Coffee with whipped cream and other delicious treats!

Such a sweet spot! We stopped here looking for a cup of coffee and left with a delicious coffee (with whipped cream, a great touch!) and some treats. It appeared to be family-operated and you could really tell they pour love into their business and goodies. Sweet, attentive service. Will be back!

My last review was four years ago. I ordered a strawberry Charlotte cake in August for a client. They were over the moon with the light yet flavorful filling. Fresh strawberries! Today, I picked up my favorite black bottom cake. So rich and decadent. Highly recommend this for the chocolate lover in your life. I stopped by to pre-order a pumpkin and an apple pie for Thanksgiving. She makes it the traditional way with butter. Very hard to find these days. Glad to support a small business. Do not miss pre-ordering her quiches for the holiday breakfast for your guests that you are having over. They are divine.

I have come here a couple of times and each time I come customer service is friendly. Items are all fresh and tasty. There is always a nice variety to choose from. Cookies are always a good choice, cant go wrong with that. Some items are a bit on the pricier side but then again so is everything else (hence eggs) Parking is located in the back of the business or on the side of the hill They do accept Apple pay, Credit cards and Debit cards

I failed to write a review for the Carrot Cake that we orders at Christmas. 1/4-sheet of deliciousness that was enjoyed by many! And because of nut allergies, I also had Phoebe make a few carrot Cake minis without nuts to make sure everyone could have the experience. Recently it was my friends mom's 90th birthday. I asked Phoebe for a Chinese style cake with Whipped Cream instead of Buttercream and fruit. I also asked her to write something in Chinese on top. She had me order a Mixed Fruit & Cream 1/4-sheet for 15 guests. Ringed with Ladyfingers all the way around, this cake was magnificent! Not super sweet, subtlety sweet, whipped cream was definitely NOT from a can, lots of fruit and mom was able to read and understand what Phoebe had written. Nothing positive comments on the appearance and taste. Thank you Phoebe and the team at Ladyfingers!

Wicked never looked (or tasted) better. Black bottom cake.

Ladyfingers did it again! For my daughter's 7th birthday, Phoebe made the most amazing Wicked-themed cake -- half pink and sparkly, half green and witchy. It was gorgeous, fun, and such a hit with the kids. And of course, their Black Bottom Cake was as delicious as ever.

Ladyfingers Strawberry Chantilly Mousse. Outstanding!! Recommend as a light dessert; Thanks my friend. ;-

Amazing desserts and customer service with a smile. Strawberry Chantilly Mousse shown

    Giant black bottom sheet cake!

We ordered a full black bottom sheet cake for an event this weekend. They were all SUPER friendly and helpful with getting the decorations just how we wanted it. It looks beautiful and just perfect for our event. Everything in the bakery looks and smells amazing too. We will definitely be back. Thank you to Phoebe and everyone there!

There are glass cases full of breads, cakes, eclairs, tarts and other delicious looking baked goods. On the top of the cases are jars with a variety of cookies to choose from, as well as, one of my favorites, their lemon shortbread bar. The lemon shortbread bar is amazing. They stack the wedges in a large lidded glass jar, each wedge separated with a sheet of white parchment paper. I believe this is one of the hidden gems at La Farine. The shortbread crust Is tender and buttery and hold holds it shape well when you bite into it. The lemon curd is creamy with the right amount of tang, and there is a thin sweet layer of crunch on top of curd that puts this bar over the top. The balance of textures and flavors is perfect. I also highly recommend the chocolate eclairs. Each one is filled with a generous amount of piped whipped cream, a pate choux with good flavor and texture, and topped with a rich, silky layer of chocolate ganache. Overall their prices are reasonable -lemon shortbread bar $3, and chocolate eclair 3.50. I decided to give La Farine four stars because on a previous visit I had a slice of the Moka cake, and was not impressed. It is an attractive and delicious looking cake with lovely pale moka colored frosting surrounding layers of dark chocolate cake, however, the frosting lacked the coffee and chocolate flavor combo that I was looking forward to, and sadly the frosting was more waxy than creamy. That being said, I will definitely be back to search for the next delicious gems at this very lovely bakery on Piedmont Ave.

Sometimes, the pizzas are a little overcooked which causes the crust to be extra crispy and a little burnt. But it doesn't change the deliciousness of it. It doesn't matter what they put on the pizza of the day, I know it's going to be tasty. Arizmendi's pizza 100% makes me forget about meat on pizza. I have tried a couple of their baked goods, which have always been good as well. They also have soups of the day, which I surprisingly haven't tried. If you're ordering more than 1 pizza, I'd recommend calling ahead of time so that you don't have to wait a while. There's typically 2 cashiers, always a small line, but you'd be in and out under 30 minutes max. No music, just the sounds of pure hustle trying to get everyone served. There is limited indoor and outdoor seating so keep that in mind. Parking may be tricky as well as there are a lot of surrounding businesses.

Everyone has causes they care about, and many of us do our own advocacy in different ways, but not everyone wants to sign petitions while trying to cross the street or grab lunch. Today, one person became very insistent when I politely declined. He then accused me (and apparently others) of not wanting to engage because of his skin color, which was completely inappropriate and inaccurate. My decision had nothing to do with our skin .. I simply was not interested in signing anything or stopping to discuss a petition at that moment. It escalated to the point where two other women nearby also felt uncomfortable enough to respond. One said, "This is not the way to do it," and another said, "I don't even have money." It was unfortunate that his approach put people in that position. Just a heads up for anyone visiting: be prepared to be approached at the crosswalk, especially since the light can be long. On a positive note: the pizzeria itself was busy, but everyone inside was pleasant, I found a quiet corner to sit, the coffee was warm, and my $3 slice and $1.25 coffee hit the spot.
