I had to go to Gateway back at the end of October 2024 and the provider there and the rest of the staff were so kind to me. I had to return yesterday and the nurse practitioner Kristin was so kind and listened to my concerns and really showed great quality of care. Sicily is a wonderful medical assistant. I am happy with my general practioner that isn't associated with Gateway, but Kristin properly diagnosed me with bronchitis. My general practioner diagnosed me with pneumonia, but Kristin wondered why my general practitioner never did a chest xray before diagnosing me with pneumonia. Yesterday, Kristin gave me a chest X-ray and breathing treatment as well as prescribing me meds for my horrible cough. I will definitely return to Gateway in the future for my medical needs. read more

I'm a bit surprised by the bad reviews, I had a great experience with this location. Looking at the wait times for other Urgent Cares in the area, I opted to schedule an appointment a day in advance for an issue with my elbow. I went in early on the day of my appointment, as requested, to fill out paperwork. The waiting area was clean and neat. Contrary to what Yelp states for this location, they do not have free Wi-Fi available. After the paperwork was completed, I was called back shortly after for my appointment - on time! Don't listen to the bad reviews here, it's an urgent care, they get busy sometimes but when I visited at the height of a respiratory bug going around my child was treated respectfully and the Dr on duty was great, she listened to me about my child's complex medical history and considered this while giving her assessment. Most Dr's nowadays are dismissive and don't listen to the parent who knows their child and this is important when you don't know the patient and are just meeting them for the first time in an urgent care. I had a very scary situation come up where one of my doctor offices didn't send my prescription to my pharmacy even though they said they had. The administration I'd experienced with them was one I never thought anyone seeking medical help would have to experience. So for that alone, I have to stress how FRIENDLY, UNDERSTANDING AND KIND these ladies were at Gateway. I called ahead to make sure they could help me with such a dilemma. They said over the phone they'd be HAPPY to help. I walked in, filled out paperwork less than ten minutes, had some friendly chit chat with the front desk who are SO great! The facility had recently changed hands, is modern, immaculately clean, staffed with friendly, knowledgeable, caring people, had a short wait. I needed to be seen for asthma, and DR. Michael Dunn will go down as one of the most kind, patient, and thorough Doctors I have ever been treated by. I HIGHLY recommend Gateway urgent care. I needed to have a physical done for dental school next year. I went to NextCare urgent care after making an appointment, and when I got there, the receptionist looked at my paperwork and said, oh no, we don't do this here. I explained that it is the same as their normal physical, just on a different piece of paper. They dug their heels in, and wouldn't see me. So I drove down the street to Gateway. I was greeted by a very friendly staff that was SUPER accommodating. I gave them the stack of paperwork and the receptionist, Riley, said, "No problem!" She read through it, had me fill out a couple short forms, and I was on my way back. I saw Bryan, who was super friendly and thorough. He explained each step of what he was doing and told me why he was doing it. After I got vitals done, I waited in an exam room for maybe 2-3 minutes tops, when I was greeted by Tara, the NP. She went through the physical smoothly, and efficiently. She was very friendly as well! Overall, my experience was EXCELLENT! I'd recommend Gateway to anyone looking for medical care! read more

BEWARE! Took our son here because they represented themselves as being "in-network" with Cigna. They took my in-network co-pay and a month later I get a bill for over a $100. Called them, assuming it was a mistake and come to find out it was no mistake. The front desk person tells me that they used to be in-network with Cigna but aren't anymore. Long story short, I challenged them to do the right thing and honor the in-network rate and instead they sent me to collections. Very disappointing. I was there on the 15th of Dec. and I was 20 minutes early for my appointment. I heard another woman upset saying they had been forgotten but didn't worry about it. They called me 20 mins late, it happens, they were busy. I went to my room, tech said, Nurse will see you shortly. At 8pm I get up and walk out of my room, 40 mins after I saw the tech, and ALL THE LIGHTS WERE OFF, FRONT DOOR LOCKED, the receptionist and nurse looked at me in surprise. Had a GREAT experience at Gateway Urgent care yesterday. I made an same day appointment online, and showed up about 20 minutes early. I had done all my paperwork prior to my visit (forms are on website). Tina was friendly at the front desk. I waited about 10 minutes, and was seen pretty quickly after. The Physicians Assistant David was nice and helpful. All around an A+++... I would suggest making an appointment online and filling out paperwork, makes it go a lot quicker. read more

I have been to this location twice. They are not good at returning calls and the front desk (Loren) specifically is not professional on the phone. My son went in for an x ray and was told after collecting his money, that their X-ray tech called in sick. He also requested his ear be cleaned and was told its allergies. None of that was as upsetting as the front desk behavior. Lack of professionalism and overly comfortable being rude on the phone. They are the face of a company. Will never go back. The level of incompetence is unbelievable. I was tested for COVID/flu/strep. After they all were negative the doctor "said" she would call my prescription over to the local Walgreens. I went to this Walgreens multiple times (Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday) and they kept saying they never got the prescription called in from the doctor. I kept calling the doctor back and they kept saying "no we did - in our system it's showing we sent it over". I wasn't sure if the fault was on Walgreens or the doctor. Then I had to fly back to PA since I was only in town for a week, hence the visit to UC. I called the doctor back a 30th time and they said they would call the prescription over to a pharmacy there, they said they would do a verbal as I was frustrated at this point it had taken over 4 days for them to properly call a prescription over to a pharmacy. They promised the doctor would do a verbal to the new pharmacy as soon as we got off the phone. Once again, just like the case of the Walgreens, the Rite aid said they too never got the prescription. After a 47th call back to the doctor, 5 days later, the person who answered said they're not allowed to send prescriptions out of state. So now I sit here after a $100 copay for absolutely nothing. Worst urgent care experience of my life, doesn't even include the fact I waited almost an hour despite making an appointment. They spent about 4 minutes with me and said they'd call in a prescription for an antibiotic (which they never properly did despite 4 days and dozens of phone calls trying to tell them to). My guess is the doctor had my date of birth wrong or spelled my name wrong, which led to the confusion with the pharmacy. I tried to ask the doctor to clarify these things, but they refused and just kept saying "on our end, in our system, it's showing your prescription was sent over to the pharmacy", not even letting me confirm my DOB/name. If you're sick: don't spend your copay here. read more

How in the middle of a pandemic when they are REQUIRED in Gilbert can she not wear one? I asked her where her mask was and her reply was "if I haven't got it by now, I won't". I went in with a horrible cough. I couldn't last a few minutes without coughing and I felt it went to my chest. Everybody was so friendly. I was lucky to walk in and no one else was there. Filled out the paperwork and got in right away. They gave me a breathing treatment and did X-rays to rule everything out. Come to find out I'm not contagious just needed some steroids and an inhaler to open up my lungs. Went to the pharmacy and the prescriptions were already there. Came home did what the Dr told me to do and I feel SO much better. My lungs feel more open and I can breath without coughing. Thank you so much for how quickly you were to make me feel better again. I don't give bad reviews unless they are truly warranted .. I went here before in 2019 and was asked why are you here ? I told them my symptoms and they said they found nothing sent me home .. That was not true otherwise I would not be there .. Today I decided 3 years later I'll vibe them another try .. I woke up My knee was swollen clouds hardly walk and waited after ice and heat pain pulls with no avail I decided to go to urgent care .. because this one is 1 mile away I thought I'd give it another chance .. I barely walked in and they looked at me like we are going home in 15 min I politely said I'm sorry I can go somewhere else .. but they asked u been here before I said yes she looked up y info and told me I had never been there I said ok .. I filled out paperwork and then I had a lady came out the back with an attitude along with the desk person at the desk and loudly telling me I owe the 41.00 and they can't see me till I pay it ! I do t have a problem pAying hut frim 2019 I asked for what ? My insurance pays 109 percent . Then I said to them but how do I know it's me that owe it you clearly said I had never been there before !!! I politely got up amongst all the attitude and with my calm spirit I walked out .. I'm now at another urgent care with a teal doctor who is helping me and professionally a real doctor .. I know my experience may not be yours.and I pray not .. but before you go here please try first urgent care on greenfield they ate the best they do X-rays and and treat you with care .. snd understanding .. in the world today there's hardly any real customer care or love so sad read more

The people here are so incredibly friendly and quick, however, I can't in good faith recommend it, especially for children. We took our son here and after an x-ray were referred to the pediatric ER for possible intestinal blockage. The ER reviewed the x-ray, which was very clean minus some signs of bronchitis (no signs of intestinal issues) diagnosed it as a viral infection and sent us on our way, so we spent unnecessary 3 hours at ER and $125 co-pay. This place is disrespectul, rude and belittling! I brought my son in today for a possible broken ankle. I let them know our insurance was TRICARE and provided them the service members SSN, my sons DOB, my ID. And I was told I needed an insurance card. I repeated that tricare doesn't provide indurance cards, only wallet cards if I wanted to print one out that is not a valid form of coverage. Deborah still refused to allow my son to be seen and said "Well thats funny because I see them every day" I pulled up the information from Tricare.mil where it states they do not provide cards, that a military id and the sponsors social is used to determine coverage for minors. She refused to look at what I was trying to show her. Told me I needed to pay out of pocket to recieve care because I was wrong. Upon me leaving with no care and my child in pain because this was going no where and it had been 20 minutes with no forward movement and I was holding up the line. I did tell Ms. Deborah to go to hell. My bad! I dealt mainly with Deborah but the other women of the office felt the need to chime in too and mock me. I was appauled by their behavior. After leaving I called tricare and the once again confirmed with me that I did everything right and provided all documentaion I needed, that she could easily have called them as a provider to confirm coverage. The instructed me to file a grievance through tricare to have them handle it appropriately, the letter is already in the mail. I can't speak on the medical care because, well I didnt get that far. read more

Been there a couple times now. Everyone there is professional and kind. Recently went there and was seen by Tara. She took her time with me, insured that all my questions were answered. Her treatment prescription worked within a day for the vertigo that I went in there for. If you have ever had that you know it makes for a long uncomfortable day.
