Excellent dinner at La Vegan, everything was tasty and fresh. Injera was soft and supple. We ordered the full, Shiro wot, and Veggie combo platter for one, which includes many different items; my favourites were the spicy lentils and Shiro wot. The full was mild and fine, but I prefer the spicier dishes. Service was good. The restaurant has a generally good atmosphere , but unfortunately when there is a lot of coffee ordered, it gets very smoky and the smell gets into all one's clothes, and was unpleasant for us.

This is what makes eating out in Toronto so great, finding a hidden gem like La Vegan. While I've only eaten Ethiopian & Eritrean fare a couple of times in the past this is by far the freshest and best tasting that I've had. I should note that while this is a vegan place, as a non-vegan I left full and satisfied. The restaurant is throughly charming inside, bright and welcoming. Table for 4. We had four dishes: Shiro Wat (roasted chickpeas) my fav, Gomen (collard greens), Full (creamy fava beans) and Mushrooms Dulet. The diced mushrooms which were delicious did have some spice to it. We also ordered Gluten-Free Injera. Portions were generous and prices fair. Service was superb. Couldn't recommend La Vegan higher.

I love Ethiopian food and this is even better with it being vegan! The service was attentive and quick. We got the veggie combo and the okra and we cleaned our plates! The combinations in the veggie platter are delicious! We will definitely be going back!

We got the veggie platter and the minced mushroom with Injera, the food was excellent. Injera was fresh and the portion size was large! What stood out was the service, the server spilled some water by accident and my shoes got wet, they got me a pair of socks, which was very kind of them. The place is really cute and I highly recommend this place.

This is definitely the healthiest Ethiopian food I've seen in Toronto. They use olive oil from Italy that they buy at Costco (yes, I researched this) which is a healthy oil as opposed to the canola oil or canola/veg oil that every other Ethiopian food restaurant uses in their food. Canola is also GMO and I don't want to support GMOs. The food here also has markedly less oil, then a restaurant such as Rendevous where everything is slick with oil but delicious. It's definitely the most expensive choice for a gluten-free veggie platter at $30 but this is why, and it's worth it.

If it's your first time here, do go with the La Vegan Veggie Combo. They can make it for one, two, three, or perhaps even more! The food is delicious, nourishing, and healthy! The service is courteous, knowledgeable, and prompt. As for the ambiance, if you really want to take it over the top, make sure to ask about the coffee ceremony! You are in for a treat!

This new vegan restaurant has it all! Beautiful decor, tasty food and pleasant and attentive service! I really enjoyed my time here. My partner and I shared veggie combo and azifa. The veggie combo has a few different dishes in small sizes which have combination of cooked veggies, potatoes, lentils, peas. Very delicious! Azifa is like a crepe (which is called injera) with green lentils. So tasty and a good size portion. Highly recommend for everyone!! Will definitely come again soon!

Loved everything, loved the interior aesthetic, which is in line with their Montréal restaurants. The salad empire lives on in Toronto! It looks like they are doing really well, as there is a steady stream of customers, even during the afternoon. I'm glad they are expanding their restaurants in Toronto! Disappointed, I opted for a new addition, to be told that they could only put the dressing on the side in a take out bowl, as the dishwasher was broken. The whole reason I love this place is because they add the dressing and serve in lovely, large bowls. They also only do takeout if you go in a hour before closing. Will give it another try, but feel it's going down hill. We left and went elsewhere for a salad. If the server had agreed to mix the dressings in the takeout bowls, we would have purchased them. Apparently they couldn't accommodate. I don't want a takeout, deconstructed salad. That's what made Mandy's so good, but I think they've missed that point. The place was empty on an early Sunday evening. Quite disappointing.

There were barely any walnuts, and despite paying for extra cranberries, there were hardly any included. The kale made up most of the salads, yet it was tough & difficult to chew. Most importantly, these salads were by no means worth the price. For what was charged, I expected fresh ingredients and a reasonable balance of toppings. Instead, I received bowls that were mostly kale and quinoa, with the premium ingredients largely absent. What turned a disappointing meal into a terrible experience was the complete lack of accountability afterward. When I contacted Mandy's, I was directed to Uber Eats. Unfortunately, dealing with Uber Eats customer support was even more frustrating than receiving the food itself. The support process felt automated, impersonal, and entirely focused on closing the complaint rather than addressing the issue. Despite providing details about the poor quality of the food, my concerns were not taken seriously and no meaningful resolution was offered. Customers order through delivery platforms expecting some level of protection when food arrives in unacceptable condition. In this case, neither the restaurant nor Uber Eats seemed willing to take responsibility. Poor food quality is one thing; poor customer service from both companies makes the experience far worse. I won't be ordering from Mandy's again, and this experience has significantly reduced my confidence in Uber Eats as well.

Their menu is pretty extensive; many options and you can actually create your own salad by checking off a checklist paper at the cash. Their dressings are all super tasty. Super cute atmosphere and front patio seating available on Ossington for people watching as you enjoy your salad. I come here regularly because it's just so tasty, and a healthier option. Highly recommend!

There are several things that I want to bring up with this location…read more PROs The pros are that the food provided is great, it tastes good and is healthy which is one of the main goals of going to the establishment. If you are aiming for healthy eats, then this is the place to hit up. Its in the downtown core and is accessible. They also offer a killer Portuguese Tart to wrap up a meal! CONs Unfortunately, this is where it goes off the rails a bit. Some of the cons to the location is that the price point isn't in line with other similar locations in the area. I get more salad/rice bowls from Salus just up the street for $5 cheaper. There is no differentiator between the two on this level. I think its reflected in the customer presence as well as I've rarely seen the location filled at lunch. I would say the return for a $20 rice bowl, the amount of rice and protein provided was concerning and miniscule in comparison to competitors in the area. The last con I have is that the location doesn't operate in cash which may be uncommon these days, but it can be annoying to those who do and don't have alternative ways of paying. The food is fine, but comparable and cheaper options are available nearby. I have no compelling reason to return here and that is one of the issues I face when I think about this location. Give the public something different or at a more competitive price to succeed.

The staff came up and gave me a run down of how things work and I let him know that I was set on the Sante Fe bowl. He whipped up my order in no time and was really friendly. We had a chat about the food there and what he liked. It didn't even take 2 minutes and I was paid and out of there. I headed back to my place and have to say, I enjoyed the bowl more than I thought I would. Glad I tried it, would come back to try something else. I've actually had Brasa previously many years ago for a Yelp event but this time I decided to stop by the Queen St. location to grab dinner. Their menu boasts unique flavours where ingredients are fresh and nutritious. I decided to order a bowl from their phone app where my order was made in about 15 min. Upon arriving at Brasa, the space is accessible where the cashier/food counter area is to your right. On the left there is bar seating where you could enjoy your items there. I mentioned to staff that I was there to pick up my food where it was already made. In terms of food, I ordered the tuna ceviche bowl (Organic tricolour Peruvian quinoa, marinated tuna, avocado and sweet potato blossoms, two types of Peruvian corn, finely sliced red onion) which cost around $17. I had the bowl for dinner and it felt super healthy with the quinoa, avocado, and tuna! The ingredients tasted great together and the crunchy corn added a crunchy textural element to the bowl.
