This is our favorite restaurant in Hannibal. The flavors are incredible. The restaurant doesn't take reservations and it is small. Be prepared to wait or go early or later. Everything we have ever had is amazing. There is a little patio for warm weather.

1900's home long since turned restaurant. Going to grannies for company and a meal. Mismatched place settings and seating. Friendly, smiling, casual service. Simple flavorful meals. Not the finest cheese or meat cuts, but nicely prepared and satisfying. Nice selection of house wines reasonably priced. Very quaint. I would return.

Friends we were visiting suggested we try a new restaurant in Hannibal. So glad we did! It is in a historical house that has a mixed decor of around the world art and decor. The space is quite small, so be prepared to be close to other tables. We went on a Thursday evening and they had a male musician playing guitar and singing in a room next to the diners. It might have been a touch too loud, but the music was nice and mellow. Our waitress was prompt, professional and friendly. The house wines were quite tasty (Chardonnay and Sangiovese). Each of the entree's we ordered was flavorful and the portion sizes were appropriate. We would reorder the same items, but I would like to try something different next time. We ordered: Côtelettes d'agneau Our French Village style seasoned LAMB Chop. Bayou BBQ Pork Chop African Peri Peri Pork Chop Coconut Shrimp LaBinnah Bistro is definitely a pleasurable dining experience!

We're big fans of LaBinnah! The food is always delicious, and the staff is always friendly! It's a fun experience too. It's in a vintage house and is very charming. The chef does a great job with everything! Also, make sure to get a cheesecake, because it's the best we've had!

What a great place for a dinner on their outside patio! We were seated by the owner and she told us about her own favorites from the menu (we asked!). Service was great and they were very attentive. Menu options were also great, hard to choose from so many good options! We had their chicken dish that was served with rice, reminded us of a dish our grandmothers used to make for us; we Also had their Argentinian Chimichuri with a pork chop; and, for dessert, we had to have their baklava! Their baklava is home made and had a great taste and consistency as a real baklava should be made! We recommend the bistro and will be back again when we are in the area!

A hidden gem! We found this place when another place was booked, and we were so impressed. The restaurant is located in a charming old two-story house. Soft lighting and and eclectic mix of big band era music (and maybe some French?) set the tone. Couples and friends all seemed content. The bistro describes its menu as a culinary adventure around the globe. There was a broad variety of food, and almost everything was gluten free. That impressed me. I had Shrimp Istanbul: "Authentic, exotic mixture of fresh shrimp, tomatoes, garlic, golden raisins, blended herbs and a hint of cinnamon! Pan-tossed, Arif's grandma's recipe!" Hubby had "Saumon farci (aux fruits de mer) French style salmon, filled with seafood, rice, dash of cheese, and hint of fresh herbs." Both entrees were served with scrumptious herbed potatoes and savory asparagus. Since we were away for the weekend, we splurged and had dessert. A Ghirardelli chocolate cake for him and a bit of Dutch Chocolate liquor for me. Yum. This is a must-visit place for any foodie going to Hannibal. It was the highlight of our visit.

Everything here is amazing. The staff were friendly and helpful. The food was out of this world... and nothing you would expect in a small town. The atmosphere was a charming mix of elegance and casualness seamlessly combined. From the beautiful table cloths and chair covers to the bandana napkins this restaurant welcomes you in for a casual night of dinning to a perfect place to dress up a bit and have a date night. They offer a lovely wine selection and lots of beers. We had a couple appetizers: The Danish Royal and Ulysses. The danish royal is Brie cheese with dried fruit and flavored crackers. The Ulysses is homemade pesto, homemade salsa with parmesan and Romano cheeses served over toasted bread. Both were wonderful but the Ulysses was the winner. No one in our party was disappointed with their entrees. The New York strip steak was tender, the shrimp Istanbul completely disappeared and the Chicago chicken is great for those who love a touch of sweetness to their meat. Desserts were all delicious and depend on your mood. I don't remember all the names, but the baklava is really great and well worth trying. We had a cheesecake with a lemon zest which was tasty. Also a chocolate cake slice which is very decadent and goes great with a Turkish coffee. My only wish was this place was closer to my home out of state so I could go more often. I look forward to my next visit to Hannibal so I can come back here!

After we paid (and tipped 30%), we were abruptly told by the hostess to leave the table and move outside to finish the drinks we had just ordered. We awkwardly gathered our belongings without protest and were rushed outside unassisted, with the other patrons staring at us. As we exited, we heard the server reappear and graciously apologize to the waiting party, offering them champagne. The table outside was set when we arrived but then actively cleared by the busser after we sat down. No one came back to check in. We felt unwelcome and quickly left. It was unnecessarily uncomfortable and put a damper on what was supposed to be a celebratory meal. This was a service failure. I understand the need to turn tables over quickly, but we should have been given at least 5 minutes notice, especially when the kitchen is running behind. Alternatively, the drinks could have been taken off the bill and we could have left outright. Even help moving or any involvement from our server or the manager would have been appreciated, but they were not present. Having had many great experiences at Vicia, I expected more from the take root hospitality group. We'll give Vicia another chance, but I'll be cautious about trying one of their sister restaurants again With the impending closure, this one may have already given up.

The cocktail menu and RW menu were fabulous, and yet bringing it all to life with effusive knowledge and enthusiasm about the various dishes was our outstanding server, Corinthian. She shared interesting and incredible insight on each offering, making us feel valued and appreciated patrons, advising based on our interests and likes to help us make decisions. Each of us was pleased with our various selections. While the soups were tempting on a cold night, I was delighted with the French-inspired Lyonnaise salad complete with a perfectly prepared soft boiled egg. My panko-encrusted swordfish with burre Blanc sauce was light and tasty. The gooey butter beignets were light on the gooey butter custard-like filling, as promised by our server (and more special than the typical St. Louis dessert), sprinkled with powdered sugar and drizzled with chocolate. The ample dessert (3) provided take home leftovers for delicious breakfast treats. The cocktails I enjoyed included a Japanese Old Fashioned & an Espresso Martini, both very good. Initially upon arrival, an adjacent table of younger women was unusually loud (in a space that doesn't absorb noise well) that I feared would spoil our evening; rather than approach them (tempted) or engage management, I glared a few times at them and it seemed to have resolved. Overall, this was a very enjoyable, comfortable, and satisfying dinner; we would return.

I ordered a smoked turkey soup while hubby ordered up his signature French Onion soup - we also ordered up a 1/2 charcuterie board - good news? The soups were just great, really. We ate 'em up quickly! The charcuterie board? Ok - where to start? The salami and prosciutto were great. The cheddar cheese was way too basic and (dare I say) a couple pieces were hardening up- yikes! Fresh it was not. The other cheese was unable to be ID'd and was kind of "bread like" - not good. But the bread (crostini)? Oh my goodness- hard as a rock. Not good at all. So we ate up the meat, some of the cheddar - and left most of that funky cheese and that hard bread. The hummus and fig spread was great, though - so no issues there. Hmm. So this was a mixed bag. But the surprise came - partly my fault, I know - I asked for a shot of their most expensive Scotch on the rocks. I should have asked the price - just over $100 for a shot! We didn't know this and only wish the bartender would have asked me to confirm the order by saying "the one I have is over $100/shot - are you sure you want it!" - but that didn't happen, darn it. So we paid up - and I swore never to order nothing but basic Scotch going forward! So - the soups and beers were great - but we suggest staying away from the charcuterie board until the bread and cheese selections are tweaked a bit more!

We started with the Korean fried cauliflower and it was honestly some of the best I've ever had. The batter was light, fluffy, and crispy, and the gochujang sauce with the mayo was sweet and sticky in the best way. Since it's a butchery, we had to try the steaks. I ordered the 4oz filet Oscar style. The meat was tender and very well seasoned, the crab was fresh, and the homemade hollandaise really pulled it all together. My husband had the ribeye. It was a flavorful cut, a little fatty (as ribeye tends to be), but exactly what you'd expect from that cut. The steaks come with a twice-baked potato and vegetable (or you can swap for different vegetables). The potato was flavorful but fairly dense. We also did the bread service - it was good, but felt a bit pricey for the portion. We ended with the flourless chocolate torte, which was very rich and the perfect way to finish the meal - especially on Valentine's Day. Overall, the food was good and the menu is solid. The quality was there, but the portions, bread service and sides didn't fully meet expectations. That said, it was still a lovely experience and a great date-night spot.
