This is my second time here. My first experience was a pedicure . It was the quickest pedicure I've ever had but I wanted to try this place out one more time. I decided to walk in for a full set. I haven't had a full set in 3 years and wanted to treat myself. They said they could take me in now..... I arrived at 4pm and wasn't done till 7pm ... she started doing my nails around 5:30pm. 1. The lady was putting the powder on the second nail and it was all over the nail bed. The lady looked like she was about to faint ... she said she had to step away.. as the powder is drying I'm trying to remove it from my skin... there was so much powder on my finger nail and skin. She stepped away one more time . As she was away I walked towards another nail tech and I asked her if she's OK should I reschedule can I someone else do my nails she just said oh she just needed a second so I sat down and waited for the lady. 2. She burned/cut me with the nail drill . I have posted some pictures . The lady drilled the nail and nail bed as she moved the machine back n forth. I would flinch and I also would say ouch and she would just say sorry ... towards the end she cut me. 3. I didn't even want her to put polish on my nails anymore at this point when she was putting glitter on the two nails she would put the clear gel coat and I would stick my hand in the polish dryer thing . she would take them out and buff them with a nail file as she would take the shine off. another nail tech told her that the glitter was sticking out. I was there long enough already I just wanted to go home . she asked me how did I like it I said it's fine .I paid her and I tipped her when I got in the car and actually looked at my nails I started to cry. my fingers were burning .they hurt. I called and asked for the manager the lady did not want me to speak to the manager she asked me what was wrong I told her that I was not happy... that my fingers are hurting she burned me/she cut me and I was not happy ... she finally passed the phone to another lady she said she was the manager and to come back so that She can look at my nails . when I'm walking back I realize it's the same lady who did my nails! The lady who did my nails was the manager . the lady who was about to pass out or faint during my full set was the manager... I couldn't believe it. I told her you hurt me and she just kept asking what I wanted... she didn't want to give me my money back. I asked for the name of the nail tech that everyone had an appointment with . When i first tried this nail salon i thought it was great work , then i went back and the nail work seems to be looking less and less as if no effort is put into their customers. They tend to do what they want as far as nail shape and cutting your nails short before they ask you what shape and length. So I have one nail shorter than the other and shape are different with sloppy polish.... I believe one of their nail techs is not even licensed but is learning how to do nails without a license . We have been coming to this place for almost 10 years, we used to love the ladies that used to work here but now the newer ladies they don't want to understand where the customer is coming from which is very unprofessional. Not only that but it seems like they are arguing when explaining the problem and they say they already know how to do their job. We are satisfied with our pedicure, the lady that helped me out even helped me put my shoes on and opened the door for me because I had my baby but the lady that did my sisters eyebrows were not satisfied with because she had started her waxing and left her hanging and then after she was done with her pedicure, she went back to finish her eyebrows and only told her cleanup and ended up leaving her eyebrows thinner and I called her to ask for refund and just wanted to argue. I've been taking my mom to Lake Nails for over a decade. The service has always been great. The manicurists are friendly and pay attention to details. My toes are a mess when I come in, and they tackle them like champs. They are reasonably priced, too. What's interesting to me is that the same technicians are there year in and year out, without much turnover. This speaks volumes to the quality of their business. I had a day full of errands on a Saturday and felt like I needed to treat myself. I'm 9 months pregnant and can't reach my toes anymore and they were feeling swollen from all that running around, so I decided to stop in here for a pedicure. I didn't have an appointment but they took me right away. Rudy or Ruby (I forgot which one it is) did my toes. She immediately asked me if I wanted a massage and turned on the massage chair for me. I was thrilled to see that she cleaned the foot bath in front of me and then turn it on with scalding hot water, rinsed it a few times before she ran me my foot bath. Most places will reuse their water for your foot baths and it's disgusting! I get iffy putting my feet into the foot bath if the water was already running, makes you wonder how many other people used that same water. But not this place, it was fresh running water in a fresh cleaned tub just for my feet! Rudy (or Ruby) was 3 months pregnant and noticed my belly, she got to talking about it right away. I felt so bad that she was pregnant and still leaning down to do my toes, but she assured me she's fine. She also gave me a great foot massage that almost put me to sleep! I told her what I wanted and she said it was a great choice. I got the french tips with glitter pink nail polish with a silver lining and a flower for my toes. She did a great job and has very steady hands! Most nail salons are run by Vietnamese people and since I'm part Vietnamese, I was able to understand them (but they didn't know I am part Vietnamese) and they weren't gossiping about anyone or talking about anyone, it was nice to hear that! They were just talking amongst themselves about their days and whatnot. A few other nail salons would gossip about you, but not this place! After my session, Rudy (or Ruby) asked me if I wanted any other service done, such as gel nails or anything and I said "maybe another time" but I'll definitely be back because of the wonderful service! I usually don't get gel nails but maybe I will for a special occasion or something and come here for it! An hour long pedicure with massage and painted toes and all was $30, it wasn't a bad price! But like I say in most of my reviews, don't give a place a bad review just because you can't afford it. Businesses need to make a living too. I left there feeling better, my feet weren't swollen anymore and even my husband loved the toes, he said I should get my nails done more often. :) read more

I have lived in Menifee my whole life. Lake Nails was the first place my mom ever took me to in order to get my nails done. 15 years later I would have thought I would be treated with some kind of decency. Yet, again and again I have been met with the same; a constant disappointment. If you are a new customer they will treat you kindly, but if you are not they will push you to the side in order to get new business. They have consistently done a half a** job on my nails; both on my hands and feet. They have tried to leave old nail polish on my finger nails while trying to put a new coat on. I have paid for services that were not done in full. Let me explain; if I ask to have the calluses removed from my feet and you don't even try to slightly scrub my feet then I think there's a problem. Again, I am paying for a service. Mind you I don't really have calluses. I just like to have my feet look nicely. I could easily do this by myself.... By buying callus remover from the local Sally's and removing excess skin myself. I am not picky and I don't ask for much. It saddens me to have to say this about this place. To be honest, this is one of the first detailed reviews I have ever written. With that said, Don't go there unless you know who is working on your nails. Julie try's, Moon and the lady she sticks close to- approximately 40 years old....I don't know her name or I would say it, she does eye lashes~ Moon and that lady are not good nail techs. Sue will do a half a** job. The older ladies that primarily work on feet are great! With all that said, Just think before you walk into that nail salon. Do you want to get consistent results from a nail tech? If so, maybe LakeNails is not the place for you.. do you want to constantly look down at your hands and feet and be disappointed at the work done on your nails? Save yourself the money and go to a place that deserves your business. Please go somewhere that treats you the right way. I think we all want the same thing....... A nice place, a place where people treat you kindly, a place that affords you with relaxation.... My tech made me bleed multiple times and took off a chunk of skin. I got a fill on my acrylics and my thumb is really bumpy and two of my nails has polish flaking off and it smells like chemicals. Overall, I would go anywhere else in the area except there. read more

Worst experience ever. Vivian did my nails and was super super pushy for me to add all the extra stuff without telling me a price, a few times she even started doing the extra without asking saying that it was better that way, and charged me for it. Also she said I had a hang nail which I don't think I had and ripped it, ripping all the way down my nail causing my cuticles to bleed. She ignored it like it wasn't a problem, it hurt and soon after I left paying way too much for it and my toe began to swell and got infected in my cuticles. A doctor, some antibiotics, urgent care visit later cause the infection started spreading up my foot and my leg, they had to cut it open to drain it. The most excruciating pain I've ever had. Plus a huge medical bill later. We went back in showed them the pictures and told them what happened and all they said was hope you feel better. I will never go back and suggest the same to you or atleast don't get Vivian. read more

She was rough with my manicure and kept pulling my hands and pushing them away when she was done. She stopped while she was doing my manicure a few times to make calls on her phone. Once she called the CVS pharmacy and had the phone on speaker. Another time she stopped my manicure to call someone else from the back to to another walk ins nails. When it came time to do my nails the lady pulled out the light for my gel manicure and it was disgusting. So dirty and covered in dirt and also had a whole bunch of nail polish everywhere.
