Salmon bites, rice, yam, mac n cheese
    Private B.

I ordered mango lemonade, salmon bites with yams and Mac n cheese. The platter comes with rice too, which was good too. Everything was delicious. The lemonade and yams were perfectly sweet, not overly sweet. The Mac n cheese was cheesy. The salmon bites were cooked well and the sauces were good. Street parking is available. Inside is small.

The bar was filled and it looked like they only had one bartender so it was a little slow getting or drinks but with the wait. I got the cognac espresso martini. Strong and good! Highly recommend. Then we ordered the catfish tenders and the curry chicken egg rolls. The catfish tenders were great! I'm not even really a curry chicken person but I was pleasantly surprised at the egg rolls! Can with great sweet/spicy sauces. Got an entree, we split the Rasta pasta. That actually turned out to be perfect because after the two appetizers, we would not have finished a full entree by ourselves. Everything was delicious. Definitely returning.

We had to sit to the side because the underside was blocked off. Not to mention it was wobbly. My best friend and I came here for my birthday and I was disappointed. It was a Friday night around 7pm. It wasn't packed but my drink took a while to come out. It was okay but nothing special. I don't remember the name. Although my waitress didn't ask how I wanted my lamb chops, they were too rare for my liking. So, I didn't eat it and decided I'd cook it more at home. The Mac and cheese was very dry. I didn't eat all of it and did not enjoy the texture. The greens were not good at all. I think wayyy too much vinegar. Oddly enough when I got home I put a lot of hot sauce in it. It enhanced it a little but still not " good". Overall, I was disappointed in my meal and I don't think I would return. I think they were supposed to to have live music but it was just two people setting up/ DJing. I was just underwhelmed by the food and the decor.

It is a purely outdoor experience, with picnic tables on astroturf where you order drinks from your phone with a QR code. The drinks are a little pricey and the service tends to be slow, but you deal with that for the atmosphere. Like, I ordered a crush 10 minutes ago and am sitting right at the bar, but I'm still waiting. ‍ The downside this season is that they got rid of the lawn games - there used to be foosball and giant connect 4. That is gone, so now it's just a place to chat and drink. However- on the upside Glizzy is now the house food truck/stand. If you've never experienced a Glizzy hotdog (or sliders), run there right now and get some. They are a delight and the Glizzy King himself gives not just dinner, busy also a show. Tucked away on a quiet street in Hampden sits Hampden Yards Beer Garden. Bringing all the patio vibes to this little community. If it wasn't for the sounds of the patrons chatting away, you might actually miss Hampden Yards. Which is nice because it's off the beaten path from all the goings on happening on the main street. I loved the kind of garden look they have, and it was great that Hampden Yards has some areas that are covered to keep you out of the sun if you so choose. The drink options were nice, with various beers and some crafted cocktails. Offering a little something for everyone. Hampden Yards sells a few snacks but the Glizzy hot dog stand sits at the opening, providing everyone with a taste of summer in the form of a grilled hot dog. This was my first visit to Hampden Yards Beer Garden and it definitely won't be my last during the summer.

Service was friendly and welcoming upon walk-in, but that was the best part of our experience. The food sadly did not match the reputation. EVERYTHING came out lukewarm, the brisket was overcooked and dry, cornbread was burnt and hard, greens had no seasoning, and the baked beans were overwhelmingly vinegary. The bratwurst was underwhelming with no real snap, and even the B-side drink was way too sour. The mac & cheese and coffee BBQ sauce were the only good items of our entire meal. I really hope the kitchen staff was having an uncommon off-day, because this visit didn't reflect the recognition at all. Our meal was a compete letdown, so I hope they improve for future diners soon. PS - There is an upstairs and a downstairs, but if you sit upstairs, you have to order your food downstairs - they do bring the food up to you though.

Walked in and your in the bar area with about only 3 tables. Never being here before and not from the area we didn't know there was seating upstairs. You'd think since I had a kid with me we would have been told this. We split a two meat plate of ribs and brisket, with extra Mac & cheese. The meat comes with no sauce and they have sauce at the tables for you to add which is the best way to go. The ribs were fall off the bone and very good. The brisket on the other hand was a little on the dryer side and I needed a lot of the sauce to eat it. Speaking of the sauce the smoke sauce was delicious. The Mac & cheese is way over peppered, very cheesy and tasted good but too much pepper. The meal also came with pickles which were ok and the driest cornbread I've ever eaten. Definitely needed butter to spread on it. All and all it was just ok for us. We traveled from PA to try this place and it's just not for us.

It's definitely a place you have to see to appreciate. One of the biggest conveniences is the parking. They have a designated customer parking lot in addition to available street parking, which takes the stress out of finding a spot. We visited on a Sunday around 12:30 PM with a party of five and were seated immediately. From start to finish, everything exceeded expectations. The service was friendly, attentive, and efficient, and every dish that came to the table was outstanding. We ordered the large Caesar salad, pulled pork sandwich, chicken quesadilla, Monte Egg breakfast sandwich, pesto burger, onion rings and Southern Love burger. Every meal was generously portioned, arrived fresh, and was packed with flavor. No one at the table had a complaint, and everyone left impressed.
