salt. I can't return lol. Their other items don't look enticing enough and there are now seafood boil places on every corner it seems.

This place is going to give the other Seafood Boil places a run for their money. They have several different combinations of Seafood Boils. They also sell a variety of items, like Hibachi Fried Rice,Soups,Salads, Fried Baskets,Po'Boys and Desserts. I got the Seafood Boil with the Garlic Butter Sauce and the Lemon Pepper Wings. Everything was so flavorful. I will be back to try their other items.

Very friendly staff. Oysters were cooked well (I asked for lightly Fried Hard). I could use a little more seasoning. The crab sauce that came with them was delicious!!

Omg! Go try them out. I got the seafood boil in the bag with shrimp & mussels with the mild Seafood legend seasoning! And when I tell you it was so good! I said let me go right now and write a review! This is soooo good. The Seafood legend blend is to die for. I've had hook & reel and crafty crab and their "special blends" are ALWAYS too salty! Well Seafood legend has their blend on point! Not salty at all. I could literally drink it lol They also added this dipping sauce, probably like a mayonnaise base but it has a kick to it. I dipped my shrimp in it and loved it. OMG please go and try this place out. It just opened in June I think. But if they keep their boil like this! I will always patronize this business!

I found the food to be very good on delivery. It was still hot, and season well. Delivery came on time.

The fish was beautifully seasoned, with rich sweet-and-savory sauces that really brought out its flavor. The cornbread was incredibly comforting, and we all loved how well everything came together. 9/10 Baby Back Ribs - Very meaty and tender. The meat fell off the bone effortlessly, and the flavor was deep and satisfying. The jambalaya and shrimp boat were also wonderful. I especially loved the creamy, flavorful rice in the jambalaya, and the portions were very filling. Also, their bread was amazing--each of us couldn't stop snapping pieces off of it. Overall All of our servers were kind and enthusiastic. The overall vibe of the restaurant was cheerful and cozy--definitely a great place to hang out with friends!

It's been open since 1994, and it's easy to see why. Ethel's is really homey and cozy and comfortable. It feels like you've taken a little day trip to New Orleans. We each ordered a couple of drinks (something tropical with rum for me, a martini for my friend, and sangria for my other friend). We shared a few items from their menu: Creole Shrimp Boat (sauteed shrimp, mussels, jumbo lump crab meat, and the fish of the day simmered in a fire roasted red bell pepper sauce, with Creole rice and the vegetable of the day); Hot Cat Stack (fried catfish stacked with sweet and savory Andouille sausage cornbread, spicy crawfish red pepper meunière, honey chive compound butter, hot honey, and the vegetable of the day); a half rack of ribs (slow roasted ribs, Louisiana dry rub seasoning, mopped in BBQ sauce, mashed potato, and the vegetable of the day); and a strawberry bread pudding. Everything was delicious. I liked every course we had, but the Hot Cat Stack was wow. I've had a lot of bad to blah bread puddings in my life, but Ethel's wasn't bad or blah. It was delicious - and not dry at all. At all. The service was friendly but not the fastest (we waited a while for dessert) and maybe just a little scattered! But we eventually got everything we ordered, and the meal overall was wonderful: delicious, fun, casual. I'd love to return!

I tried a lot of their items, my absolute favorite is the 1137 lamb chop platter that I got with shrimp! Usually, I'm skeptical about lamb because of that gamey taste BUT WOW... these lamb chops were so tender, perfectly cooked, and easily some of the best lamb chops I've had!! I, also, enjoyed their fried chicken sandwich which was perfectly crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside with great seasoning throughout! Something you must try here at least once is their po' boy sandwiches. The bread they use is phenomenal, didn't get soggy at all despite all the sauce on it!! Something to know beforehand is their smash burgers are only served on Friday and Saturday. It was very worth the hype! Service was another highlight. Major shoutout to Chef Dante, Dennis, and the team for being SO welcoming and clearly passionate about what they serve! They truly deliver on serving massive portions, packed with flavor, and delicious consistency. Even though it's a mostly carry-out spot, everything came out very fresh, hot, and you could taste their signature bold seasoning in every bite! (I got a bottle of seasoning to take home and cannot wait to use it for everything!) I can't get over how seriously massive the portions are, you will definitely get your money's worth here! Highly recommend.

They were bringing supplies in from outside and I even helped bring in deserts from Simone's car that the establishment was selling. I ended up ordering the shrimp and salmon Caesar salad sub and along with old bay wings. It took about 25 mins and my food came out. They were out of Parmesan cheese so I took shredded instead as I was hungry and needed to get back. The salad sub was ok however it is DRENCHED in dressing which takes away from the salmon flavor. The bread is good and the shrimp are tiny. This is a pretty messy sub with mixed results. The old bay wings can be removed from the menu. They were not cooked well and I ended up throwing half away. Overall I've been here twice and left with a mixed bag of tricks.

Unfortunately, my overall experience was disappointing. Starting with the drinks, our group ordered lemon drops, smoked old fashioneds, vodka sodas, and an espresso martini. The lemon drops tasted like they were made with lime instead of lemon, the vodka soda was very weak, and the espresso martini lacked flavor and strength--we ended up ordering an extra shot just to make it drinkable. As for the food, it was a mixed bag. The Brussels sprouts were cold, stale, and easily the biggest disappointment of the meal. The honey Old Bay wings were decent, around a 7/10, with good flavor. The catfish nuggets arrived cold, and the fries that came with them were cold as well. The fish tacos were actually the highlight of the meal--they were flavorful and well-prepared, although they could have used a sauce to bring everything together. The burger was solid, about an 8/10, but the fries had an unusual seasoning that didn't pair well with them. The quesadillas were also underwhelming and lacked flavor. The prices felt excessive considering the quality of the food and drinks. One thing to keep in mind is that there's a noticeable difference between the cash price and the card price, so be prepared if you're paying with a card. Overall, I left disappointed. Between the weak drinks, inconsistent food quality, and high prices, this wasn't an experience I'd recommend, and I don't see myself returning.
