It seemed like they didn't even read my online submission as they called and immediately tried to schedule an appointment without providing a quote. After declining a $600-$800 amount, we hung up. I then received multiple phone calls from a couple of different people and agreed upon a $500 = tax for ~$542 to replace the rails, rollers and fix the locking mechanism. When the apparent "unrelated" worker showed up, he informed me that they did not replace rails (Youtube videos showed otherwise but regardless...) but he would clean it. When he had completed the roller replacement, he was unaware he needed to fix the locking mechanism. He then replaced it as it was a mechanism that had to be replaced vs. repaired as it was enclosed. When it was all said and done, the rollers were replaced and the lock was replaced but the rail was not replaced and I was charged ~$30 more than agreed upon which was already higher than I thought it should be. The worker was excellent but the rest of the experience was lass than desirable in my opinion.

We wanted the 24 month SAC financing, and the entire conversation there was mention of that. The job was recently completed and those were not the terms of the contract. All I have to say, double check what you are signing, even if the whole conversation prior to signing is indicative of the deal you think you are getting, double check that you are not being misled and if you think you are getting 24 months interest free, make sure that is what is in the contract. Don't be trusting and complacent that all salesmen are not slippery. It is a total salesman move and it works - very scummy business move. And ask for an itemized list of what you are getting, like what the shower seat costs, what the caddy costs. These totals of this job and this job - very blase and vanilla. So, the numbers can be padded to absorb the "sale" that is being offered. Bee did nice work, but the salesman side, in our experience, was very misleading. Now we are stuck with financing charges that we were led to believe in our conversation, would be avoided if paid within 24 months - the only reason we decided to do the job.

She said she didn't think he would ever leave. These salesmen are trained like navy seals. Please please please be aware of these tactics and don't be afraid to tell them to leave. A few weeks ago, my wife and I purchased a new home with a walkout basement bedroom and an egress window. My wife claimed the room as her own, but shortly after we moved in, she discovered a wet spot in the carpeting near the window. I didn't know where to turn, so I consulted ChatGPT, which pointed me to Windowman. It turned out to be the best recommendation I could have received. I soon learned that Rance is widely regarded as the foremost expert in egress windows in the entire state. I called the company, and Rance reached out promptly and arranged to come by the next day. I braced myself for the worst -- a high-pressure sales pitch and a bill somewhere between $5,000 and $10,000. But Rance was unlike any contractor I've dealt with. He assessed the problem, and almost immediately told me I didn't need a new window at all -- he could repair the existing one. I was relieved. When I asked when he could do the work, he said he'd return at the end of his day to handle it himself. When I asked about cost, he told me not to worry, and we eventually settled on a price that was almost embarrassingly reasonable. True to his word, Rance returned late on a Friday afternoon and completed the repair in just a few hours. But he didn't stop there. Rather than simply fixing the problem, he had cleaned up the entire area and replaced all the surrounding metal trim, leaving the window looking and functioning like new.
