Such a great vibe as soon as I walked in! The receptionist warmly greeted me and then she had me sign in through the kiosk even though they were busy and I didn't have an appointment. The phlebotomist was also warm and she took my blood efficiently with no pain! We had a visit with LabCorp on Pacific Avenue and I can tell you that it wasn't at all as I expected. The office was extremely small. There is very limited seating space. You definitely waste your time walking up to the front desk just to have the receptionist tell you sign in at the kiosk- maybe if there was a sign or if the kiosk were closer to the door, we wouldn't have to Wait in line to speak to someone at the front desk. Secondly, I noticed there is a lot of older patients coming into the office. It would be nice if the phlebotomy staff was a little more patient and helpful with these older patients. If I wasn't there to assist My Mom I'm afraid she would've been extremely confused with the directions they gave since they were so busy they didn't have time or maybe didn't want to direct My Mom Accordingly. The front office waiting room was way too small, which leads to very limited seating and stuffiness due to pour air circulation. The phlebotomy staff was nice enough, but like I said they looked or acted like they were overworked and understaffed. Having a disagreement in front of the front office patients was not a good look either. On a different note security in the parking structure were very friendly and accommodating. read more

I had blood work drawn by this office of Lab Corp on 6/4/25. When I walked in it was crowded but I was immediately told to sign in electronically because I had an appointment. I was seen within a few minutes of the appointment. The phlebotomist that I saw was incredible! Friendly, efficient, well skilled and had a great sense of humor. What a pleasant experience. I didn't write down her name but I wish I had. The Health Care system does have lots of problems, but not this Lab Corps office. Good Job. P.S. to patients make an appointment, arrive a few minutes early and drink plenty of water before you blood is drawn. It helps with the speed of the draw! Be nice to the staff. read more

This is my go to lab since I work at the hospital nearby and can get over here quickly. I always make an appointment and always have a very short wait. This past week, my doctor's office glitched and didn't send my orders and then sent the wrong orders while I was at the lab waiting. Needless to say, I was there a long time, and the staff member at the front desk, Cristina, was very patient and continued to check the computer and fax for my orders even though they were busy. She got me in immediately once the orders came through. That's why I keep coming back here! read more

I have been attending this location since December 2021. I have to get my blood drawn weekly because I am a cancer patient. I've had a great experience with the staff. They were very gentle with me and make the experience go by very fast. I've never had to wait for longer than 20 mins. This could be because my orders are STAT. Either way, I am in and out. This location is super great! It's in the building of Planned Parenthood which confused me a little bit but super easy to find them! Check-in process was also easy and efficient. Didn't expect much coming to this location since there were 2 cop SUV's in front of the building haha! But wowww. Nakiya (hope I got her name right) was probably the best phleb I've ever had. I didn't even feel a freakin' thing! I want to say it's almost a "hurt-so-good" blood draw experience. But it didn't even hurt! The lady who helped me initially (front desk) had a very sweet demeanor. She walked me thru step-by-step what I needed to do to get over a hump in order to get my labs done. I'm def coming back here & request Nakiya. I hope she doesn't ever leave. If she does, I'm going to stalk her. If I could give them NO STARS I would! I have waited for well over an hour to get blood work completed. Due to covid, I sat in my car because there were way too many people waiting to be serviced. In fact, the person at the counter told me to wait at my car and they would call me. It's an hour and thirty minutes later and NO Phone call. Terrible customer service. read more

Came in right at 7:30am on a Friday with my mom. There was already a long line at the door since that's the time they opened. They let people in 3 at a time only when there's a lot of people waiting outside the door. One thing I noticed is that they have these new LabCorp Express Check In machines. There were 3 of them lined up side by side with associates there to help. You need to bring your ID and insurance card which the machine scans or takes a picture of I believe. My mom came to get blood work done here and doesn't speak English well. She would have absolutely no idea how to use that Check In machine. The associate helping me with the machine seemed very annoyed and impatient. When I went to the counter to give the paperwork, the lady helping me wasn't very nice. Not impressed with this location. The staff was very rude and unhelpful. They have a sign in station on iPads set up at the front. They kept freezing and the staff seemed unable to help us. After about ten minutes of inputting data, the woman informed me that we owed 70 bucks since I have a ppo . Wait..we don't have a ppo, only hmo. I didn't get her name but major props to her. Everyone else was rude and had an attitude. As a Nurse for 30 years, I would seriously consider driving to the next closet Lapcorp instead of going to this one. I had 3 Medical Assistants assist with my blood work and they displayed blatant lack of knowledge of core competencies of phlebotomy. They were not using the proper size of the needle to avoid and my blood hemolyzed. They were not able to obtain a blood sample and sent me to other location. The customer service was very poor, beyond poor! At the second location, Tammy saved the day and got my blood with the quickness. Manager Janet Newhouse was made aware and was very apologetic for her staff. Would highly recommend going to the next closest Lapcorp and avoid the Pacific Ave one. read more

I scheduled an appointment online. Everything went smoothly, I received an email confirmation, I clicked on a link to make a payment to process my test and received confirmation for the payment. I thought everything would be good to go, except for when I show up for my appointment (and took half day off of work) the location is CLOSED. Nobody contacted me. I called customer service and they said "the location is open, where are you?" and I said "I'm in front of their closed door, and there's a sign saying they are closed on the 14th and 15th of January". They wouldn't even process a refund. I had to dispute the charge with my credit card company to get my money back. These people don't value your time and I strongly encourage you to go elsewhere. read more

The office was fine. Located in a planned parenthood building on third floor. The elevator is a little old school. The lab for giving blood is small. Plus is you can check in with the text and schedule on line. The cons are the location is far. The office is packed. The tech was very nice. And I only had to show my insurance after checking in with the scan and tablet. read more

This review is more about how we the public are being targeted to do other people's work and not get paid for it. I walked in today to a packed house and see people bunched up at these three machines. Come to find out we have to check ourselves in through a kiosk. I had to put my license on a pedestal for this machine to take a picture of both sides along with my insurance card. It asked me a few questions before I was done. I'm still wondering when I changed careers to data entry! That is not my job and the employees working there should not put up with that because before too long, YOU will be replaced by a machine! Everyone seems to think it's all about convenience these days. These self help/self check out machines are just the tip of the iceberg. Pretty soon you not going to see a human at a cash register at all! I will not step another foot in this place while this is going on. I have ALWAYS had a horrible time having my blood drawn. There was only one person that could get it on the first try, and I would drive all the way to Newport Beach, which was quite a drive, but worth it to me! Then she retired, and I was in a panic. Whenever anyone else would try, after many attempts, they would always have to resort to taking it from my hand WHICH WAS AWFUL. I needed to find a new place, and just chose Labcorp because they were so close to my house. The young lady that works at the front desk, I assume she is the office manager, was the one to draw my blood. I told her my horrible history and paranoia of having it done, she looked at my arm, and said it was going to be easy. SHE IS AMAZING!!!!! So now, whenever I go, I always ask if she will do it. Sometimes I have to wait longer for her, but honestly, I would wait hours for her expertise. She is that good. So if you are like me, and have horrible veins, and are terrified of having your blood drawn, this is the place to go. REALLY! You have no idea how wonderful it is to not be in a panic every time I need this done! read more

I'm actually here now when I walked in the front office clerk greeted me with a low hello and then faced back to the screen of the CPU. I actually work in patient services so right off the back I knew this visit may not be as pleasant. I asked for a urine sample and directed to the restroom. O M F G ! This might have been the NASTIEST restroom I've ever used. I honestly didn't want to use it, I felt as if I was on an episode of fear factor. The floor was dirty asf ! Looks like no one moped it in two weeks, the toilet seat had some weird orange shit on it, the WALLS . I literally peed standing up! I went in to have routine labs done which are covered by my insurance company. Upon checking in I was handed a specimen cup. Once completing the first part of my lab work I was called to the receptionist area. I was informed that I had an unpaid balance that needed to be covered before rendering services for the day and if I was not able to pay it I would need to come back another day. I informed the receptionist that I was not able to pay this bill but my labs are covered by my insurance company and there for I should not have to worry about paying anything today. This whole discussion took place in the waiting area of the lab which is a HIPPA violation. I am very disgusted at the fact that Labcorp is refusing to render services for a small amount of money that needs to be paid. I have to go through this embarrassing experience out in the open with other patients around is unactable. This is poor customer service not to mention dishearten for a patient to be harassed for money in order to get labs drawn. Sham on you labcop for your tack policy. You are by far the worst lab that i have been you show no compassion at all for those of us that are in need. I went to this location for the first and last time this morning. Let me tell you that is one of the most disgusting facilities I have ever been to. I went in there for a urine test and the restroom was not only disgusting, but it was clogged. It was 8:45 and it looked like it was the end of the day and hadn't been cleansed in weeks. So of course, I tell one of the employees and she directs me to use the restroom outside their suite. That restroom was worse- there were two stalls in that restroom and both had doors that did not lock AT ALL! Oh and there were skid marks on one toilet ...it was 9am by now...how the heck is this restroom that dirty on a Monday morning? Disgusted!! read more
