The worst possible Travel Vaccination Consultation ever A too good to be true 5 star review about travel vaccination here caused a nightmare for me and my wife. I'm 73 years old and legally blind, so my wife had to suffer the worst experience and daily AFib episodes since my appointment with Wen Cheng;FNP on May 12, 2025. The appointment was short (less than 10 minutes) and rushed, Wen Cheng was there all by herself, no patient before nor after us (we arrived 15 minutes early, yet waited outside with no one at front desk, hoping to squeeze my wife in for her travel vaccination consultation, due to no time slots left online.) She told us we could get all travel vaccination info on CDC site, like she did and that's all she could advise us, my wife told her she did so several times already but due to Tanzania requires Yellow Fever vaccination certificate when entry from Kenya, she told us Yellow Fever vaccine is not available from her clinic, and anywhere else, per her patient it would take a month to get it ordered, and she was surprised that we asked for COVID vaccine, that we didn't know COVID is OVER! We found out CVS and MINUTECLINIC both are NOT listed in CDC's Yellow Fever clinic list, even a very small VM pharmacy in Cerritos where we got our COVID booster without feeling the shots is on the list. If she's knowledgeable and qualified in providing travel vaccination consultation, she should have mentioned that because my age, the Yellow Fever vaccine is not recommended, waiver certificates for being over 60 years old were promptly provided by Costco for both of us without asking.) Sadly, after we repeatedly said that the travel consultation is for Tanzania and Kenya, after my wife asked her to go down the list of recommended vaccines for Tanzania and Kenya on CDC's site, and see what vaccines we should get and she could provide for us, she reluctantly get on CDC's site and went straight to South Africa instead of Tanzania nor Kenya. She told us we still need to pay for any and all vaccines at her clinic, even after my wife told her Aetna's rep over the phone already verified all the vaccines my wife got from CDC's sites for Tanzania and Kenya are fully covered. She totally failed to offer me any help in Travel Vaccination Consultation, no prescriptions at all for any vaccine (maybe due to I was not willing to pay out of pocket, when it's covered by my part D insurance and part B by Medicare?) She still charged me $71 and maybe to justify charging me $71 for nothing she could provide me on travel vaccination, she prescribed a couple medications we didn't ask for (we didn't trust her at all, and told Costco Pharmacy I won't get the medication she prescribed.) After my wife complained and requested refund of $71 to MINUTECLINIC on 5/16, a text for a never mentioned $29 remaining bill came from MINUTECLINIC, MINUTECLINIC on 5/17! More calls to MINUTECLINIC, till 6/2 Cassandra, supervisor of Patient Support given my wife a CRM#5981341, that the escalated case was reviewed by and decided by owners of the Seal Beach location, they refused to refund $71, and refused to waive $29, even though Wen Cheng left voice message apologized and she'll try to get her manager to refunded/waived that $29 on May18. Our need of travel vaccination is now being met with purchasing two $39.99/pp from Costco.com under Pharmacy, Safegard sent a comprehensive questionnaire took us a few days to complete, after submitting the completed questionnaire to their physician to review on Friday, Costco pharmacist from Cypress called on Saturday after they received the results and prescriptions from physician Tavi Patel, Thuy spent almost one hour for two separate calls in additional consultations and planning of over 20 different vaccines and medications for my wife and I, and we both had max 4 vaccines per person per visit done on 6/2, including COVID vaccine, which unfortunately is NOT over yet! On June 2nd, Veronica the most beautiful pharmacist per my wife, a very nice, knowledgeable, organized and efficient pharmacist in Costco pharmacy patiently consulted with us again, prepared and administered 4 various vaccine shots for each of us and extremely carefully cautioned us with Vivotif oral vaccine for Typhoid, that it needs to be refrigerated right after we get back home and how to take it! Due to all the days we wasted with CVS (our vaccination appointments made online on May 11 for May 13, then on May 11, texts one by one from CVS that Rabies vaccine then later the Hepatitis A&B vaccine were removed only Typhoid is available, all with no reason) and by no help from MINUTECLINIC in Seal Beach, we don't have 30 days before our trip on June 29 to get the 2nd shot for Twinrix, the 1st shot on June 2nd will NOT give us full protection we very much needed. NP Wen was very personable, friendly, and efficient. She was great at explaining the treatment for my issue and provided wonderful care.

A complete waste of time! From not being there the hours as posted to a website that is unable to schedule appointments, to the automated phone system that runs you in circles and then tells you to call the CVS pharmacy for information which leads to the pharmacy telling you they don't provide information regarding the Minute Clinics. The whole thing is amateur hour. Unfortunately I made the mistake of going in the following day, scheduling an appointment onsite, waiting my turn only to find out the price quoted online for a simple lab test didn't include a $100 fee for the technician consultation plus the cost of the test. I didn't need a consultation I just needed a 1 minute blood draw. Do yourself a favor if you are just doing lab work (tests) and go to Quest or LabCorp. read more

I just left and let me tell you ms.win is absolutely a fantastic asset and a blessing to have, cvs is lucky to have her. I have been dealing with a painful issue. I went to the er, plan parenthood, and proceeded to contact my primary care provider and received no assistance even other minute clinics were unable to fit my needs. But mis.Win was on point I went to the kiosk to check in and it said that the wait was an 115 minutes or I can book an appointment, I booked an appointment for 240 luckily Mis.win had an ending appointment and seen me waiting outside. She came up to me and asked me what was my name and if I needed help. And proceeded to give me the best service so quick and efficient much appreciated. Thank you God. read more

BEWARE: they will cancel your appointment without telling you! I scheduled an in-person appointment on the CVS website to have a physical done for work. I scheduled the appointment two days prior from the appointment date. When I arrived 15 minutes early to check in, the check-in kiosk informed me that my confirmation code was not active. When I told the staff that the kiosk wasn't accepting my confirmation code to check in, one of the girls said she would look me up manually by my last name and birthday. When she came back out to the waiting area, she told me that my name wasn't showing up on the schedule. I showed her my confirmation email, as well as the reminder email I had gotten the day before. On top of that, I also showed her the email that I had received 1hr prior to my appointment time letting me know that I could check in. The girl went back to her computer and then came back out with a piece of paper that stated my appointment had been cancelled. There was no date or time on the piece of paper that would have indicated when the appointment was cancelled, nor did it mention who cancelled the appointment. At this point, I was extremely perplexed and taken aback. I told her that I did not cancel my appointment and it is very unprofessional for them to have cancelled my appointment without informing me. She stated that they would never just cancel an appointment so it had to have been me. Why would I show up to the appointment if I had cancelled it??? I asked if they could take me anyways because clearly this situation is messed up but unfortunately she said they couldn't. I asked if they could accommodate me in any way and she said no. Wanted to extend a huge thanks to nurse practitioner Wen Cheng for seeing me during both of my visits in the recent two months. I absolutely have no idea how I contracted C, and tested +, around my birthday. I collapsed when NP Cheng informed me of the test result. I went in to get a TB test on July 1st which was administered by Terry. Then came back 48-72 hours later on July 4th to get my results. While they printed out my results, I also had them fill out separate TB paperwork from my program. Terry was so helpful, kind, and easy to talk to. She showed she cares for her patients and I highly recommend scheduling an appointment with Terry so you can have the best experience! read more

My kiddo and I had a fantastic experience with our first time at the CVS minute clinic. We had just found out the week before, that her physical from last year had expired and she wasn't going to be able to attend camp without it. Called our physicians office and of course, they couldn't schedule us sooner than a month out. They were the ones who recommended Minute Clinic for my child's camp physical. So I scheduled an appointment online...for the next day! It was the easiest experience ever. We waited maybe 10-15 minutes for the person before us - just walked around the store and shopped for necessities. Then we were in to see Terry (sp). She was so nice, knowledgeable, thorough yet efficient. We were out of there with the proper medical paperwork, paper towels and Tide pods in no time. I didn't even bother with my insurance. It was cheaper than what I would have paid at the dr's office. Thanks so much Terry! Hope to see you again next year. :) read more

I had a bad ear infection with a quick onset last week and was in a ton of pain. I'm in between primary care physicians right now and needed to get treatment fast. I made an appointment same day and was seen right away. The nurse reviewed my symptoms and gave me antibiotics which cleared up the infection. For simple treatments like this, this place is awesome! read more

have no clue who made them doctors spent 100 on medication and feel exac the same 2 days later they acted like they know what I had but they obviously had no clue. now this is 5 days later they gave me terrible cough medicine that doesn't let u drink water and I looked it up it's pretty much just a money run. The nurse who was supposed to help me was scrolling on Facebook for about 5 to 10 minutes until she was notified I was there. I've tried to call this place and ask about my insurance there is no one to talk to you or answer the phone. I showed up in person two days ago and no one would speak to me. Do not give these people your money. Also someone should fire the girl who has so much free time she can scroll on social media instead of help people read more

Incompetent doctor on staff. Waited 15 minutes until minute clinic opened, was told a sore throat was not an issue that could be seen at urgent care as a walk in, but to make an appointment and select symptoms. I did so, waited another hour to see the doctor. The nurse that checked me in was nice, but the doctor seems to have a fetish for anxiety and making people seeking help feel hopeless. The nurse is rude and cranky. Plus they have a horrible billing department. My health insurance covers my visits there, but I keep getting a bill from them. Every time I call to clear up the matter, I'm on hold for almost an hour. Not planning to ever go back. read more

I had to pay 150 dollars when in reality I didn't have to pay a penny because my insurance does cover it!! And all because the nurse didn't want to take the time to input my insurance number on the system! Worst customer service ever, Ashley was the worst! I had apt which was verify by another nurse online. Came in on time she didn't want to help me she said I had to pay out of pocket when the nurse online from cvs said it's fine my insurance covers it after agreeing to pay out of pocket she said I will have to wait until She helped everyone else! After having already an apt! So many people have complained about Ashley I don't know why she hasnt changed her bad customer service she's obviously hasn't been corrected by her supervisor Erica who has also done a bad job to make sure clients are taken care of read more

This is the worst establishment ever created. You can't call the minute clinic directly, you can only call their hotline with someone you can barely hear picking up the phone. I spoke to the hotline lady and she tells me that there is no wait at a minute clinic 15 minutes from my house. It is 5:57PM right now and she tells me the minute clinic closes in 33 minutes. I ask her to contact that location and let them know that I am coming, but she says she's unable to do that. Upon rushing to the CVS, I hurriedly try to sign myself in on the kiosk. I finish at 5:17PM and out come the nurses with all of their belongings. Me and another woman with a sick daughter plead for them to see us, but they tell us they can't because they have closed their registers, the computers are shut down, and they don't get paid overtime. Wow. America has surely fallen to the pits. They should advertise that they close at 6PM to avoid these types of issues. What a huge waste of time with people who are incompetent. Don't go, stay away, and spend your money elsewhere. read more

This is a very convenient way to resolve an immediate problem. We stopped by, the RN was at a required lunch break. We signed ourselves in on the computer kiosk and checked in. It said to return in 27 minutes. We did and she was expecting us. She was finishing up some paperwork but said she would be with us in a few minutes. She was. She explained everything and the procedure and we were both taken care of one behind the other. She was courteous, informative, thorough, knowledgeable and welcoming. I highly recommend this location's Minute Clinic. The RN was wonderful. read more

This place sucks! I had an "appointment" for 4pm. Got there early, it said I had 0 minutes wait time. 35 minutes later my wait time changed to 45 minutes! I was standing by the door the whole time, no one came in or out! The flu shot is $10 cheaper at the pharmacy, so I walked 20 feet paid $40 bucks and left. My wait time when I left was 37 minutes! read more

DO NOT GO HERE. First - this is not really urgent care. The nurse even said "I know Google say it is, but we are limited." I should have trusted the other reviews. The nurse practitioner has ZERO sympathy for anyone or anything. The first client I watched her take in she was rude, and pushy. When I saw her to just SEE if I could be seen she avoided my questions, went in circles, was rude, told me I was arguing with her when I literally was just asking questions (I know you might think - this girl was probably being aggressive or rude herself - so much of the opposite.) On top of that, she was late from her lunch, their lunch is 1-2 and no one knew where she was until 2:15. No one was in the waiting room and the staff refused to utilize that time by helping a young girl with a cold. If I could give them zero stars I would. Biggest waste of my time. read more

Love this place! The minute clinic is so convenient! They get really busy so it helps to make your appointment online so you don't have to wait long once you arrive. Of course there will always be a little waiting because this is not a regular doctors office, it's a walk in clinic! The staff is very very friendly and they get you in and out as fast as they can. read more

First off.. the Nurse was late as hell. 30 minutes to be quite exact. I can understand 10-15 mins but, an entire half hour is absolutely ridiculous. Someone needs to learn about punctuality, and the fact that she was a little rude, absurd. Second, they lied on the phone about a specific service that they said they would provide. Who in the world does that? Are you asking for people not to come to your establishment? Because, that seems evident. Thirdly.... I told her my condition and she had no idea what it even was.. why are you a nurse?! Holy hell, I'm never going here again. DO NOT use the minute clinic for Covid Testing! I was quoted 24 hours, then 4 days, then 8 days and now no ETA for results. Pretty much makes these test useless. But it doesn't matter to them because I am sure they already billed the insurance company. If you can't process the samples you collect then don't be in the business. I can't return to work or go anywhere until I get the results. Ridiculous!!!!!! Now I'm Looking for another location for the test. Kiss that week goodbye. read more

TERRY IS AMAZING!! I came in 2 minutes before her lunch (unintentionally) needing to get a psychical done for work. She saw how stressed I was about needing to get everything settled with my new job and worked 30-40minutes into her lunch in order to help accommodate me. She was so kind and so sweet. I went to this location because my insurance website said it was covered. It turned out not to be, which is okay. The LVN was so sweet and caring and gave me a list of places my insurance did cover. However, the NP was completely unprofessional. There was no line and she refused to get me checked in. Kept referring to me as "guy with the ear pain". I work in the healthcare industry and I'm sorry but you need way better bedside manner when referring to patients. I'm only giving two stars because the LVN had excellent bedside manner and was able to direct me where I could get care at a cheaper price. Thank you, you are appreciated! read more

Just got vaccinated today and was helped by NP Terry Hoffmann I believe. She was great! I hate injections but she did it really quick with no fuss! She was extremely friendly and helpful, I'm actually really glad I met her today because I was having a semi bad day but she had a great attitude and was just awesome. read more

I called minute clinic to check closing time. They told me it's 6:30. I arrive here at 5:30 and she told me (with an attitude) that she is busy and can't see my daughter who has an ear ache. I asked her to let me know if there is a near by clinic and perhaps someone can help me without an attitude. I asked her how it it my fault that they are closing at 6:30? She had a 'patient' with her when we arrived with whom she was casually chatting and after that she slammed the door on me and her screen status changed to busy. She said it's going to be 20 minutes, another 20 with the other patient and after that my kid. This puts us at well within her working time, but we shall see. read more

My insurance company included an insert in its most recent mailing which included info on the minute clinic. In theory, it sounds fabulous. Rather than set up an appointment with your doctor, which can take weeks, you can stop in to see a nurse for non-urgent treatment. Think skin rashes, ear aches, flu diagnosis, and minor burn treatment. This clinic is NOT intended to replace primary care but rather supplement it by tending to patients' basic needs and by having walk-in hours 7 days a week. This was my experience today: I went in to get an ear irrigation. It's a minor procedure that involves water and a syringe. I figured why go to my doctor when I can simply go there and have it taken care of as part of my errand run? I proceeded to sign in electronically and answer a series of questions. Then I was placed in a queue. When I saw "100" next to my name, I knew I wasn't being given a grade. 100 minutes? Maybe they should call it the "Minutes Clinic." Rather than wait, I chose to have the clinic courtesy text me. I drove back home (10 minutes) and started working on something. When the text came in, I had to stop what I was doing (cooking), jump in my car, and make the 10 minute trek back to CVS. When I arrived, I explained to the nurse, Lee Ann, my situation. She was very helpful but said I'd already been removed from the system and would have to sign in again. In the end I only waited only 5 minutes or so. Terry took further information while Lee Ann took my vitals. When all was said and done, I had one ear irrigated but did not leave there feeling like the problem had been 100% resolved. I can hear fine and could hear fine before going in, but sometimes it's a matter of degree. Unfortunately, my ear is not my knee or my elbow so I have no way of knowing if the treatment was successful. I think this clinic idea certainly has potential but they NEED to improve the system in terms of wait times. I was told 100 minutes when in reality it would have been more like 30. Still, that's a bit of a wait, too, much longer than I wait to see my primary physician. I'm not sure the clinic will save anyone too much time, but it could be useful if you have basic symptoms that need same-day attention. Would I go back to get my ear irrigated? Probably not but it's good to know it's there just in case. read more

I arrived here before 9:00 am 1st in line. At 9:30 we (whole group in line now) were told someone might be here by 10:00. True enough a Nurse practitioner arrived at 10:00. She was delightful and managed to answer questions and deal with multiple issues at the same time with amazing efficiency and courtesy. I would have given five stars but for the wait, which as it turns out probably could not have been avoided. read more
