BOY am I glad I did! Travis texted me the morning of with his arrival window which he did meet. Its so shiny I can see reflections in it clearly. And the interior is just glorious. During the walk through afterwards, Travis patiently answered some questions I had about maintaining its beauty and gave me some great resources. I've used a few different detailers in my day but Travis and Dr. Buff are by hands down the best I've had! Definitely going back and keeping the paid off car as new as I can as long as I can!

I've been to a couple other shops with people colliding with me and wish their insurance would have let me use Pilchuck. IF YOU READ NO FARTHER: one of the absolute best auto shop experiences I have had to date…read more A friend at church recommended me to Denton Restoration after I was bumped this past July. I went to a few places to get estimates and landed here. First off, Jeffery's (I believe) dad is often in the office to help with receiving guests, he is an older gentleman that was very kind. And his son was also incredibly nice, he was efficient in getting me a quote and I was able to drop my car off and get it back a day earlier than I had anticipated! GET THIS-my car was a mess.... I am not an organized person and it was pretty full of old coffee cups, Coke Zero cans, and other miscellaneous trash...and I had BODY WORK done on the car. They went above and beyond and my whole car inside and out is spotless. It looks phenomenal.... He also let me know they have a master mechanic that comes in once a week if I need mechanical work done. Supporting a small business is a great bonus and the fact that the staff I have dealt with were all kind and extremely personable was also very nice!

The shop asked him if he wanted them to look over anything else and he said no, just those two things. A week goes by and he calls to see how things are going and they started telling him about his carburetor. He said again....do not do anything to the car other than the brakes and front end alignment. It runs fine. (he works on his cars, so he knows how to do that on his own) Another week goes by and he shows up and they said they were almost done. He shows up days later and said, I want my car. They said it will cost over $6000! He asked what for? Well they had continued to work under the hood and the receipt only showed labor costs. He went to drive it and it is now running rough, sputtering and brakes still not fixed and he had to go home and do the front end alignment himself. He took it to them so he would not be doing that work himself at 80 years old. I would highly recommend documenting what is under your hood before dropping your vehicle off. Something shady definitely happened and they held the car hostage for an exorbitant cost of repairs when they were not done. Be warned.

I knew that I didn't have the time and know-how to restore it myself so I wanted to find a good shop and I found D&L. I took my grandfather's old Chevy truck into D&L after doing some research online and talking to a few different shops in the area. I selected D&L because their rates seemed the most reasonable and I liked the family atmosphere that they described on their website. Like most successful businesses, they are busy. And since I'm very impatient, things aren't always done as fast as you'd like them to be done, but most of that isn't on D&L it's more on getting the necessary parts, etc. I have several friends who have restored their own cars, so they are rather particular on how the work is done, etc. and they have all commented on how nicely the work was done by D&L. I would highly recommend D&L to anyone wanting to have a car restored. I was very impressed throughout the process of Louie's knowledge of the specifics of a truck like mine and what was available versus how things were stock, etc. And like a previous reviewer said, I know there are hours of work that I didn't always get billed for, they do this work because they love it and love the results....I think the money is a bonus.
