We're so grateful we found Reid's Home Repair for our big basement refinish project - great work…read moreand great humans! Our home was built in 1913 and gut rehabbed in 2024. However, the basement was not finished, but had rough-in plumbing installed. We were looking for someone to finish the basement (4 rooms total), including adding an additional bedroom with closet and full bathroom. This included all electrical, plumbing, framing, drywall, door installation, flooring, trim, and painting. Mike was quick to respond to my original inquiry, come check out the space, and provide a quote. He was timely, friendly, and easy to collaborate with. We changed our mind a few times on final design - we appreciate how patient he was with us while we narrowed in on the final plan. The final quote was very detailed and he provided helpful information on the areas for potential cost increase (given that the home is old and there could have been unexpected things identified after work begun). This helped us set our expectations for the project. During the project, he kept us up to date on progress or concerns and kept the area very clean (ensuring very little debris made its way outside the basement into our home). He managed all of the subcontractors (electric, plumbing, carpet, etc) so we didn't need to worry about a thing. Made it super easy by having one point of contact! His work speaks for itself. There were a lot of difficult aspects of the basement to figure out (i.e. uneven walls and ceilings, tricky vents or pipes along the ceiling, water/electrical shutoffs needing to be accessible, etc), but he managed to turn the space into exactly what we were looking for. The attention to detail makes all the difference! In the end, the project took about two months (including carpet installation) and final cost was in line with the estimate. I'd recommend Reid's Home Repair to anyone!

We set an appointment for him to give us a price and a sample 'board' so we could pick a color and texture/design. He was extremely professional and the project very competitively priced so we set a date for the job to be performed which included removal of the existing roof and inspection of the underlay to ensure no leaks. His installation crew arrived promptly on the established date and quickly prepared our property so as to protect plants, flowers, bushes, lawn, with plastic sheeting. The preparation and installation team was courteous and professional as expected. The job was completed in one long work day and, to ensure no damage to mower blades, etc., the yard was magnetically 'groomed' to pick up any stray nails! Once the project started. I was kept informed daily of progress for that day and expected progress for the next day. The end result was amazing and I am extremely pleased. They warranty their work and the products they use so when I had an issue with one of the shower doors, I sent an email stating the issue. I received a reply from one of the owners and a text from the project manager within an hour saying they would take care of it. The project manager was sick the day of the email but came out the next morning and fixed the problem. All within 24 hrs of my email! No questions asked! They just took cared the problem asap! These people are AMAZING and I will use them for any other remodel projects I may have in the future.
