    In-house made tiramisu!

Wow! What a wonderful and delicious surprise! The food and ambiance were perfect. We were seated quickly, and our order was taken at our table in a timely manner. We order the spaghetti and gemelli with meatballs and the homemade marinara sauce was PERFECTLY delectable! I recommend getting it "Dirty" (green pepper and onion minced and cooked into the sauce) and though my spaghetti was just fine, I REALLY preferred my wife's gemelli. The service was Blue Ribbon! We ordered the tiramisu to go and they, knowing we had to drive 75 miles, gently put it in a bag with a Ziploc bag of ice included. The ice and tiramisu made the trip. I thought I had died and gone to heaven with the first bite. Yes.... the food is made fresh and by the chef. The ambiance was perfect making you want to stay awhile with nostalgic Italian crooners\music softly playing in a dining area with original construction brick and a tin ornate ceiling. There is a small wicker basket of red and black checkers at each table. You can play checkers on the checkered tablecloth while you wait for your food. HOW COOL IS THAT! You don't have to get to your opponent's home row to feel like a KING at this fine dining restaurant. It is worth the drive from anywhere. We will be back.

The atmosphere transports you somewhere else.

Experience Sicilian cuisine at its finest with Grandma's recipe served by a skilled cook who creates dishes that are exponentially flavorful and true to their Italian roots. The peaceful atmosphere transports diners to the heart of Italy.

Very unorganized. Short staffed for a large event. Couldn't get waited on after waiting forever so we left.

We stayed across the street at Main Street B&B and this place was recommended for dinner. We had…read moredinner here both nights of our trip lol. We split a thin crust pizza and garlic cheese bread the first night. The pizza was delicious with a great crust. The garlic bread and the included red sauce for dipping was phenomenal. The second night, my husband got the same pizza and I tried their manicotti, along with more garlic cheese bread. The manicotti wasn't my favorite, so I'd get their pizza or try another pasta in the future. Our server was super nice and answered my questions and the ambiance of the place indicated you will feel comfortable in shorts and tees like we were in, but you can also dress fancier and feel good.

The place deserves a 3.9, but I only gave it a 3.0 as it committed an unpardonable sin: the credit…read morecard surcharge (or as they call it here: "ADMIN FEE"). Accordingly the Merchants Payments Coalition the credit card surcharge/admin fee, has increased from 2.02% in 2010 to 2.35% in 2024. Now while I agree this seems a little high, it's not catastrophic, and I have trouble believing this 0.33% increase has directly led to this brave new world of bifurcated billing: one price for cash and second price that is somewhat more than 0.33% greater. Well it has at the The Brick Oven, as I was charged 3.75% (see photo). If your going charge me more to use my credit card, then you need inform me. And as the only thing I really demand from capitalism is transparent pricing, do owners really want to start off my dining experience with a review of how it ends? Well instead this place chose to avoid this checkered conversation by annotating the bottom of my bill accordingly. Dining here was supposed to a moment to relax with my wife and think some very Twainian thoughts, and not about conducting some financial analysis. But I guess that's the last memory the owner wants to impart. Our server (the guy who lives above the place), was excellent and I feel bad about taking the difference between 3.75% and my 2% credit card cash back out of his tip, but something must be done. Btw: Whenever I'm asked to choose between paying more or paying cash, I always have a distinct feeling it's less about saving a dollar in credit card fees and more about saving 20 dollars in taxes.

There's both tables and booths along the walls. If you're in a larger party I def recommend calling ahead. We've had cocktails here, chicken parm sandwich, grilled chicken panino sandwich, fratellis salad, chicken Alfredo, tutto mare, spaghetti, the al formaggio, and the affogato. Everything has been delicious, fresh, and hot! The only complaint I'd make is that although it says panini for sandwiches they aren't the traditional paninis that are pressed & grilled but instead are just sandwiches so that was disappointing to find out after the fact. The staff are so friendly and attentive we hadn't been for almost 2 months and our waitress still remembered us & what I usually order. I love getting the al formaggio but instead of ravioli I get fettuccine, I love being able to have a portion of all 3 yummy sauces they have. Overall a great restaurant! I love that it's family owned, fresh ingredients, and a lot of stuff made from scratch (complimentary bread is yummy). My only true complaint would be that they don't sell that creamy Italian dressing by the bottle, would totally buy it all the time it's so yummy! Anytime we're in the area we'll be stopping by.
