He visited on 24 October, and said he'd have an estimate by the middle of the following week. I contacted him at the end of that week (2 Nov) stating that I hadn't heard back and re-requesting the estimate. He replied on 3 Nov stating he hadn't yet received estimates for the excavation for the egress window and would get back to me. I emailed him again on 19 Nov asking again for the estimate and he replied that he couldn't come up with a contractor for excavation and could not do the work. This information would have been helpful several weeks earlier, but now a lot of time has been wasted and any chance of getting it done before winter is gone. I would not use this company for any work going forward, and I will not recommend them to anyone for any purpose.

If you want a high quality and reliable window, manufactured and installed by craftsman who care…read moreabout the quality of their work, accompanied by exceptional customer service and at an affordable price, you will do no better than to deal with the folks at Best Window and Door Co. I had them replace all the windows in my house (except for one window in the garage) 23 years ago, and I have had NO problems with them since. Not one. Seals, screens and operation are just as good as when first installed. That's amazing! So I know this company well. Earlier this summer, unfortunately, someone shot a BB hole in my middle bay window, breaking the seal, of course. So 3 days ago I had the Best Window guys come back and replace it. And while they were there, I also had them replace the one remaining original aluminum window in the garage. Again, it was an excellent installation job and I am very happy with the results of both new windows and the pleasantness of dealing with the owner and his employees throughout the process. You will not make a mistake going with windows from this company. Carole P. Lafayette, In.

We weren't sure what to expect but were pleasantly surprised! We went to their office early the following week, chose our roofing material and gutters. Once our insurance completed their part, the entire process was completed within a few weeks. The Knox crew arrived early in the morning and the new roof was installed within about 6 hours!!! We were totally impressed. Our gutter system was installed a few days later. The crews were professional and very efficient! Highly recommended roofing services!

We had done a great deal of research and found that while they may have cost a little more than other "Home Improvement" stores, their quality and customer service is matched by none. We have a great salesman who came to our home, helped us select colors, styles and details. The installation crews were professional and exceptional. Our neighbors went the "other" way to save a few dollars and ended up with doors that leaked and their calls for repair/replacement ignored. If you want quality and exceptional customer service, Pella is the ONLY choice. My doors are BEAUTIFUL!!

They show up bright and early, they work hard all day, and the quality speaks for itself. Even in the challenging times we are in right now, they don't compromise safety, quality, or deadlines. Any issues we had were addressed immediately and if adjustments were needed, they got done quickly and professionally just like everything else. DJ will not stand for any of his crew or subcontractors not performing as absolute professionals and that speaks to the character you'll find when hiring him. I absolutely enjoyed the entire process start to finish and would hire him again in a heartbeat.

I can not begin to express our disappointment in quality work, lack of communication, and ruining the shape of the 25 year old trees. They will never look the same again. (Credentials: My partner is a state certified aborist visiting from MA. Her opinion below) Birches are meant to be fully shaped! They didn't ask what the homeowner wanted and, when asked, disregarded the concern halfway through cutting all the way up the side of the trees. We had hired an expert and were left with poorly shaped trees and ruts in the yard from the bucket truck. Sadly, they will not take responsibility for either or offer to fix these oversights. They did not consult the homeowner or walk the property with her or ask what her priorities are. No regard for customers' desires. The foreman stated, "This is how the owner wants the trees to look." (The foreman shared that he worked for the state highway department. I have seen they often trim trees back to the trunk ) My partner, a professional state certified arborist, call for no more than 30% trimming and shared, "They were just lazy, and didn't want to climb to remove the proper braches. They should have consulted the customer." Is this the work you want from an expert? Now the trees will never be the same, The lower growth will NEVER COME BACK. Update: The customer, my mother, is so incredibly unhappy with the work and doesn't want to revisit how upset she is. Nothing can be done to fix the atrocities done to the trees, and she doesn't want to break down over the phone. I am speaking on what she can't bear to share: how ruined the trees were after signing a contract. You should be ashamed for taking advantage of the elderly with a contract missing industry standard language of "remove branches 2 in diameter" or "remove branches 10 ft and below."
