i went here to get an n95 fit test, a requirement for my school. after looking around different places, i chose wellnessmart because their prices were way more reasonable! the staff was very friendly and accommodated me very quickly as a walk in. it was not busy when i came in at the middle of the day, but i can see how it could get busy if a bunch of people come in as walk ins. i would definitely recommend this place to anyone in need of similar services! :) read more

Got a new job that required a TB test and live scan as part of the onboarding process and their HR recommended wellnessmart to me since they provide both services so I could get everything done in one place. Wellnessmart is located in/next to Marina Pacifica, there's a parking lot with plenty of parking then you go down the stairs to access the entrance. There's an iPad at the front where you check in and then they call your name when it's your turn. It wasn't busy on a week day afternoon, I also made an appointment so I was helped right away. My finger prints were taken for my live scan and then was given my TB test. Afterwards they gave me a card saying when I'd need to return by to get my test read and I was on my way, in and out within 15 minutes! When I returned, it was not busy again (also a week day afternoon) and let them know that I was there to get my TB test read. Since I was returning, I did not have to check in to the iPad, the woman checked my arm, and then printed me out 2 copies of my results. Very fast and the employees are nice! I paid about $75 for both, I would recommend to anyone looking for these services! read more

WOW I've been pretty impressed with their intake process which is actually using 21st-century technology!!!!! TB, Physical, and LiveScan were quick and to the point ONLY ONLY ONLY IF you were given this option during your On-boarding process for whatever job you just took. BUSINESS THOUGHTS: I would say/guess their business model is based of referrals which is a good 90% of their business model. So be warned, walk-ins ARE WELCOMED, BUT your service won't be as quick and or streamlined (From what I witnessed when I was there in the waiting room) So I would suggest ANYTHING informational for individual walk in services. Wellnessmart has always been my go to spot that for blood tests and tb tests. The staff here are very quick and will get you in and out as soon as possible. I was grateful they took me in 15 minutes before closing and managed to give me tb test within that time. Their prices are much lower than their competitors and one thing they offer that others don't, is that they DO NOT CHARGE for the tb readings. Other places charge for the injection and then again for the reading done 48-72 hours later, which is ridiculous! Prices have increased from last year but still nothing compared to going to a chain pharmacy or an urgent care for tb tests. read more

The service there is fairly good. I have gone twice for employment screens. Quick service is the only reason I am giving 2 stars. I had to get a TB skin test done here and when I went back to get it read, the person reading it gave me a positive result ,although it is clearly negative. Because of this I can not work until I go through the extra step of getting a chest X-ray. I understand that this is protocol, but if their providers were more educated on how to read a TB skin test I would not have to do this and I would not be losing money by not working. I myself am a registered nurse and I also consulted other friends who are healthcare providers and they all agree it is a negative test. Hopefully more education can be provided so this will not happen to someone else. read more

Terrible, I went in for a tb test, the head blonde RN lady kinda hurt me when she did the test. I've been tested about 5 times and never had this smudge burning pain right away but whatever.. I come back for my results and she says I'm possibly positive. Here's where it gets crazy... You have to pay $35 for a "prescription" to go to a lab where you have to pay another $35 for the x ray. This is bothered me because couldn't I have gone straight for an X ray in the first place? Why are they charging me if the "prescription" doesn't cover the X-ray ? So she highlights a list of the place where I have to go get this X-ray so I drive over there and they tell me they already told Wellness mart that they no longer do X-rays and to stop sending people there. So the X-ray place wellness mart sent me to that no longer does X-rays is going to send me to the actual location now and I got to give it to this lady (she doesn't work for wellness mart) she called ahead and saved me a space to make it by the deadline So I get the X-ray and have to wait for the result, which I call and advise them that the X-ray technician wrote "STAT" on mine and they finally email me..... I'M NEGATIVE I knew I was negative... Wellness mart charged me: $47 to get poked for the initial TB test except she did it all weird and it hurt immediately $35 after I came back and they said I might be positive because of the irritation, so I needed a "prescription for an X-ray" $35 for the chest X ray The technician at wellness mart actually pulled out some little ruler and measured how wide this redness she caused is and said ooo yea that looks bad... but the chest X ray is negative so what does that say? This place being medical does not offer courtesy masks in the event a client might have forgotten one. Not an obligation to provide those, but being a medical place you'd figure they have masks right? and not have some to offer is beyond poor customer service and stingy treatment. The receptionist/MA denied having any spare and sent us to a nearby cvs to buy some and we could still be charged late fee if I didn't make it back on time. We walked to the place next door that sells faucets and bathroom fixtures, they happily provided me with a mask! This receptionist/ M.A asked HIPPA questions right there at the counter, aloud questions about medical history, surgery history, any medications, hospitalizations, any suicide ideations?!!!!! Beyond belief she'd ask these type of questions with other people behind me instead of asking PHI questions in the room! Unbelievable, she and the office should be cited for violating HIPPA laws. You're paying for a pre employment medical visit where the Doctor isn't there. This woman did all the back office stuff and right when I'm thinking the doctor will walk in this happens to be a telehealth sort of visit.. this woman connects with a doctor through a computer that she insisted was in the back of the office, she literally said the doctor was in the back of the "headquarters" but I guess this doctor is too tired or busy to "walk in" so she has to stay remote just from the back of the office. This doctor didn't ask anything at all! Not a single question. The MA placed a remote stethoscope device to measure my chest respiration and that was it. What a shame! For a medical place, this office is dirty I saw dirt smudges on the "chairs" and hairs and dust everywhere, a really dirty headquarters. And last, never ever I had a TB test done that made me bleed this bad. I guess they can't afford either to offer a cotton ball to gently dub dub. 130$ for this joke and for total lack of professionalism?!! DONT EVER COME HERE! 1st timer so came early. Hard to find(lower lvl downstairs left side of Howards). No luck w/ calls. Arrived 15 mins early but not open at listed time so others were late to their class but we were all still nice & understanding the whole time. Checked in for my 1:15pm appointment for a livescan+TB test, process took 40 mins total. I was surprised the front desk lady didn't explain any details of prices(no lists in lobby) or test processes knowing I'm a new customer who's never done any of this before which would've made me feel more comfortable. I was charged for 3 things that idk if it's a part of one of the tests but she didn't explain the receipt either. Both tests felt very rushed & so not cool how she took care of a walk-in patient 1st..who came after me. No doctors in sight, the reception lady does the testing which felt weird at first. Fingers now feel achy from her squeezing to make test go faster that she didn't let the screen load enough each time & brushed off my pinky's not scanning so I hope it comes out right. TB test wasn't gentle either, expected her to be slower sticking needle in bc it's blood but I bled a tiny puddle which I've never bled this much from a shot. Would've expected more professionalism. I was having trouble finding an urgent care to do a pre employment physical as an independent contractor. Stumbled on WellnessMart through Yelp. They provided all the services I needed at affordable rates. Another urgent care quoted me almost $300 for one service, and I was able to get 3 services done at WellnessMart for half that price. Scheduling an appointment online is simple, but I was also able to walk in with no wait time. Customer service was great (didn't catch the nurse's name, but he was quick and efficient, especially considering he was working alone and other people came in behind me that he was able to juggle without making anyone seem like they weren't being taken care of). I was able to make an appointment easily and calling them and getting to a real person did not take long. When I got there I arrived late but the employee was super nice and helpful. The frustrations started when I went in for my LiveScan. I asked when the CPR classes would be. I was literally in the facility, but they said I would have to call or email to ask. They should have a pamphlet available or a posted schedule on the wall for those who need to take this class for their employment. They were not upfront with how long their CPR and First Aid training was going to be. They only emailed me the information for the CPR times, no email about First Aid at all. I expected to get out at 12:30 and I ended up staying till 3. The intro to the class also did not clarify the schedule ahead of time, so I did not know that I would have to rearrange my daily schedule until the afternoon. While all the staff were really nice, I did have one individual tell me that the First Aid training would be about an hour, till 2 pm. Image how surprised I was when I we reached 2 pm and the instructor said we reached our break! The lack of communication led to what should have been a standardized experience into a logistical conundrum. Better communication on WellnessMart's end would be much appreciated. read more

So glad I found this place on yelp. I had to take a TB test for my employer and I was about to go to CVS minuteclinic but they were charging like 68 bucks for it and there was a 66 minute wait. This center only charges 38 bucks plus they also offer other vaccinations and services like livescan. Livescan rolling fee was pretty cheap 23 dollars I'm bummed I got my livescan somewhere else already. Very quick service. Took about 5 minutes to fill out the forms and then I got the shot right away. I took a star off because the guy who gave me the tb shot ended up bruising me which never happened to me before. I came back for the tb reading and it took only 2 min which was awesome. I would definitely come back here if I need any other medical tests/clearance for my job. read more

I needed a TB test for an EMT program I will be starting next month. I tried to get the test through the lab at my primary care's office but it was a disaster. They had limited appointments making it next to impossible to schedule the test and reading appointments around my two jobs. Someone had mentioned this new facility to me when I was expressing my frustrations. I was surprised to learn that is was down the street from my house. My visits were both quick and stress-free. I walked in and received the TB test within 5 minutes. I returned 48-72 hours later and walked out with my results within two minutes. The staff was friendly and helpful. They are open 7 days a week which is extremely convenient! The only downside is the TB test was $30, whereas it would've been free if done through my doctor. I had called the wellness mart line on a Friday and asked if they take in walk-ins, they stated "yes" so I went and when I got there the nurse working in the front said she's not taking any walk-ins today??? So I made an appointment for the following Tuesday for a TB-Blood test. The same nurse working in the front was going to draw my blood and she couldn't find my vein. The other nurse was out for the day so the nurse that couldn't find my vein just sent me to quest instead because she couldn't find my vein. Very unprofessional in my opinion. I asked her if she could try again but she just sent me to quest which was 20 mins away from this location and she made my appointment at 3:30 and it was 3:10 when I left wellness plus it was raining. So I had to rush to get to my quest appointment at 3:30. I asked what if I don't make it on time? Do I come back here for you to try again and she said I would have to make another appointment?? I came in for a TB Test. The paperwork was stream-lined, there was no wait, I was in and out in 5 minutes. Ross was straight-forward, knowledgeable, and professional. Awesome experience. He gave a remainder card of when to come back. The return visit for the TB Test check-up is included in the total cost (only $30) which is great. Compare this to CVS, for example, that charges $35 for the TB Test and $25 for the follow-up visit. The facility is very clean, and smells clean.
