He took the time to explain what he was checking and what he found, without trying to sell us repairs or services we did not need. He also discovered that during a previous service visit, Radiant had installed the condensation shutoff on the secondary drain line rather than the primary line, where it should have been installed. I really appreciated Jeremiah catching and explaining that issue. Between the emergency availability, Jeremiah's knowledge and professionalism, and the overall experience, I was impressed enough to sign up for Service Wizard's membership before he left. In August, 2026, with the temperatures in the 100s, my Carrier had a coolant leak that made the unit unusable. AAA sent out Sonny to evaluate the problem. Sonny deserves every cent they pay him for both expertise and customer service. On that Thursday we were told that it would be the following Tuesday before they could get a coil and crew together. While we were debating what to do, Sonny told us that the office people had found a crew and coil and that they could do the work the next day, Friday. Jason, the company owner, had apparently become involved and had also come up with a temporary fix for the AC that would allow us to stay overnight at our house with the AC working. The repair crew headed by Eliezer arrived right on time on Friday, and they were done by noon. Again, I was greatly impressed by the AAA team. Sometimes things work out. Sometimes the right vendor makes the extra effort to insure that things work out. I am sure that there are many good AC vendors around. We contact Alamo Austin for a second opinion. Sonny came out on a Friday evening at 6:30 and stayed until 9:30! He was very professional, knowledgeable, and thorough and found that the insulation in our attic unit had come undone and was blocking the blower. The previous company lied to us and had not even opened the unit. Sonny glued the insulation back in and unclogged a clogged A/C drain line for a total of $450. Sonny stayed late to make sure that we didn't have to deal with another night without A/C. Our A/C has worked better than it has in years since. We HIGHLY recommend this company for their honesty and professionalism.

My Takeaway Apex delivers on availability and technical competence when you're in a crisis. However, I'd strongly recommend getting multiple quotes if time permits, as their emergency pricing appears significantly above market rate. The convenience of immediate service came at a steep premium that I wasn't prepared for. Would I use them again? Only in a true emergency where no other options exist, and I'd request detailed pricing breakdowns upfront. Unfortunately, we have had a lot of difficulties with our Samsung washer and dryer and have had to have both repaired, several times, over the past 4-5 years. A few months ago, Greentek repaired our dryer, and most recently, they came out to assess a persistent annoying problem we've had with our washer. Greentek advised us the cost to repair the washer was higher than what we wanted to pay. (The amount of the repair and the amount we put into repairing it in the past was going to exceed the cost of a new washer.) So, we declined to have Greentek repair the washer and decided to buy a new washer. (Not a Samsung!) Both experiences were positive and we have no complaints with Greentek. Two days after the installation, the system stopped working again. When they returned, we were told there was now a hole in the coil and that it would be another $5,000 to repair or $16,000 for a completely new system. At that point, we decided to get additional opinions. Multiple HVAC companies quoted us significantly lower pricing. We learned that the condenser we paid $5,200 for typically costs around $3,000 installed. We ultimately had a brand-new system (the same model we already had) installed by another company for $7,000, less than half of what we were quoted. When we raised our concerns, the only explanation given was that they "don't get as good of pricing as other companies." Our experience left us feeling like they don't even try to properly diagnose, they just throw in expensive parts and hope for the best. We are also feeling duped because we obviously paid well above market rate for the work performed. We strongly recommend using ANYONE else.
