Not for us. I was so excited to come here, but left really disappointed. Sitting inside of an authentic dining car is awesome, and the staff was friendly, however the food did not live up to Guy's interpretation of this diner. My utensils were dirty and our bagels were so stale and dried out that it was difficult to bite into them. The pancakes are really large, but are very dense and not fluffy at all. The prices were also high, $17 +/- each for entrees, which should deliver a quality breakfast! So sad it wasn't what we expected.

Freshly squeezed orange juice

We were seated immediately, although it was a holiday morning, and very busy everywhere. Our drinks came quickly: Two fresh orange juices that were tart enough to belie "from concentrate" status. The lox platter on a toasted bagel was amazing, but my husband's classic quiche was very cold in the middle. It took more than 15 minutes to get it back. I was nearly done with my breakfast by the time his arrived. Our waitress was energetic and kept checking on us; the bathrooms are very clean, and the people-watching is excellent: It's a downtown cross-section of people. If wheelchair access is needed, the ramp is in the rear of the restaurant, at the back of the parking lot.

We were seated immediately. Although the counter doesn't have coat hangers. Service was good, nothing to complain Food came out a bit slow but that was fine. There was a lot of food. The prices are a bit on the higher side in my opinion but the portion was huge My french toast had a few pieces of blueberries. I wish they added more. But the toast was good

We went here because it had been on Diners, DriveIn's, & Dive's. It is small but wasn't crowded when we went at 1:30pm on Thursday. Our waitress was happy & informative. They have different drinks I got a crème soda-yummy & my husband got a Mexican coke which was just a regular Coke made in Mexico. Anyway service was great food was excellent except for my friend's fish that was undercooked. She ate what she could & didn't want to return it. The smash burgers the guys got were fantastic. My husband got a bowl of chili that he said was spicy good!! My pulled pork with egg was great but I asked for the bbq sauce on the side & thank goodness I did because it was spicy I used mayo. All in all a good place to try.

Eggs Chesapeake - poached eggs, hollandaise sauce, seafood cakes - YES!!!

Delicious and friendly! Their seafood cakes are awesome and the sauce has a hot tangy bite that is the perfect complement. Their eggs Benedict was awesome - love the bread texture. If you are bougie get the Eggs Chesapeake - yum!!

Tempura Haddock fish fry

The food here is fantastic. I had the Tempura Haddock fish fry. It was a nice tasty and light batter. I liked the Mac salad and coleslaw. Also had a cup of French onion soup. The whole meal was great. Hubby had straight hand cut fries with a broiled Cajun haddock. He was happy. He can't eat coleslaw or Mac salad due to allergies so they substituted roasted cauliflower. Service was good. It's not a big restaurant but it wasn't over crowded. They do let you rsvp.

My leftovers of my absolutely DELICIOUS meal! Canadian bacon, scrambled eggs and AMAZING French toast.

I was apprehensive about stopping here because the reviews weren't that great. Their reviews on Google were a little better so we took a chance because my husband doesn't eat pork and most places didn't have any turkey options- so the turkey sausage got us here. Well he ordered but they were out of turkey sausage the waitress was so sweet and accommodating and they did a side of grilled chicken for him which was done really well and surprisingly tasty! Our food was SOOOOO good! I'm so mad I didn't take pictures! The potatoes/home fries were to perfection and my favorite! The French toast was a close second. My belly is SO full and SO happy! The pic is my food that was leftover that I will eat in the morning before our early flight.

Service was great, waitress kept checking on our coffee etc. my French toast was delicious and so were the home fries. Coffee was good and they did have plant based milk!

(Also- the hours online and Yelp/Google Maps are different than what's posted on the door.) I decided to see if the door was open in case the sign just wasn't flipped to "open". It was UNLOCKED, and so was the second door! I was able to go INSIDE the cafe, even though it was clearly empty and no one was there...no food in the display case either. I even called out "hello??" a couple times to no response. Why were both doors unlocked if the cafe was clearly closed (even though according to the hours on the door it should be open...)

The first thing I appreciated was, the Owners and staff members. They are genuinely, a very happy group of people. They are super friendly and engaging. I also like the fact you can dine in or even do takeout. Today I decided on takeout.. the serving sizes are very decent, and the prices are more than fair. I strongly recommend checking them out. Breakfast sandwich- choice of bacon or sausage. Really nice satisfying sandwich. I really like the type of roll that was used. Plus the sandwich wasn't greasy or sloppy at all. Breakfast bowl- For me, I was able to share with my wife. The to-go container was pack. Every bite full had meat, cheese potatoes, and eggs. The ingredient ratio was spot on. You didn't have to much of this and not enough of that. Chicken and waffle- breast was moist and seasoned well for my liking. I loved the waffle flavor. Whatever waffle mix they are using. They need to keep using it and never change up.

Something I noticed is none of the staff in the kitchen wears hats or hair nets and some of the females hair is a little crazy... Steak benny 8/10 Not bad. Potatoes were very plain. Nutella and banana crepe 7/10 Had a hair in it (which brings me back to my hair net point above...) Kyle still ate it though. Dulce de leche crepe 9/10 Caramel sauce was really good. Whipped crepe was delicious and perfectly sweet. The walnuts were good, but I would prefer them to be chopped up a little smaller to be more bite sized. It has no more than 12 tables, no booths, and the entrance is a mess. It's tiny and the hostess is not at the entrance, but further inside the restaurant and it causes a lot of congestion. The service was quick and our waitress was nice, but the food was not great. We ordered the strawberry crepe, local eggs breakfast special, and the seafood crepe. The local egg breakfast was good and basic so it's hard to mess that up, but the crepes were not good, especially the seafood, but the side salad that came with it was delicious. I don't plan on coming back here and wouldn't recommend it to friends/family.

They close by 2:00 pm so you gotta get over there early! Sometimes the line is out the door, but we got lucky and were seated immediately. Our hot coffee came out very quickly, and our food plates were out a few minutes later. The challenge this week is to find KETO breakfast items and I was not disappointed. I ordered the 3 Little Pigs omelette. It comes with toast and hash brown potatoes which I packed up to go for my husband. My omelette was full of bacon, breakfast sausage and ham bits. Topped with a layer of cheddar cheese, this fit the KETO requirement on this day. My husband chose the Chicken Club omelet with hash brown and rye toast. He thoroughly enjoyed his toast with their signature Peach Jam, a real treat. We always feel a little cramped at the Poked Yolk, as the tables are set close together. All in all, a pleasant experience! Extensive gluten free and keto menu items are available
