I have chronic kidney disease so I'm at LabCorp about every 3 months or so. Waiting hadn't been too bad over the years, I'm normally in and out inside of an hour. However, this time, I sat for an hour and a half and was never called to present my lab order, so I went to the front desk and was told they wouldn't have any openings until after three PM, so I just walked out. I noticed the staff was all new, only one person at the front desk, but they had four lab techs working. The old staff had been able to get people in and out a lot faster, wonder what changed? Checking on GlassDoor showed a lot of staff turnover, also LabCorp is almost completely owned by institutional investors who want to consolidate services beyond just blood tests at their locations. I think I'll change to Avalon in the future. read more

I walked in at 12:30 pm today for pre-surgery labs. There was one patient sitting in the waiting room. I tried to check in and I was told that they were only taking appointments. I tried to explain how difficult it was for me to walk and asked if he would make an exception. He said no. This is just laziness. read more

Labcorp does exactly what they are supposed to do and they almost always do it with a smile and kind word. The one thing I don't like is that you used to be able to walk in w-o an appointment and get served with no problem usually within an hour. But the last 3 times I have walked in w/o an appointment, I checked in and, in 1 instance, after a 2.5 hour wait I had to leave for an appointment. One of the other times I had to leave after waiting around 2 hours. Things haven't changed all much from my perspective as a patient - so the change is across the counter. Used the online appointment, showed up and checked in as instructed and waited for a text from them and after an hour went in told the lady I was already checked in and when I tried to turn in my paperwork is was brushed off and told to wait until called. Then noticed my name was not even listed in the tv display. Finally went back up and told them my appointment was an hour and a half ago and I still haven't been called or texted. Janine is the one who ruins LabCorp in Yucca Valley. Several years ago, Janine injured my arm so badly during a blood draw, that it was black and blue for weeks. I complained about her. After that, her vendetta began: she was rough/rude to me mostly. I also noticed that she is a bully to most people, including co-workers. She does not talk, she yells, gives orders, and is always so loud you can hear her from the bathroom with a closed door. Turns out she is a REAL PSYCHOPATH: On 4.18, 2025, I went to Walmart to get ice-cream. She popped up out of nowhere and walked straight at me, yelling "WRONG LANE !". She stopped me from getting my ice-cream and got several pints of ice-creamfor herself. "I'm not at work now !" she yelled, meaning to say she could behave like an animal as she was not on duty. Her arms were loaded with ice-cream when she froze for a moment, staring at the freezer. She looked bewildered. I decided to get my ice cream, so I could leave the freak-show. She yelled again: "BACK OFF !". Finally she left, and while leaving, she showed me her middle finger and called me names, and yelled also "FUCK YOU!" until she turned the corner. I talked to the manager, because I know that Walmart has cameras, recording everything. She suggested I filed a police report. I did so. The police told me if this happened again, I should file a harassment restrainment against her at court. Will do. I reported this incident also to the Executive Office of Labcorp. She is the one who creates a very toxic environment at LabCorp. Beyond, watch out if you see her outside of LabCorp. Get your camera ready. She may attack you verbally, block your way, and who knows what else. There is something VERY wrong with her. LabCorp should replace her. read more

I drove someone here for blood work. I normally use Quest or Beaver. My problem with LabCorp is several. Kiosk checking is layer 1. That asks for payment. my providers never do. They bill my insurance. Layer 2 is a human asking same or similar questions as Kiosk without kiosk answers in front of them. Layer 3 called in a third time this time for another higher payment. keep in mind this is an ordered blood test by a doc under Obamascare. 4th call the blood test. patients not taken in order despite appointment only. It's a lab that does blood panels and urinalysis. For what it is, I found it to be a fairly pleasant experience. The facility was clean, staff was professional and efficient, and there was lots of parking. The person who drew my blood was very skilled and quick- no rooting around with the needle even though I'm perpetually dehydrated and have small veins. I was able to make an appointment online, also, so arrived at 0837 and was out the door by 0904. One star removed because the waiting area was pretty crowded considering we're still in a pandemic. Nearly everyone had a mask on except for, of course, the woman who plopped herself down in the empty chair beside me and proceeded to loudly smack her lips and exhale heavily. Staff did provide her with a mask at some point, I believe, but... really? Also, kiosks weren't working but took up a considerable amount of space so there was even less room to spread out safely. read more

Save your self and head down the hill. This is the SLOWEST Labcorp in existence. You'd think peeing in a cup or drawing blood would move a little faster but I suppose not. But per usual Yucca Valley fashion nothing is ever done with priority or speed. Expect to sit there for hours to have simple tests taken care of. I know it's a hassle to have to head down the hill, but at least you won't have to be sitting for hours while the woman sitting at the counter gets her head out of her ass. read more

I went with an appointment and waited 30 minutes. When I got to the chair, the text came back to tell me they had run out of the required collection equipment. No offer to call when they had it, which I need urgently, and just told me to call around to other lab corps to see if they were stocked with what they should always have. I had a good experience from the nice and helpful receptionist, easy checkin, i waited maybe 5min in total. I had an ABSOLUTELY AWFUL experience at labcorp today. I scheduled my appointment online, arrived early to my appointment, registered at the self-service kiosk then was "checked in" with the front desk staff. I waited 30 minutes and noticed others who had arrived after me were being called back for their appointment. I approached the front desk staff where the 'site coordinator' was sitting and was assured my 'paperwork was in the back' and I would be called back shortly. I waited another 15 minutes, now 45 minutes past my appointment time. As a staff person came to the lobby to call back patients I asked for confirmation that my paperwork was indeed "in the back" since others who arrived after me with later appointment times were being called back. The staff person was rude, dismissive and refused to 1) acknowledge I was standing directly in front of her, 2) speaking directly to her, 3) verify if my paperwork was in the back. The only way of identifying her would be the one who was literally yelling at patients and wearing long, acrylic, orange nails. (healthcare workers aren't supposed to wear acrylic nails or gel polish) I was left standing without any resolution or answers to my questions or concerns. Another patient in the lobby also expressed frustration to me about the unreasonably long wait time and the rude behavior of staff, I commented that I was dissatisfied with the professionalism of the staff. The 'site coordinator', sitting behind the front desk, overheard our brief interaction and made a comment to another patient at the front desk about "rude people" who were "impatient". At this point, I realized I would not be able to get any resolution by attempting to directly address my concerns with staff. At 11:05 I was finally called back for my 10:15 appointment. The phlebotomist realized I was NOT REGISTERED, and was not in the queue for my lab work. The phlebotomist registered me, took my copay and drew my blood. She was the only one who was remotely decent or professional. As a healthcare professional myself with nearly a decade working in an acute care setting, I'm well aware of the demands on healthcare workers, however, the behavior of the labcorp employees in Yucca Valley is appalling and completely unacceptable. I will never return to this location and will share my experience with my healthcare co-workers, patient and providers. Every single staff person there needs a real lesson in professionalism and basic human respect and decency. read more

I work for an insurance company and do some phlebotomy for our clients that can't physically get to a lab. I have never walked out of this place feeling like staff was polite. Everyone there seems unhappy. The front desk doesn't even greet me when I come in. I will not use this lab for myself or my family. Train your people to make eye contact, smile, and say hello. Today i had to race to get to the lab cus i am very busy and its very hard for me to get there before 3pm. It is VERY unprofessional to CLOSE EARLY!! It is already a pain in the rear to get there before that time, they need to be open til 4pm like they used to be! I got there four minutes before 3pm and they were already closed! i was soooo angry! I know it was the last few minutes, but they still should have been open. Open hours means open hours, not close when you feel like it! Now i have to spend ten more bucks in gas to go back and i have to reschedule an appt i had for the next day, so that i can get my lab done in time for another doctors appt that ordered the labs. You cant just close whenever you feel like it. Its not the customers fault if you are tired and want to make sure no one else gets in your door BEFORE YOU CLOSE! IM VERY ANGRY! What a pain! some of the people working there are pretty nice and can draw blood very well, while others, not so much. Im disappointed that it is the only lab around that i can go to! ugh! read more

You will never get a live body when you call any of their phone numbers and be able to finish your sentence - you are CUT OFF!!!! This is no way to do business. All I wanted to know is if my new HMO card would be honored since my old one was Empire Physicians, not Desert Oasis. I could not believe their complete lack of customer service!! As for blood drawing they do a great job of that, but customer service goes a long way and if you can't even finish a sentence when talking to a live body to find out pertinent information, that goes a long way in establishing my rating. read more

I have used this Labcorp for years and usually have gotten good service. Especially the lady in the ponytail, (can't remember her name) who has been there for years. She has always given me courteous service. In regards to the new Kiosk system, it is both good and bad. To new users, it can be a bit of a learning curve, but not too complicated. Yes, I can see that it can save time, and in turn, speed up the process of getting blood drawn faster. That being said, it's a germ magnet. People come to get bloodwork primarily because they are sick, have an illness, or a disease. Now hundreds of people who are sick are touching the screen daily--yuck. I know they have hand-sanitizer there to use, but you can't tell me that germs and viruses will not be passed to other people by touching this screen. Its like the whole "straw law." Straws help prevent germs from spreading by keeping customers from their lips touching the same glass as a prior users. Have you ever gotten a glass at a restaurant and it had lipstick on it? Unless they use at least 150degree water in an extended rinse, it will not kill all the germs. No thanks, I'll keep using straws. read more
