I've always been a fan of Phil's turkey wings and the food for his Sunday brunch was the same quality as expected. The seating arrangements were a bit different in my opinion. The staff were very nice and attentive. I would definitely go again. read more

I can't believe I didn't know about The Reserve Restaurant and Carryout sooner! From start to finish, everything was such a great experience. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, and the customer service was excellent--friendly, attentive, and made me feel right at home. Now the food... absolutely delicious. I really enjoyed all of the sides, but the fried chicken and catfish stole the show--both were perfectly seasoned and cooked just right. The honey butter cornbread was melt-in-your-mouth good, and the mango lemonade was the perfect refreshing touch. I'm already planning my next visit to try the crab cakes and lamb chops. This spot is a true gem, and I'll definitely be back! I can't believe I didn't know about The Reserve Restaurant and Carryout sooner! From start to finish, everything was such a great experience. This smallish restaurant is nestled in a large shopping center with plenty of parking on a private lot. I arrived at noon when they opened and were still setting up for the day. There was a bench available to sit and wait until the staff was prepared to take orders. It took maybe 10 minutes for them to be ready. The ambience is nice, clean and modern. The staff were very friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. I ordered take out. Fish, green beans and rice. My order was prepared in about 15 minutes and remained hot during my commute back to my office. Ever was really good. The fish was fresh, seasoned well and it was tasty. So were the green beans and rice. I also had a lemonade which was slightly sweet for my taste but still good. Overall I'll be a repeat customer. read more

I've had carryout from here twice and never have eaten inside Their service is slow. I called in an order, told the wait would be 20 minutes, and did not receive the food until over an hour later. The first time I ordered here the sides on the fish platter were so salty that I couldn't eat them. Salt was the only thing I could taste. The salt from the sides could've been used more in the fish. The fish was ok. I enjoyed the chicken & waffles the first time I ordered so I decided to give them another try. The chicken & waffles were also good the second time. I really enjoy their waffles. You don't even need syrup for them. I also order a turkey wing platter on my second visit. The sides were not salty this time but weren't just ok. The turkey wings had nice flavor and were cooked well. Overall, I'd probably pass on returning. The waffles were great but not great enough to be worth the hassle. read more

This was an unplanned visit. Hubby wanted something to eat and we saw this in an older plaza. The menu has great variety. The venue is small with about 8 tables, a bar and waiting area. I appreciated the lunch specials which include a meat, 2 sides and a roll for under $20. We opted for the single catfish meal with yams and garlic mash potatoes. The food was great. The yams were not too sweet, the potatoes didn't taste like boxed potatoes and the fish was fried to perfection. The owner was personable and let us know they were setting up for a private event. Even so, we didn't feel rushed and I enjoyed the fresh coffee while waiting for our to-go order. Great food and service. read more

The restaurant is small. They really need a liquor license. The food is good, the vibe is laid back. Waiting for dinner with wine or a cocktail would be a great help. It's a little pricey. That said, my takeout is always enough for 2 meals. If it looks closed, if you hear jazz playing, it's open! Check them out. I've ordered here for the last 3 weeks and loved every bite! They are open Thursday-Sunday ONLY. Tragically read more

I've heard so much about this place and I follow them on Instagram so I decided to try them out! Ummm...DELICIOUS!! I had a taste for fried fish and I'm so glad I chose to try it from here. The fish was hot and seasoned and crispy. You don't need to add nothing to it if you don't want to. No ketchup or hot sauce and you will still be satisfied! Either way, because I love hot sauce, it was so good! The sweet potatoes were perfectly sweetened and I didn't get chunks of sweet potato that was just bland. Y'all know what I'm talking about if you try yams/sweet potatoes from different places. But I can do without the garnish getting into my sweet potatoes. The Mac and cheese did not disappoint either! It was not too runny or stiff, seasoned well, and cheesed down. It was a little oily but overall very good. I enjoyed my meal very much. I will absolutely be back. It's on my side of town too so thats perfect. The gentleman that helped me ( maybe the owner) was super nice and made sure to show me my order before he bagged it. I love when restaurants do that. It shows that they care about the food and how they are presenting it to you. I will be back to try other dishes. I'm not sure if I'll dine in but I'll definitely place many of pick up orders!! read more

The Reserve Restaurant - Fried Fish Whiting Platter - Breakfast & Brunch Near Me - Baltimore, Maryland

Last Saturday my brother's and I threw our mom a surprise birthday party and it was great. Planning was pretty smooth once we got a handle on what was included and what we would be responsible for. During the event, the staff was amazing. The room was set up nicely with black, gold and white but we wanted to do shades of blue since that is my mom's favorite color. When my friends arrived to add the blue touches to the room, the staff was both friendly and helpful. I even found out that we could've dropped our silver charger plates off the day before so that could place them for us before we arrived. Early in the event, the manager asked when my mom was expected to arrive. She arrived 6 minutes after the time that I told her and the food was piping hot and ready to be served. They did a great job of preserving the food, keeping it hot throughout the event so that even late arrivals had hot food to eat. Any issue or concern we had the hostess had a solution for it. I planned to use my own playlist but of course my phone wouldn't cooperate but the playlist that she already had was perfect for the event. My mom was extremely happy and so was all of the guests. If you're thinking about hosting a nice intimate gathering, I would recommend The Reserve hands down. read more

The food is soooooo good. I've been seeing this restaurant on Instagram but never had a chance to visit because I typically work late. I'm so happy that I finally came. Upon entering I was greeted quickly by the gentleman who rang me in. He was very polite. The owner came out to say hello and thank me for my patronage. He too was very welcoming. Now to the food..... I got the Flounder meal, with Yams and Mac & Cheese. The food taste like a real home cooked meal in the best way. I will definitely be back as they also have brunch on Sundays read more

Customer service was really good. The food was delicious. Our greens and sweet tatoes weren't hot but we told the waiter and he addressed the issue. Our replacements came out In a few short minutes and they were all hot(just like i like my hot food). The ambiance was inviting, lighting was good, the music was a mix of jazz and R&B, the tables were set beautifully. They offer complimentary salad which was good. I ordered a crab cake, mac n cheese, sweet tatoes, and greens. Everything was so good. I'm going back for brunch... read more

I went on a Sunday afternoon. The place isn't really big but it feels like a private setting. It's clean and they play music. It was brunch time but I was getting my order to go. I waited about 20-25 mins. The food had a good taste but the salmon only had a teaspoon worth of stuffing in it and the piece of salmon was small. The sides had a nice portion that was just right. I got Macc and cheese, collard greens and honey stuffed salmon. read more

I found this restaurant via a Google search for a dinner party for my staff. Let me start with the owner Phil, He is Amazing! Very helpful and accommodating. The food here is delicious... all of it is delicious! Those yams are is mother's recipe . The stuffed honey Glazed salmon, the Slow/Low Turkey Wings, the Lamb Chops, The Wings, the Honey Butter... it's all fire, no need to add anything! Their attached event space is gorgeous! I'll be back with lots of friends read more

If I could have given a zero, I would have. I purchased two dinners on February 27, 2025 . One dinner consisted of chicken wings, macaroni, cheese, and string beans. The dinner was chicken wings, candied sweet potato and cabbage. Neither dinner was edible and were thrown in the trash. The cabbage and string beans were so salty it was like eating salt directly from a salt shaker. The candied sweet potatoes were barely OK. They were very dry and not a lot of flavor. The chicken was cooked so hard that you break the skin off like candy and underneath that skin you see black meat which was on the chicken. Needless to say it was a waste of $44 and we will never patronize there again. read more

1. Professionalism of Chef, server was . Asked were we ready for bill n how much more time is needed because he had another big party... first off you serving people on paper, plastic plates, you have juice containers with lemonade or water in them oh and welches in the bottle. on reviews it said all you can eat?? Not it was not explained properly at 45.00 a person they tell you what they have in which that was not fully done.. and they put a spoonful of what you ask for on the plastic paper plate crazzzyyy right? Then your walked to your table which was fir us on the otherside it seemed like a pub serving leftovers, , ill just say what was edible, because you only get a half of waffle, half of a piece of french toast you have to ask for these, a piece of fish, a piece of fried chicken a scoop of seafood salad, all else was bland and meatless. Embarrassed to say the least for myself I followed the ratings not really looking at this place especially for fathers day I thought we were going to a nice place for brunch like blk swan or the moon... No way was it that sort of spot. Better off going to Golden Coral at least they serve you on Real plastic plates and not the disposable ones with the plastic utencils...Wow smh were we at a family picnic??? That could be the concept glad we dressed casual. It was no real light a bug was on the paper table covering it was like that paper you put down to eat crabs or something...what in the world? read more

It hard for me to give places a five star if I haven't had a chance to taste a variety of items. Let's start with the owner-his personality is so big and very welcomed that you feel the love as soon as you walked in the door. The establishment smelled so delicious I was confused on just what to order...LOL! I had two meals the Rasta Pasta and the Jerk Chicken meal. The Rasta Pasta was seasoned and in my opinion melted in my mouth. It was accompanied by the garlic mashed potatoes and buttered cabbage. Both were tasty and was a great accompaniment to the jerk chicken and the pasta dish. I need to return to give the brunch a try as well as their lamb chops that I've heard so much about. Hopefully, I can give it a 5 star the next time. read more

Raves: 1. This is some bomb bomb soul food they are pushing out over at the black owned and operated reserve restaurant. They make the best fall off the bone smothered turkey wings around. The honey old bay crab stuffed salmon entree is worth every bit of its $30 price point. If you don't feel like frying fish at home but find yourself craving some, this is your spot for fried flounder or whiting! The macaroni and cheese and candied yams and buttered cabbage are all so good and the jerk chicken is really good too. Let the reserve restaurant knock out your Sunday dinner when you don't feel like making the delicious soul food spread they have. 2. They're BYOB, too? Don't mind if I do!!! Bring your own bar! Mix your own libations & pour your own mimosas from your own bottle(s). 3.They offer a station with self serve ice water, iced tea, lemonade, and I think I saw some kind of punch with plastic cups you also retrieve yourself to pour your own drinks if you've brought in bottles. Calling in to get an afternoon reservation is easy and quick to do at this quaint little spot located in the corner of a strip mall. They even have a grass wall back drop right outside for you to take pictures with and the location is able to be booked in advance for private events, which would be best ideal for an intimate birthday affair. Rants: 1. I realize you can't typically make things like turkey wings, macaroni & cheese, collard greens, jerk chicken etc fresh to order and theirs is served from buffet style pans likely previously made in the morning or night before which is fine... BUT.... It needs to reach diners hot, and did not. All of the aforementioned items arrived to our table room temperature or cold and when sent back, had the server's thumb and fingers in the food being taken to the kitchen to be reheated which was largely disappointing. 2. The chairs, table tops, floors, and plastic menus were all extremely sticky which sometimes occurs in locations that frequently deep fry food items, but whatever the case may be, the surfaces need to be thoroughly cleaned and degreased regularly. I could hear each step I took with the grease on my shoes lifting from the floors and the arms of the chairs being so sticky was very off putting which could have been being addressed by the staff that had no customers when my party arrived. Instead of standing around, the employees could have been thoroughly wiping and scrubbing the surfaces menus, furniture, and floors down. 3. Gnats and flies accompanying sticky surfaces, greasy furniture, and greasy floors make it hard to enjoy the nice lounge style furniture, cute photo back drop, and delicious cuisine the reserve has to offer. Having to wave away & constantly be swatting at flies to enjoy a meal is disturbing and makes me inclined to say this place would be best suited strictly for carryout once they better address the rants above. The food and hospitality are truly not to be missed after they get a handle on a few quality assurance issues. read more

I had a take-out order wings, mac+ cheese and candied yams. I expect we'll seasoned food. Sorry it didn't deliver read more

If I could give 0 stars I would. Husband saw on tik tok , food looked good etc... order over $100 worth of food and it was horrible. I swear they gave us the bottom of the barrel. Greens salty as heck, sweet potatoes ha we got sweet potato juice, fish looked good but no seasoning and one of the pieces had a fresh fried piece of hair in it., chicken wings....NOPE flavorless. They gave us fried potatoes if that is what you want call them. They were burnt and again no flavor. No Order the stuff salmon and it was stuffed but not much flavor could have been better. Instead of them saying they didn't have enough for our order they just split what they had to make our order. Instant mash potatoes, out of the bucket orator salad, seafood salad nasty and the Mac n cheese tasted like we noodles. To say I was pissed is an understatement. I don't know if we just caught them on a bad day but driving almost an hour to get what we got NEVER AGAIN read more

Spent mother day brunch here.... I was very disappointed in this pick. Cabbage mushy. Jerk chicken salty. Fried fish, fried too hard and over seasoned. Shrimp and grits was okay. Thought I'd try this place since the ratings appeared to be good. Ordered the Turkey wings, Mac n cheese, greens and a side of yams. While the food was hot it was just "palatable". Let's start with the Turkey wings that was not accompanied with any gravy nor rice which I was told came with it, the seasoning was there however, it was clumped on top and not rubbed in therefore leaving a very strong cumin taste. I enjoyed the greens and mac n cheese although the noodles were over cooked therefore making it mushy. The yams were just disappointing with a strong scent and taste of nutmeg that captures you as soon as you open the container. I will give a second chance as I know even restaurants have off days. read more

First let me say I'm always supporting BOB!! Ok got that out to the way. We booked a table for 3 for brunch super excited for a birthday celebration until I got there. First the restaurant is a converted store front which they did not do a great job with converted the room. The tables were made out of cardboard and the chairs were basically lawn chairs. The plates were plastic and there was a steam table where you are to get up from the cardboard table and get food plopped on your plate like you in the cafeteria. We immediately discussed with the owner that we weren't happy with the atmosphere and he suggested that we utilize the lounge space. The lounge space had paper covering the windows, there was a window in between the store front restaurant and the lounge area to where they would then proceed to serve the food and drinks through the window which me as a guest had to stand at the window and pass the plastic plates of food to everyone at the fold up table the owner presented that we can eat off without a tablecloth and I had to ask him to clean the table. So basically we had to set up the table we were eating off of. Now let's talk about the food. The food looked nothing like what they presented on the website ( false advertising at its finest) the fried chicken was extremely salty, Mac and cheese no flavors and the noodles were overcooked, cabbage over cooked no flavor, collard green undercooked no flavor, chicken and waffles the syrup couldn't even combat the salty chicken, the French toast smelled amazing however no flavor not even cinnamon flavor., the fried whiting fish was fired well however it was too salty as well. The food was so bad that we tried everything in the menu and not one dish was edible. Very very disappointed for $65 per person cost doesn't matter to me as long as the atmosphere, the service and the food is on target I will pay whatever it is. Never again will I even attempt to spend my money with The Reserve. The restaurant could be great however they have a lot of work to do to get there. read more
