Ordered windows Aug 8. As of today, Dec. 16, still no windows. One is a specialty window, but 5 months? Not happy.

These folks have no business doing sunrooms. Took 2 extra months past initial promise date to finish. Not because they started work late, but because they made so many mistakes. Bad roof cuts, leaked badly. Didn't check call before you dig. Water line never identified. Cost me 4700 to relocate. Now the whole structure sounds like i live in a popcorn machine. Mini explosions every 6 seconds today. May 1, 2026. Had it for 2 1/2 years now. They tried making it stop, no answers. Promised to replace warped moulding. Never happened! Foreman communication was non-existent. He bragged that "if it weren't for me Charles would still be peddling windows!" What a pompous ass! Maybe Charles will read this and do something! unfortunately I can not put zero stars. $10,000 bought me a lot of heartache. Unfortunately I can not post photos here but have shared them elsewhere. What is really bad is I was going to eat my loss until slickstr23@gmail.com showed up uninvited at my door. He got an earful then promised me resolution. It took 5 months to get my shower installed, and the visit mentioned was Dec 16, 2025. I have 8 photos of evidence. 8 if you decide to go wtith them keep a well detailed paper trail. Our windows are faulty. Moisture gets between the glass. We have contacted Surbers several times about this issue. This last time someone did come out. He checked the windows and got the number off of each window that Surbers needs to order replacement parts on our windows. That was the end of it. I called the office for an update, after waiting a month. She said she would call back the next day after contacting the supplier. No call back. I called again yesterday. She said she would call me back today with an update from the supplier. No call back. The don't stand behind their word or their products. read more

Had dealings with Surber's while living and working at major hospital in Anderson from 1990 to 2012. Always had good products and service at a reasonable price. Moved to Indy in 2019 and in Sept 2024 wanted to replace all windows in my new home. Wanted to continue to a local company that I had had good experience with in the past...so I contacted Surber's. Sales pitch and measurements went well. Ordered window in 2 separate orders. one for back porch and one for all the windows in the rest of the house. Estimated 12-16 week delivery time. After not hearing anything at 14 weeks reached out...no response. 16 weeks...no response. At 20+ weeks visited Anderson location to check and found out there had been a clerical error and the windows for the house had not been ordered. Surber's apologized and said they would place rush order for the windows....another 12 week for delivery. Since it was now was now winter (February), not a problem. Mistakes happen. Fast forward 12 weeks. Called to check status . Was told "Charles, the owner is handling and he will call me back". No Call back. Waited another week called again...."Charles will call you back" ...no call back. While working in the area stopped in to check status . Spoke with Charles and he apologized and said it was his fault and would refund the 50% I had put down. I was hesitant to take refund... because we really wanted our windows replaced. He said it would be another 3 weeks for the windows. I said i would discuss with my wife if the windows would be in in 3 weeks. Then he said he couldn't make any promises it may take longer. After 8 months of waiting for windows, it was going to be at least another month and maybe the windows would be in. 9 MONTHS (or more) AFTER ORIGINAL ORDER WE MIGHT GET THE WINDOWS. I TOOK THE REFUND. Luckily all I lost was time and any increase/inflation in cost I will have to pay when I go to another company to get my windows. Surber's has lost a return customer that had previously recommended them. If you actually want windows.....you might want to consider somewhere else. read more

Every once in a while you find a company the operates well to the beat of there own drum. Getting new windows? Well Anderson and Bee windows both do a great quality job... But wait Surber's also does this and for HALF the price in most instances. I was told by family is how I heard about it. I replaced the aluminum old windows in 4 windows with mid range windows. We paid 2,800 dollars. How much have you paid for 4 windows? We need more and We WILL be calling Surber"s! Thanks Surber"s. You earned this review! Hope for great things for you read more

I don't typically leave reviews but felt I needed to because of the blatantly false review by Junie. Surbers is a family owned business we've trusted for years for many installations. Anytime we've had something that's been broke that they installed they've fixed it. We had one such case during the pandemic which did take a little bit longer than normal, but that's true with all business. When we've had products broken that they didn't install they've always been upfront that they don't stock or repair other companies products but can possibly replace it. They've never mislead or pressured us to do so however. I don't know Junie but I know Surbers and their family. Her review is very misguided. read more

Had windows installed in November 2021 and after they were installed, our painter came in and covered all of our windows with a thin plastic material to stop paint from hitting our windows. As soon as they sealed the windows with the plastic the wind that seeps through the windows expanded the plastic covering like a balloon. We contacted them, they came out and acknowledged the installation error but have done nothing to remedy our concerns in 9-months. Stay clear of these people. read more
