I went into LabCorp expecting it to be a long and frustrating experience, but it ended up being the exact opposite. When I first walked in, it looked busy. There were a lot of people in the lobby and someone at the front desk seemed frustrated, so I figured I was in for a wait. I checked in at the automated kiosk, sat down, and honestly within about 5 to 8 minutes I was already being called up. I spoke with Anastasia at the front, and she was great. Even though it was clearly busy and she was dealing with upset customers, she stayed friendly, calm, and professional the whole time. You could tell she was handling a lot but still kept a really positive attitude. After that, I only waited another 5 to 8 minutes before getting called back. I was sitting in the chair when Anastasia came in again and said she would be drawing my blood. She was super friendly, quick, and honestly a 10 out of 10 phlebotomist. I did not feel the needle at all, no digging around for a vein, just smooth, painless, and done. Overall, way better experience than I expected. Upon checking in for her appointment, she was met by a staff member in blue scrubs who was rude, unkind, and openly passive-aggressive. His attitude made it clear that he was upset, and he took that frustration out on multiple customers. This level of unprofessionalism is completely unacceptable, especially in a healthcare setting where patients deserve respect and courtesy. It's disappointing to see employees representing LabCorp in such a negative manner. If staff members are that unhappy in their roles, it would be better for the company to replace them with individuals who value professionalism and take pride in their work. We will not be returning to this location, and I intend to share this experience with others so they are aware of the poor treatment taking place there. I had the worst experience I have ever had for a blood draw (and I have had a lot!). The Phlebotomist tried the left arm, did not hit the vein (which was very pronounced). She dug around for a while (ouch) and then gave up. So tried the right arm and again no blood. Wiggled the needle (again ouch) and nothing. It was a waste of time with significant discomfort. I then drove to Labcorp, 6301 S McClintock Rd, Tempe, where I was told there was a 3+ hour wait because the Southern Ave location was closed. But there were only five people in the waiting room. The front desk staff handed me a scrap of paper with the Southern Ave address--the same clinic she just told me was closed. When I asked why she was still sending people there, she stared blankly and said nothing. She then directed me to 725 S. Dobson Rd #103, Mesa, which turned out to be a trailer park. Not a clinic. Not a lab. A trailer park. I wasted another 25 minutes driving there, only to be misled again. The next closest location was on Ray Road--another 35-minute drive--and by that point, I had already lost two hours, my fasting window, and my patience. Labcorp's incompetence is not just frustrating--it's dangerous. You interfere with patients' ability to follow doctor's orders. You cause unnecessary stress, confusion, and physical strain. You waste our time, gas, and energy. And worst of all, you make people redo critical tests like fasting blood draws and fecal samples--because your system is broken and your staff is either uninformed or indifferent. I don't go to Labcorp by choice. I go because my insurance doesn't cover Sonora Quest. But this level of dysfunction is unacceptable. I recently moved up to the area from Tucson. This office is amazing. Lots of people but it only took me 30 minutes to get back. My phlebotomist was amazing and friendly. I had to email them my blood work order and in Tucson they keep you waiting all day if they even acknowledge they they received it. Here it wasn't a problem at all. I had a terrible experience with this location. A week ago I set up my employer drug screen and went to the fountain hills location they were very kind and let me know sadly their location doesn't provide that service and redirected me to this location. I set up my appointment up with the help of the fountain hills receptionist, under employer drug screen again. When I arrived a week later, I checked in and showed them my paperwork from my employer, they said you put it under the wrong service, which I apologized and sat down. I had to use the restroom badly and asked if they happened to know the wait time and if there was any way to honor my appointment, as the lady was answering my question the gentleman on the side of her interrupted her and very rudely said "corporate doesn't allow that at all, and you should have noticed that your service was incorrect I don't know what to tell you, you can go to the bathroom now but you'll have to go again whenever we are available and you have people in front of you, you can't just cut" (which I was just asking the wait and he was very rude as if I didn't make an appointment, and I was being understanding about having to wait due to it being under the wrong service) I responded and said "oh I'm sorry I just want to know the wait time" and he said "if you need to go to the bathroom I'll open the door but you aren't cutting everyone because you made the wrong appointment" (at this point he's raising his voice and I'm staying at the normal level) I respond again and say "okay sorry just didn't want to waste your time I know you guys get off at 3 it's 2:20 I didn't want to make you wait for when I have to go again" and he responded even louder now "we have ALL DAY I'm here until 5 I can wait" this was in a very belittling response and he rolls his eyes and walks away and comes back and says "they'll call you when they are ready," I reported this to the lady in the back she said "that's our lead I told him not to be rude to my team (I think she meant patients) but he doesn't work here I think he's just mad because he has to go to multiple locations but sadly I can't do anything about this due to his position. This just made me feel completely invalidated, she was very kind but I felt so upset and embarrassed because he was saying all of this so loud surely trying to embarrass me and I simply asked if there was any way I could use the restroom because I had to go. I already was very upset my company has to use labcorp because I know the experience isn't always great with them. This made me realize they are not worth going to because of how rudely they treat those who choose their company, I will be talking to my CEO to drop labcorp as their only third party Admin. And advise quick test or Sonora quest because I have always been treated with respect and things like this do not fly at those locations. I hope this gentleman is talked to and things are changed before labcorp really starts to see the affects these employees can make for the worse. read more

Waited about 10-15 minutes to do a urine sample which seems quick to me because there was 20 people ahead of me. Anastasia, is the one who attended me and very professional and lively. After reading reviews, I was worried about getting in for routine blood work. But it was as easy peasy and friendly staff. Appointments online were booked out too far, so I just showed up before 7am as a walk-in. I was first in line of maybe 10 or so others. Doors opened at 7:00 and I was out by 7:15am and on my way to work. Bring your ID, lab directive with scan, and payment. Everything is electronic these days so be prepared for the kiosk. read more

If I could leave zero stars I would. This happened on 16Jun2023 starting at approximately 1415. I arrive 15 minutes prior with my daughter to her appointment. Checked in on the kiosk and waited. My daughter's appointment was at 1430. People who walked in and checked in after us were being called up to the window. Still waiting. 1440 comes and I go up to the window and ask when my daughter is going to be seen. I'm immediately greeted with an attitude of "we don't see walk-ins". I explain that we're not a walk-in and she had an appointment at 1430. We're told that they'll see us when they see us. We're called back around 1450. As I'm waiting with my daughter (10.5months) in the draw room, I see across the hallway the phlebotomist taking selfies with a patient. I popped my head out and just asked how much longer since it was now 1500 and a half hour after her scheduled appointment. The phlebotomist was annoyed and said there was only two people drawing and she was busy. Finally 1515 someone comes in. I asked since my daughter is under 2 years old if it was just a finger and or heel poke. Phlebotomist says no, it's a full needle draw. My daughter is crying and screaming. They keep pulling the needle in and out of her arm. Eventually blood comes back out of her arm (not into the tubing) and she's bruising on the spot. I asked them to stop because my daughter cannot talk and clearly the screams mean she's in pain. They yank the needle out and tell me that I'll need to have her sedated next appointment. I was absolutely traumatized. My daughter was traumatized. They abused my daughter in the exam room. read more

The doors opened right at 7am and I was able to check in with their kiosk (took like 5 second). I only waited about 20 minutes before I was called back. My technician was kind and fast. Came here because this is the lab my job has us to come to for employee health testing. Anyways, the lady at the front desk is far from welcoming. I had an 11:15am appointment. I checked in early at 11:05am and was told to sign in on the clipboard and as I did she asked if I had an appointment. I said yes at 11:15am. She said okay and then told me to fill out my info on the tablet which I did and then had a seat. 11:30am rolled around and they were calling everyone to the window but me so I walked up to double check and she said I should of marked on the sign in sheet that I had an appointment. I thought we established this already! Anyways, my last name was called by the lab tech 5 min later, she said hello, make a fist and you're done and I was on my way. Don't come here, if at all possible. Probably don't go to any LabCorp if my experience at this one and the one in Chandler are any indication. Both places had a totally worthless check-in system. You can do it via the internet, but you still have to use the dumb kiosk when you get there. Even doing that, the staff asks you non-verifying questions that you answered on the kiosk; what's the point? Upon being called at this Tempe location, I was asked "what do you need?" like I was some bother, instead of the more relevant question: "May I see your lab order?" Or, you know, "Good morning, how are you, may I see your lab order?" Then I was handed a cup, told "put your sample in the bathroom down the hall to the left, then you're free to go". Thanks, warden (?) Best part was the three other samples sitting in the sample receptacle when I got there. Makes one wonder how long they'd been sitting there. Hope nobody had to leave anything temperature-sensitive. What a joke. read more
